It's mind blowing how many guys toss the football behind them at the 1
And probably even more that didnt get caught in the past before refs could use instant replay.
Notre Dame vs Oregon State Fiesta Bowl 2001
That is why so many would fail at life if they weren't good athletes- they shoot themselves in the foot the first chance they get.
I agree. To this day I still cannot figure it out.
@@jhaz89 With 70% of the players being black, that is not shocking. You never did see the greatest of all time, Barry Sanders do that.
Drives me nuts
I don`t think NBA buzzer not-beaters count here. Just not in the same category as dropping the ball on 1 yard line
Was just going to say the same.
Yep, I concur as well. I was going to say the same thing.
4th'd
Exactly. Not even remotely the similar.

Wouldn't be complete without DeSean "I ain't know where the endzone bees at" Jackson!🤣🤣
I remember watching the original one where he dive from the 5 and didn't get it. Couldn't believe a player was that dumb, but figured, "Eh, high school kid."
Nope, did that two more times in the NFL I believe.
🤣🤣
@@dvs620 wait he did it again i only know about the eagles cowboys one what’s the other one😂
@@dvs620 and college i believe.
@@dvs620 the reason why desean Jackson did this is that he wanted to get the ball out if his hands so he wouldn't take an unnecessary vicious hit after he already was in end zone(this happens a lot). Jackson wasn't stupid, he was too eagerly trying to protect his health...
5:17 to be fair it didn’t look like Cook was showboating at all, he just dropped the ball
Barry Sanders had some of the most amazing runs ever in the NFL and when he scored he would simply hand the football to the referee.
Hard to say. Kind of looked like he was rotating the ball so he could hold it up with one hand in celebration. But who knows. Cook is not a flashy big celebration guy so maybe he wasn't
Shouldn’t be on the list
Barry Sanders had some of the most amazing runs ever in the NFL and when he scored he would simply hand the football to the referee.
nothing but class - i really respected him.
With Barry it was: Been there, done that before.
His best moves were before he scored not after.
Barry wasn't an insecure attention-whore that needed to use any and every opportunity to stroke his ego, unlike the knuckle-dragging clowns in this video.
Dan the Man says the dude that named himself Dan the Man.
@@evilsWa Swing and a miss. RUclips requires you to assign a User Name/Nickname to yourself. I chose this one because it's how all my friends refer to me, not out of some desperate need for attention and adulation like the idiots in the NFL that you apparently idolize.
When my son was 8 he slowed down going into the endzone. Even though he scored I chewed him up really good after the game about sprinting through and finishing the job first. Now he runs to the back of the endzone.
Edit: 11/14/2020 this is a saftey issue. In Football your chance for getting injured increases when you your slow down before the play is over. You can see which people in the replies understand this.
Nino Brown I mean it’s better to be safe than cocky.
Nino Brown how old is he now
@@bthebarber916 15. I dont understand why you asked this question.
Nino Brown It was just a question since you mentioned your son was 8 at the time
Nino Brown ummm ok so allowing your son not to have fun with his sport great job
The fact that even Jerry Rice had one of those "drops ball before touchdown" moments gives me hope.
Jerry Rice is the only one I give a pass to (no pun intended) because of his consistently amazing career
How can so many football players make the same exact mistake dropping the ball before the goal line?
That's like the Orgeon player dropping the other team scored a 100+ yard touchdown on them for prematurely celebrating. I hate that about sports. I prefer a humble win.
Dude, you gotta look cool! Then kinda dumb for a minute. Then usually cool again later.
They're football players, not MENSA members.
Because that learned stupidity in the same hood.
Arrogance
That volleyball huddle was really funny.
That was an error of the referee. The ball hits the ceiling so it is a point for those who celebrate. 1:51
@@magicogonzalez8465 for real though
It's mind blowing how many guys toss the football behind them at the 1
@@magicogonzalez8465 I'm not sure on the rules, but it didn't hit the ceiling, it hit a speaker. The announcers sure think it's still in play.
Coaches should show this video before every practice.
No?
@OneHairyGuy And view them repeatedly, at that.
@OneHairyGuy fucking idiots
True!

The best one was the guy from Oregon he looks at the guy from Washington like hey didn’t you see me celebrating I was supposed to win a true classic.cant stop laughing.the look on his face priceless.
