haha, Arjun is like take than you organizers.
Ya loved it 😍
"The pig is very hungry and those pawns look very tasty" -Agadmator
I’m against fat-shaming rooks. Agad needs to apologize immediately! 😂
@@MrSpeedyAceWould it help your fee-fees if he described the pawns as truffles instead? 😂
@@feliscorax It needs to be PC. I will not tolerate shaming in ANY sport. The poor rook is just living his life.
Rook needs to take a long look in the mirror.
Arjun Is like a Pitbull, If he bites you he won't never let you go. Big fan here from Italy, follow his games before he was 2700
Thanks Dude, good to see support for 🇮🇳.. which is a rarity in jealous west... 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹 flag flying high in French Open... Singles and women's doubles finalist... Paolini.. Played well... Sinner lost to the ultimate champion in an epic match... Meloni is king maker in EU now 👍👍👍👌👌👌
10:55 the piglet lol never heard a rook disrespected that way but i love it
There’s an old long running theme on this channel where rooks become pigs when they are on the 7th rank (usually the opponent’s 2nd or 7th rank so the king is trapped on back rank.
There’s also the Bishop Pair from Hell and Knights are Tricky Bastards. Probably more that I can’t remember now. B4 is the best move always. Etc.
8 wins (+ 3 draws) in last 11 games.
The guy is on FIRE right now. Loving it!
Who the hell triples their pawns in a position like that?😢
he shan’t but he did
@@vishaltripathy3620 nice1
I'm no GM, but tripling the pawns wouldn't be on my radar with a possible pawn promotion race.
Me😅
@@vishaltripathy3620just a heads up;
“shan’t” means “shall not.” It’s future tense, interchangeable with “will” (he will not).
You likely meant “he shouldn’t have, but he did.”
1:36 Arjun Erigaisi is 20 years old at the moment
He was talking about shant 😂
LMAO
The one tournament where Bobby Fischer absolutely crushed everyone during that U.S. championship.
So far, he's the only one to ever play a perfect championship.
Arjun deserves much more respect than he is getting now, and he has been proving himself again and again.
The Pig is hungry and the pawns are tasty😂
Arjun should play more with the elites ,I personally believe he's the best among all the emerging Indian talents
Gukesh is better in classical but overall Arjun is >>>>>
😂 alireza syndrome again. Beating 2500-2600s to hit 2800 then once he face actual competition he drops straight down.
@ndnd7614 actually he's not getting invite to the closed tournament's that's why he's playing these open tournaments
@@Chess_Guy_7 No Gukesh is not better, there is no proof of that. On the contrary Arjun is rated higher currently on classical rating. They haven't faced each other enough to come to any conclusion.
@@vipulguptaHe has gained alot of rating in lower rated open tournaments like Alireza did aswell. Its not that doing so isnt impressive since you basically can never lose and some games you cant even draw if you want to gain rating. But if you go on good winstreaks in these opens you can get alot of elo really fast.
Again not to say his accompishment isnt impressive because it is, but when it works it results in inflated rating that usally corrects itself as the oppostion gets stronger.
To everyone who is questioning a GM's decision to triple pawns in an endgame, understand that the tripled pawns create a wall on the e file, so it is impossible for the black king to assist in the defense of the race. If you take out the possibility of h5, very few moves hold for black.
For example, a seemingly natural move like Rg8+ and white is winning. Kh5 and now the king is shielded from below and above. White is also threatening Rxe4 since black's rook moved and and the d pawn is pinned. White's active king will eat the h pawn and create an outside passed pawn.
A drawing move would be Rg2+ instead of Rg8+. But this also only draws for due to the same white advantages above. The difference that makes it a draw instead of losing for black is that the rook on g2 can keep the white king in prison while the other rook defends against the pawns.
Virtually all other moves give white advantage. The problem wasn't tripling the pawns; the problem was missing a pawn sac tactic that leads to mate if accepted and a losing position if rejected.
The way Erigaisi plays, he might not have time or patience to notice he is past 2900! ;-)
He cant past 2900 anytime soon
@@Aryankumar-oz6cd I was being figurative ;-)
Arjun seems to have an spidey-sense with rooks moves. I remember another rook move (rook d.6 if I remember correctly) not so long ago that also looked like a blunder but it was the only move that give him an advantage. Awesome player

Lets go, Arjun.
As soon as I saw the title, i hit play Knew it was Arjun and HAD TO CLICK!

