    Great change of direction speed. I don't consider him undersized for college because LaMichael James checked in at 5'8" 180 at the NFL combine and had 1700 rush yards in 2010 and 1500 in 2011. Taquan is a tough runner also. I could see this guy thriving in a spread offense like Oregon's, but hopefully he comes to Notre Dame. He could be a homerun tandum with George Atkinson III

    Smoke was nice. He was definitely one of the better backs to come thru Tidewater.

      Typical Bayside athlete. Regular thing out there on Haygood.

    He may go to UVA, but OSU has always been in his top3 along with WVU. He has yet to visit OSU, and once he gets to Friday Night Lights he will be blown away. He will be a starter at OSU very early, because OSU doesn't have any speed backs. They only have power backs now, and Urban Meyer wants at least 2 or 3 speed backs, of which Mizzell would be one, and Ezekiel Elliot would be the other.

    @765lbsquat 12 лет назад

    I know a lot about Holgersen's offense, WVU football, and lack thereof. WVU's last year to compete on any level will be this year. After that, they will suffer yearly beatdowns in the big12.

    Cedric Peerman in '09. Obviously he's not as highly rated as David Wilson but he is the first high profile RB VT has had in recent memory, and you only have a couple of other active RBs in the NFL. Did you know that no VT player has been taken in the top 20 since '04?

  • @LiquidSpirits
    @LiquidSpirits 12 лет назад

    He should go to North Carolina. Fedora is implementing a crazy spread offense.. he should flourish there and be close to home..

    wow, this guy is the perfect back for Urban Meyer's offense! Fast and quick in open space is what makes Urban Meyer's backs put up crazy stats and get to the NFL. It looks like Ohio State may be the favorite. Geno Smith will be gone at WVU this year and WVU's offense will slow way down. UVA is a joke of a football program.

  • @hoos891
    @hoos891 12 лет назад

    Yeah and he's actually not retired yet. What has Tech done ever at the RB position? And for that matter they haven't really done so well in the NFL draft at any position recently. David Wilson is the only first rounder they've had in at least 5 years. Also, former UVa RBs currently in the NFL: Jones, Pearman, Snelling, Peerman, and Jackson. Virginia Tech? Wilson, Kevin Jones, Ryan Williams, and Vaughan Hebron(?). The only name that really stands out on that list is Thomas Jones.

    i changed my mind i really hope he does because he would be used as a rb and a slot.

  • @recruit757

    "Jerry", sometimes it's about getting an education, playing close to home, or playing for a coach you feel comfortable with. All three factors are excellent for Smoke playing at UVA. The college game should be seen as a means to earn an education, not as an audition for the NFL.

    I don't know why Urban Meyer and OSU offered this kid, he doesn't have top end speed and he doesn't outrun defenders.

  • @mattw70
    @mattw70 11 лет назад

    He'll get half the touches there,that he would get at UVA.He'd have to split time with 2-3 other top recruits.

    Not sure where you've gotten that info, OSU was never in his top 3. I've only ever seen UVa, WVU, and Clemson.

  • @hoos891
    @hoos891 12 лет назад

    Too bad most analysts believe he will end up at UVa. Notice how every time he lists off his top schools UVa is first? Why go to a school where you might get buried in the depth chart when you can star at an ACC program on the rise. Odds are pretty good he will be a Hoo before the start of next season. Where do you get the OSU may be ther favorite? He's always listed UVa, WVU, and Clemson as his top 3.

  • @jerryjones9914
    @jerryjones9914 11 лет назад

    "recruit757" with his recent arrest, it really seems like his intentions of going to UVA are set on the great education he's planning on receiving. As far as "playing for a coach you feel comfortable with", that makes a lot of sense, except for the fact that Mike Landon likely will be gone after next season. He's certainly on the hot seat. The only valid point you make is "playing close to home." No argument against that. However, you can receive a great education from a RELEVANT football school

    Not sure why this kid would waste his NCAA career by going to UVA. With how strict their college life is, I see another Peter Lalich on the Cavaliers hands. Kid needs to go somewhere relevant so he can be seen. Big XII or SEC.

    what? what does national championships have to do with anything i just said? and wvu would beat ohio state as of RIGHT now. there is no denying that, but im not gonna lie they do have a bright future, and i dont have a problem with ohio state, someday i may go there, but stop making comments that are irrelevant to our argument.

    its gonna take atleast 3 years, because their recruiting has not been too good, and i dont judge players off of their stars, because that system is so inaccurate! alot of underrated and overrated athletes. i actually look at the film, but if cal can start picking up really good commitments, which they need to in order to keep up with usc, than i see them competing at a really high level.

  • @765lbsquat
    @765lbsquat 12 лет назад

    WVU would beat OhioState in football? LMAO. You obviously don't know much about football.
    Does WVU have a bright future? No, they will struggle to make decent bowl games in the BIg12. THey will get owned by Ok State, OK, and Texas every year. Even Baylor and Texas Tech will give them fits every now and then, lol

  • @Tweedergmu