2:05 he thinks the crowd is cheering for him, but they're cheering for the guy who's about to pass him. Feels bad, man.
Desean Jackson was notorious for celebrating TD's too early.
"He DeSean Jacksoned it at the 4!" *very next two are of DeSean Jackson* Oh my goodness....
More compilations please!
The next TWO are DeSean Jackson.

@@sharkganggucci-gooch4564 that's just good announcing. Turning DJ into a verb hahahha
It's never good when your name has been turned into a verb.
Jackson has speed but his teammate skills are very poor. He's been trouble most places he's been
Ben Watson hustling down and catching Champ Bailey at the 1 yard line is one of my favorite plays ever. Absolutely amazing. A TE catching one of the fastest CB. Champ Bailey was dead tired; you can see him get rag dolled from the hit, and he lays there for a while because he was so tired.
“What just hit Me in the ankle uhhhhhhhh BYU’s 7th point,” I’m dead lmfaoooooo
1:40
I'll never understand the dropping the football before crossing the goal line.
@DJ Tanner That was deep
I can't understand slowing down for the goal line or the finish line when you know someone is behind you.
@@otrie right? It literally makes no sense to put in the 110 percent and then give up right at the finish line.
Forrest Gump sure didn't have that problem. He KEPT running all the way out the stadium! LOL!
Cuivre Imagine.!?! Forrest Gump had a sharper brain than these IDIOTS who drop the ball before crossing the line. Lmao.😅 Gtf in the end zone & then celibrate you tool !!!😂😅
9:37 Ended on a high note. "First down, everyone! I did it!" 😂
😂😂
What a dbag
"Plaxico Burress shoots himself in the foot."
💀💀
"There are 70,000 people watching me right now, and 10 million more seeing me on TV, but I'm so insecure that I need to showboat and draw more attention to myself."
Meanwhile nobody sees your insecurity because nobody wants to look at you
"Like his pro career, a wasted opportunity" 🤣 I had to pause the video and yell "DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN" till I ran outta breath
I’m digging these montage style videos with no host. Not saying that in a negative way because those are just as good when some explanation is needed but to simply just watch, these are legit. Keep it up yall!!
Personally, more context would have been enjoyable.
Ya because the vid would be way longer
1:50 That tackle by the punter Baker is an absolute thing of beauty on its own. The fact that it is partnered with showboating makes it even better. And you crown this with it being done by the hustling punter - magnifico!
I can't believe they didn't do the 2014 game of Oregon vs Utah football. Where a Utah player was wide open and ran the ball for a touchdown but dropped the ball before he crossed the line and an Oregon player ran it 99 yards the other way for an Oregon touchdown.
That's why never give up on the play even if you think it's impossible to catch-up.
100% true
Just think of Brady and the Patriots coming back from that 28-3 deficit in Super Bowl LI.
Y’all see DK Metcalf😱
Chased him down 95 yards like a lion and a gazelle
110% until AFTER the whistle blows...
I always tell the soccer kids, play until you hear the whistle.
Reminds me of a track and field coach once who told the entire team, always run through the line.
One of the reasons I stopped being impressed by Usan Bolt. He always used to pull up short and run just enough to win. I would have loved to have seen him really pour it on once and run through the tape.
Same here. When I was in high school football, our coach used to tell us to always finish strong through the finish line.
Never stop or slow. GFI...Go for it.
I was hoping to see the Patrick Roy vs Red Wings statue of liberty fail... That one always makes me LMAO
Where's the Oregon vs Utah early celebration? That one was the most embarrassing.
Utah player fumbled the ball at the goal line and Oregon ran it back 100 yards while Utah was celebrating in the endzone.
2:27, his face is priceless, he's like, "Hey, what are you doing? You can't do that! I'm was going to win!"
These early celebration montage should be on every coach's day 1, lesson 1 plan. Lesson #2: humility.
Im surprised you didn't put Kaelin Clay in this from the 2014 Oregon vs utah game. He literally dropped the ball at the 1 and Oregon picked the ball up and took back for a TD, it completely flipped the games momentum for Oregon.
Yeah I wondered that too. That had to have been the most embarrassing football play ever.
I was wondering the same thing. There was a lot of these clips that had players drop the ball at the 1 yard line, but in this case, Oregon took it back for a touchdown, all while Utah was celebrating.
Talk about a 14 point swing!
2:25 love how the guy looks at the other runner like "Dude, wtf...I was supposed to win!"