Genius!
Wow for the second pause the video moment 11:28 I calculated that Ra8 by black also wins since if white play Rxa8 or even f8-queen then white is checkmated mate in 3 or mate in 4 respectively. But what I had not realised was that white has f8 NOT QUEEN but promote to KNIGHT!!!! insane!!!
Lol.the best lines don't happen over the board

Incredible agad
Solving 50 end game puzzles before breakfast? I mean, really Agad, come on. I will be lucky if I can solve one!!!
Less go arjun ❤
Those pawns looks very tasty ! 😂
Thanks for pointing out that there's a difference between the Schliemann defense and the Jaenisch Gambit. And that (upon investigation), the mandatory d4 against the Schliemann defense does _not_ work against the Jaenisch. (I mean it's fine, it's just not bang! advantage. btw, stockfish *loves* 7.Bc4.)
Now you know why they don't invite him for the CLOSED tournaments 😂😂
Arjun winning "all in a row" would be awesome.
"He shant pass" - Arjun
Wow what a Beautiful endgame that was a masterpiece Arjun was very precise in his calculations to win that Great Game
at 8:14 why h4 and not directly Rd8 check and win the pawn??
Lol, I don't do 50 end game puzzles before breakfast but Ra2 was obvious
I found Ra2 but this game looks very similar to some other endgame covered somewhere which is where I got the idea from
Too tough of a cookie to crumble. Nice turn of phrase.
"You don't even need the other rook to checkmate." Told just before checkmating with rook.
“It just doesn’t happen. It did happen…” Immediately contradicts himself LOL.
Up until tripling his pawns, Shant played really well. But I guess he didnt handle pressure well. Its a general notion to never ever triple your pawns. Specially when there is pawn race ongoing.
That double rook checkmate would been awesome
Esos finales con las cuatro torres en el tablero son bien truqueros jeje
Amazing end game play by Arjun
"the piglet on e8" -- you, sir, are a poet
Show Nodirbek vs grischuk , and yangyi
Arjun is risking his ratings too much at this point.
He bullies lower rated players and when he plays the elite (above 2760) in a closed event, he does show a few brilliant games but he falters too often against the elite players.
He chokes.
Arjun needs a mental coach and has to remain consistent.
Aap kaha the gyani baba 😂
Bs
Firstly, he only gets accepted to prestigious closed tournaments sometimes, so he's stuck playing open tournaments. Secondly, wouldn't your first point apply to literally any super GM? Events like the World Cup or the FIDE Circuit have GMs in the 2600s that a super GM would have to play, so by using your logic, they are risking their ratings too much by playing in these big events. And using your second logic, those super GMs would also be bullying lower-rated players.
You know more about Arjun than Magnus Carlsen and Caruana. You must be having an elo rating of 4000.🤔
It's not choking it's lack of experience. but still he has some good results under his belt like Tata steel india Rapid win and blitz he won one and came 2nd. Fairly strong field. And FYI he does have a mental coach and he has one sponsor( somewhat 1 million dollar contact) so he's doing it all. Having Kasimdzhanov as his trainer( which improved his game from 2739 to 2760-70). It's just the process once he plays few top tier events he'll be a force to reckon with. Even Pragg, Gukesh and Nodirbek will have a hard time against his dynamic play. He's just unlucky that he doesn't get many invites because already too many Indians and then Invite goes to Nodirbek and still spot left then it goes to Vincent keymer.
Most elusive rook sac, this is good chess 😍
The most impressed I have been in awhile by watching Arjun.

Hey Antonio! Huge fan since 2017. Would you consider starting a fun trend? Pick a team of 6 players to play against any other team in the world. 5 from the generation of let's say, Vishy Anand and onwards, and one wild card from the past. Let's say the format is 5+1.
For me play gxf6 and having 3 stacked pawns has NOSENSE at all.No one of such a level can play this move (2600+). Even not considering the mate i mean also a 1300 rated player can eliminate easy this 3pawn stack. It’s the weirdest move i’ve seen today. 😵
Thanks Antonio for accepting my suggestion once again ❤
Any time!
If Erigaisi sweeps the field Buenos Aires will rename their country to...
...Arjuntina.
😂😂
#suggestion. Nodirbek vs Yu Yangyi
Arjun will beat Magnus's rating
Prag is the Legend Killer
Nihal is the Speed Demon King (if he wins today)
Vidit is Hikaru's kryptonite
You are the best
Possible?
Of course its possible.
As to how possible, well, if I could, I would educate probability for those who opine, through participation of those who opine and start by paying 4 to 1 if he wins all games, and 3 to 1 if he doesn't win all games.
Howfever, such games are only to be had, as chess perhaps, only in private, say at the pub or in the library.
Marketmaking aside, I have a good feeling about him. Personally coming out of a major event early, I tended to do well when I went straight into minor tourneys after. Just the way it was, don't ask me why.
Arjun is a Alien chess player
Yo fide/organisers must learn from agad

