This movie here is one that makes little to no sense to someone who isn't familiar with the game. The main character can move very fast and the dark graphics don't help in figuring out what's going on. There is a lot more going on in this movie than meets the eye. For example, the player uses a secret warp involving combining the alchemy potions that are scattered throughout the levels.
This improves the previous run of the game (tasvideos.org/3103M) by 29.5 seconds thanks to a route change.
NOTE: Don't be fooled by the fake credits after the final level. The game is not quite over yet.

This game made me tear my hair out as a kid. I never beat it. Even though I spent many hours playing it. It just was not intuitive to the player on what your goals actually were.

I've never played this game, but some of the graphics seem familiar. But I can't quite place which games had similar graphics. Especially the way those bricks in the hub world look seem familiar. Musical style also seems familiar, but I also have trouble placing it.

The last boss and ending are kind of crappy.

The whole point is Death is trolling the main character. He promised Chakan immortality since he boasted he could beat Death. He did, and for his immortality he's cursed and compelled to wipe out all evil on the planet.
...Except when he tries to finally end his life after doing so, Death laughs at him that he really meant all evil in the UNIVERSE and he's stuck on Earth forever, so he's still cursed.
Beating Death again in a fit of rage (the last boss) isn't gonna change anything, it's literally just Chakan venting his frustrations knowing full well it's in vain.