Oregon runner looked at ole dude like " not fair! You cheated! 😭"
HiFi5280 for real
After all, they/he are DUCKS... 😂😂

OH, I'm not so sure😁. My VB jersey # @ TTech, signed my letter of intent on the 13th, graduated from Tech on the 13th, Signed my teaching contract (retired on the 13th of May, 2018) on the 13th, and signed for my first car on the 13th. 13 has been great for me. Tell me, #7, why?🙂
I thought the endless commercials were over, but I celebrated prematurely.
This is by far my favorite video all time because it shows the way that even the best in the game mess up by not finishing what they started!
Porzingis' basket being waved off by the referees, is Nothing compared to dropping the football at the one yard line.
I love these compilations TPS, please do more! :)
All football dudes dropping the ball at the 1 yard line have one thing in common.
Their names are now officially DeSean Jackson?
Yeah. They are stupid.
They’re all dudes
I know! I know! Their lives matter more than anyone else's.
Selfishness
"shot in his foot" was brutal one lol
Probably the most boneheaded of all.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Davin Cook just lost the ball, he wasn't celebrating. I watched that one live, he went to switch the ball to his other hand and dropped it.
Do top upcoming stars for every NFL team
This might just be my favorite TPS video ever 🤣
Been waiting for the best drop until the end.
if u make a shot at the buzzer and had i called off thats different

4:36, 4:49: FFS, you'd think DeSean Jackson would learn after the first time!
Lmfao the backpedal & the soccer goalie killed me…
I think it’s great seeing this kind of stuff! It lets me know who is interested in actually winning the game with their team, and who is just there to try to try to be the next superstar and make a highlight reel. It’s also great stuff for making compilations like these so we can all laugh at these people behaving like complete tools.
I was always told you never celebrate until the play, or the game, is over. That your celebration is for you and your team, it’s not to clown on the other team or to rub it in your opponents face. And that you should respect your opponents. Following those rules never steered me wrong or had me looking like an absolute fool in front of everyone.
TPS should make more videos like these were we don't see the host every 10 seconds good video tho 👍👍 keep it up guys
Running backs and receivers... you have one job. Cross the goal line, then you can drop the ball.
Add to that, Trevathan of the Broncos, Hall of Famer Ed Reed, the Legendary Leon Lett of the Cowboys, and that player for the Bears, all trying to score on takeaways.
that dk metcalf play wouldve made the cut if this video was made a year later
I love the way you make your videos, keep up the good work👍🏾
I like the one where the punter trips him up. lol Good one punter.
Dalvin Cook was just a fumble, he was not celebrating at all, he was trying to score. I still can't believe the idiots who drop the football intentionally before crossing the goal line. You literally have 30 feet of endzone to drop the ball and celebrate
I love rewatching this video! I can't understand how that softball player runs the bases on a homer, jumps and misses home plate, and doesn't realize that it's required to finish her home run?!?!!?
Thx for having this without trying to voice over anything.
Cook/Blackmon weren't celebrating, they just straight up fumbled the ball. Also, how is a buzzer beater being .1 secs late (that you tried to get off in time), celebrating too early? Some of these qualify, others just don't make sense for this category....
Leon Lett had another one when he touched a blocked field goal against Miami.... the cowboys lost LOL.🤣🤣🤣🤣
In that situation though, it wasn't him celebrating too early. ....It was the rest of his teammates, lol
Thank you for including some CFL content! Haha 😱🤣
My neck is sore and my brain is crooked from trying to read these titles....
Zachary Jones WORD!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I wouldn't count the Durant and Porzingis non-buzzer beaters. It's not like showboating and it's usually so close you can't tell without the replay.
It's cool seeing videos like this with guys like Ray-Ray McCloud. I honestly didn't know him until his time with the Steelers. Now he's been the answer to their kick and punt returning woes. Funny to see guys like that in a "before they were famous" type of way, especially in this light where they making some pretty embarrassing plays lol
8:58 thats a violation right there 🤣
Why so many players drop the ball short of the goal line? Does it suddenly turn to molten lava?
Nick Taylor Hot potato, hot potato, hot potato, hot potato..
Ego.
The clips are too chopped up. Really can't get into each moment very well.
That and the fact that the writing is sideways
@@smedley1544 Could also do without the annoying music between each clip.