Possible unless he meets magnus.
Arjun is GOAT!
Today 2800 Arjun standard? It seem young Anand with 2700 stronger😂😂😂😂

I think in real manner the top 5 Indians are
1. Arjun
2. Pragg
3. Vishy
4. Gukesh
5. Vidhit
He is beating all no namers and increasing his ELO. Whereas, Pragg and Gukesh plays against toughest opponents….
People saying arjun doing an alireja, well what is wrong with it? Everyone doesn’t have balls to do it, u lose a game it will take 4 wins to take the lead back, u lose points when its a draw, its not easy
Hello agadmator
Anyone else thought the other guy is actually Magametor ?
I can see the green-eyed comments 😅
Arjun the forgotten Prodigy, he is not invited in any elite tournament
It feels like he sold the game, not even 500 rate would capture that pawn.
3:32 you don't show such analysis any more ... Even what you showed here was a quick brush over. I used to love your analysis In your older videos and helped me a lot, even though chess is just a much loved side hobby of mine.
no one invites me .... thats something FIDE needs to seriously consider ..... i dont no how alireza gets invitation .... not arjun or nodibek ...

Smells a bit fishy... Why tripling the pawns?!?!🤔

Hello. So, what I want to do with this message is to simply show what the Gospel is. I am not trying to force my belief down people's throats. It's your choice whether you want to accept it. Please read the whole text.
So, a question: Do you think you are a good person? If so, have you ever stolen anything, lied, looked lustfully, watched adult material? All of those are sins and anyone who sinned is not good(on God's standard). You, I and most( most because babies don't sin, and maybe specifically mentally Ill people) purely human beings have violated God's moral law. Since God is just, He can't let sin go just like that.
So is there any hope? Yes, there is. Out of love and mercy, God became a human being, Jesus Christ. Jesus lived a sinless life and finally died on the cross to bear the punishment we deserve, we deserve to be punished because we have sinned.
The reason why blood must be spilled for forgiveness of sins is because the life of the flesh is in the blood, in the Old Testament Jews sacrificed animals for sins but the sacrifice of animals were enough to temporarily cover some sins. (it did not allow forgiveness of sins, unlike Jesus's, it only temporarily covered them). Jesus is the Lamb of God, the ultimate sacrifice for sins which is enough for all sins that have been done, are done and will be done. Jesus was buried and rose again. His resurrection proved that His death was enough to pay our penalty, the penalty for our sins. Jesus paid our penalty and in order to accept the free gift of salvation from God, we must trust in Jesus's spilled Blood, His finished work on the Cross for our Salvation. And then your sins will be forgiven because of what Christ did, you will be saved. See: Romans 3:1 , Romans 3:23 , Romans 5:12 , Romans 6:23 , Romans 5:8-9, Romans 10:9-10 , Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV, John 3:16 KJV, Leviticus 17:11 , Ephesians 1:7 , Colossians 1:20, 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 .
It's not so much due to the brilliance of play by Arjun but to the silly blunder of his opponent at move 32.

Those of us who have been around since Antonio was downstairs with Meadow on the couch behind him will NEVER forget about this saga. 😀
Good boi Agadmator .... Arjun deserve his own mini saga ... I mean the kind of Chess he is playing in the last few months is incredible and its a shame how many of his brilliant games were not featured because the world was busy watching the mediocre games by Nepo, Vidit, Fabi and the overrated Gaiyyrouzjia in the Candidates ... Arjun is literally burning the 64 squares for the last 5 months or so .... Also you can chose a better picture of Arjun ..
I love the "unless you're weird about it" / "you can be weird about it and play ..." 😂😂
