Great game, graphics, physics and sounds all used the same engine as X-Men 2 Clone Wars(also an awesome game)...the way of choosing which levels to play & going in & out of levels and combining potions to gain abilities may be confusing at first, but they are also the game's greatest features(besides the awesome graphics and story art). It's underrated, misunderstood, but freaking awesome for Sega Genesis. A solid 8/10 imo.

He smiled and said, "From a man of death, from Death himself, a wager. If you win, eternal life is yours. If I win, your soul is mine to do with as I wish." Foolishly, I accepted... With sword and spell, we clashed toe to toe. The world trembled at our unleashed powers. I attacked with such fury and might that even Death himself was taken aback, and then, incredibly felled! I toppled the master and he granted my reward. I am cursed to live until all supernatural evil is destroyed. I hunt... I fight... I kill, Until the end of my curse. Only then will I be able to seek solitude and forever rest.
not really the two entities are actually completely unrelated baring the tangential at best link of the Chakan for Dreamcast engine being used to make the Soul Reaver series of games when Ed Anunziata no longer could pull the strings to have the project continue . R.A. Kraus was sadly left "holding the bag" when the project was left in limbo. Bloody shame as the at he had created for the concept was amazing, but at least the Chakan 3D game engineengine did give us some good games.
Question: Did you speed up the music? I have just played this on Mega Drive and the music is much much slower and better. Strange that all Chakan music on youtube is faster than in my game. Ideas?

Maybe he is using emulation, which most of the time has 100% different sounds
That might just be a difference between 50hz and 60hz speed