Agree. You're barely done with one before moving on to the next. More slow mo, replays would be good.
The ufc ref looked at the fighter when she stopped jumping 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Really great to see rugby included in this vid. Pls keep doing more of this!!!
Yeah. I love the rugby plays.
Where's the VIKINGS' Jim Marshall collecting a fumble and running a long way into his own end zone?
Because no one was celebrating prematurely, and Marshall was celebrating inappropriately! LOL!
It's amazing talented we pay for playing, this was hilariously funny. Made my day😃👍!!!
I really appreciate how you show the clip once, and move to the next.
I will never understand the logic of dropping the football at the 1 yard line or celebrating before the score.
Perception errors. Like people who park very badly.
@@mikecromaticm2896 Or showboating with the I am the greatest attitude.
Jerry Rice...say it ain't so! Never thought he'd end up in one of these...
2:15 😂 The silly gazelle starts to celebrate as the hungry lion goes in for the kill.
The tackles at the 1 yard line are not bad. Sad but not too bad. The fumbles are horrible but the 🏀 toss in the air by Michael Ruffin may be the worst one yet...still watching more videos
3:56
Well, i think that is ON the rest of the team, not on the player. Even if he slowed down with still 30 yards ahead, he already made the sprint... And the team just left him alone
I cringed hard while watching this. One time the receiver dropped the ball at the 1 at a K State game and my dad and I were like 😬🤦🏼♀️🤦🏻♂️
I can’t believe how many times DeShaun Jackson pulled this crap. I know he’s a great athlete, but I would never want that kind of player on my team
I did just subscribe, but I've been watching you guys for a long time. Love the football content!!!
8:27 "...Ed Reed, the rookie."
He made up for it.
It is always interesting when you can point to a defining moment in someone's career. He learned his lesson after this play and never did anything dumb like that again and became one of the greatest players of all time.
You forgot one: TPS almost makes a great compilation video FTW, then decides to position description text sideways. Fail.
Finally something about rugby pls do more thanks👍🏽
Great compilation, thank you, sir.
I once did something prematurely that was embarrassing but trust me it was not to do with sports
unless you consider NNN a sport
@Nyj 5665: Can you please elaborate ?
I don’t know what’s worse. The embarrassment or the fact that this happens so often, you can make a video this long.
You missed the best "Dropped before the Goal Line", when Kaelin Clay did it playing for Utah and Oregon returned it for a touchdown.
That play turned the game around and was the highlight of an otherwise dismal season for Oregon.
I love this vid cuz it brings me joy to see the premature celebrations
A few of those who dropped the ball need to be investigated for points betting or betting on fumbles.
Do top cornerback/safety duo heading into 2019-20 season
Imagine how the film room was when looking at these plays
The runner....priceless!!!
Desean Jackson did that how many times lol
How to get into the Hall of Fame in 3 easy steps:
1) Score touchdown.
2) Hand the ball respectfully to the official and return to bench. (see Emmitt Smith)
3) Review previous drive with coaches to find ways to improve.
Repeat these steps throughout career. (again...see Emmitt Smith)
Note: dropping the ball prior to crossing the goal line makes the proceeding rules null and void. You will not make it into the Hall of Fame.
You missed Utah dropping the football on the one and Oregon tuning it back for 6😂
Best compilation ever made
The one with Champ Bailey... I dont think he was celebrating early, he was just out of gas from running 100 yards.
phreak1118 yeah champ doesn’t showboat or do any of those things
These were all great. Here’s an epic one. Chargers Marlon McCree, Patriots go for it on 4th down and instead of just batting the ball down McCree catches it and then gets stripped because he was celebrating. Patriots went on to win the game. If McCree batts it down the Chargers likely would’ve won.
That Dalvin Cook one wasn’t a premature celebration. He was trying to pull the ball into both his hands so he could extend it past the goal line and dropped it. I remember that one happening live.
I"m impressed by how many modern clips are 1980's video quality.
A big fckn white line visible from nosebleed seats, yet they are dropping the ball before they even cross that line...
This video makes me feel good about my depressed, pathetic, short, low self esteem self, thank you.
Did I mention balding too?
You never mentioned it before, AFAIK.

They forgot the Utah (Utes) when the showboating receiver dropped the ball early but it stayed in play and the would-be tackler recognized it as a fumble, picked it up and ran it back for a touchdown.
