So funny story: back in the original PS2 game (so not the mix), I had run through the whole game but something happened where I lost a bunch of saves and had to backtrack all the way to the invasion on Hollow Bastion I think. One day after grinding for a long time I got to this fight. It was getting late and mid-fight I realized I hadn't saved the game in hours... so I decided to pause it, leave the console on and get back to it in the morning rather than letting myself lose the fight to save and turn it off lol
Yeah 😂. I think thats because it is just a static image rather than an interactive hud. I wonder if it was hard coded to the point they couldn't do any alterations to it, or if they just totally forgot to change that.

Yeah, that barrier he does when Sora gets trapped can one shot you pretty easy in critical mode. I went the safest way by spamming dark fire because the membrane of the A/X button of my joystick was kinda ruined/teared at the time, causing it to double tap or randomly input attack at the slightest touch on it. The fight was originally supposed to be a non hit fight, but I gave up after the button betrayed me a few times.
It is. There are a few ways. You can repeatedly dodge roll the curse to have Xemnas repositioning around and then hit him with a finishing blow while he is in the air to knock him down, and he will resume doing his normal attacks again. You can also spam the Break Limit + ethers to do the same and skip the curse. And alternatively you can also spam dodge roll to evade the curse and then position yourself right under the tower where the reaction command trigger, then stand and wait to get caught and immediately spam a reflega combo to negate damage until Xemnas climb and the reaction command prompt appear. So there is a small window after the reflegas that you get i-frames and so you can smash triangle to trigger the reaction command before taking any damage.
Also known as button mash that ruins buttons. Fun fact: This fight was supposed to be a no damage fight, however I was playing with a defective 🎮 in which the A/X button was inputting twice sometimes, making me strike more than intended or simple causing Sora to randomly doing a swing at thin air just by tilting the controller, due to the button contact rubber being torn inside.
Just one more to go. Sure I had to do the data battles on Standard cause I couldn’t do them on critical, and got stuck on Xaldin, Xigar, and Xemnas for two years on Proud mode, but I don’t care. I will beat Xemnas. Even if only on Standard!

If I'm not mistaken, this same glitch was in the original ps2 version too. At first I always thought it wasn't a glitch in reality, but rather an intentional way to make the fight harder. From what I recall, the glitch only seemed to happen if you fast smashed triangle repeatedly in the original ps2 version. But if you tapped it with small intervals instead, just as the tendrils were coming closer, you could actually manage to dodge it all. The real problem though, was when you had to time the pressing to dodge Xemnas attacks as well. And since you couldn't smash for it to work, it was pretty much nearly impossible to pass through this attacks without getting hit.

Okay, but Riku and Sora dealing the final blow together was fire
I thought the same when I finished it. 😂 That was on point in the climax.

Answer the damn question
Isn't it obvious? He is still fighting the boss ever since that morning and never managed to beat it up to these days.
@@lflintx sounds about right
Xemnas: "Neil!"
Sora: "No, my name is Sora."
It is funny how Sora and Riku keep calling each other names in a single sentence for the entire final fights. Even at the final cutscene they do so.

Extremely great fights! I ALWAYS had trouble with the Block and Reflect! 😩

I think its possible to avoid the electrical skyscraper damage on Data Xemnas I.

Good to know. The tank strat is still useful if you ever come back to beat Critical mode.
Coming from ps3 to Xbox series x….thank god the reversal glitch isn’t there
