- This piece was created with great care using the Smart Suit PRO 2 that Rokoko awarded me. The inspiration was taken from my previous work and Artur Rocha's concept. A re-imagination of the character, created by Robert A. Kraus and featured in the 90's classic game "Chakan: The Forever Man," was built from scratch using Blender and Zbrush and rendered in real-time on Unreal Engine 5.2

While this is cool, it's a bit of CG, it's not a workable game design document for a new game. We don't need another kickstarter based on a tiny bit of CG with no actual gameplay/a working plan to make an actual game.

I loved this game. The sound effects, the music, the story (it was awesome). The controls? They could’ve been slightly better (sledgehammer down).

@fabgmoraes Im not sure if you know this cuz many do not but Chakan uses a ninjutsu sword and a gold crucifix sword.
This is amazing. I remember not being in anyway prepared for the difficulty in this game as a child. I still couldn't beat it now but wow, yeah, it left a memory.

Мне постоянно в голову приходят и сняться идеи про героя Chakan. Просто безумные и эпичные сцены с битвами бессмертных богов и демонов с этим персонажем.

I've literally just finished sketching this undead bastard when I stumbled across your video. Originally, I was going for a gunslinger when I started hearing that portal theme in my head and had to give him a couple of swords instead. How is this this not a thing yet?😅

THE FOREVER MAN IS BACK!
Well, unfortunately not as a game. This is simply a homage to the original game which I enjoyed a lot as a kid. But in the other hand I have some ideas for an other animation using this character.I also share some people feelings about having an actual remake of this game. It would be awesome.

The original Chakan.... though a hard game, is totally bad ass. It feels like a darker version of Magician Lord. Such an awesome game.

But one small detail: the swords would be cooler and fitting in their original concept :) those look a bit like generic souvenir wall-hangers.

Hi. I added motion capture animation and baked to the metahuman control rig to animate on top.
I played this game in middle school on one of those modern genesis consoles you can buy from walmart and this game stood out to me on another level. Everything i was into at the time (and still am). this concept amazes me and long for this to be a fully released game. The soundtrack here is amazing where did you get it by the way?

@@fabgmoraes Did the creator draw inspiration from the Chakan Title Screen Music? The Melodies sound so similar. It sounds like it was made for this animation.

Chakan carries two swordbreaker style square blade swords, both full length.

@@fabgmoraesI stand by it, everything else is pretty sick though. I spent weeks trying to beat this game without a manual or internet back in the day, if it ever does get a remake its probably best it be a dead cells style rouge-like in the classic pixel style.
@@greedfox7842 Yes, I share the same feelings. I loved the original Chakan game back in the day, but never beaten it. Bloodborne is one of my favorite games in souls-like genre. I believe a Chakan game would fit so well in this style. I was planing on making other animations with this character. Maybe in the future when I have time. If I do, I will make better justice with weapon design.
