Super super super.Thank you vvvvvveeery much nisa ji. I am on a spree to lose weight and know d benefits of brown rice. But i was always frustrated to make it because it used to take very long time to cook an used to be soggy as well. I tried making it the way u suggested in this video and it turned out awesome. Thanks once again Nisa ji

    Thank you for the tutorial.
For those making a larger quantity, keep in mind:
I used 1full cup of rice and filled a larger pan with 12 cups of water (same ratio as the tutorial). However, after I put the (previously soaked) rice into the boiling water, and the let it come to a boil, 15 minutes on "medium" were not sufficient. My stove has a "6" for maximum, so my medium was a "3". Because the rice was still not soft enough, I gave it another 15mins on "5". Then it was perfect. Maybe it was a different sort of brown rice, or my stove has a different standard, but my takeaway was, for cooking a larger quantity, it would have been simply best to let the rice boil in the maximum setting from the start for a bit more than 15 minutes.
    Hope this is helpful.
    Have a great day

@@RisingStarFalls Yeah, my mom and dad both worked full time with long hours, I was partially raised by the after school program and it was common I was on school grounds for 11 hours from 7am to 6pm. We always had cheap microwave dinners or had fast food as both of my parents would be too exhausted to cook. These past few years, I've been doing my best to try to learn how to cook and bake and I think I'm making great progress. No disrespect intended but I followed the cooking process precisely…I in fact watched the video numerous times before cooking & if I hadn’t watched other videos cooking brown rice it would’ve been a failure. So it took much longer than the initial 15 min. cooking time…it took me 45 mins. to reach an adequate consistency (brown rice no longer hard & crunchy) but in the end the rice was light & fluffy, not gummy. I guess the only modification would be to extend cooking time.
