Mail Drops & Resupply Boxes for a Thru Hike - Pros and Cons

In less than one month I leave to go attempt a yoyo of the Pacific Crest Trail. A 5,300 mile journey from the Mexican border in California up through Oregon, and Washington to the Canadian border, then back the same way I came, all the way down to Mexico again.
Welcome to my preparations! I've spent months getting all of this together, and hope you enjoy watching me scramble around at roughly x16 times speed, while I talk about some of the pros and cons of sending yourself resupply boxes, and doing it this way.
There are a lot of reasons to NOT send yourself boxes while thru hiking but for me, the few reasons there are really are much more robust, and make all the hassle worth it. That and guess you can say I'm kind of a nerd who likes doing this stuff.
