Until the very last moment of Season 3 I was absolutely sure they would somehow bring Tuba back. When the credits of the last episode rolled the one thought kicked in "Holy shit they actually killed her..."
I mean, it's not exactly too lighthearted on the start. It started with an episode with Tulip's parents arguing and they outright showed us that they're divorced. Also, the soundtrack of this show is so intense that it's hard to expect it to be lighthearted if you watched at least one episode. Not like they had MLP vibes or something 😂
I grew up with samurai jack and courage the cowardly dog etc, so this stuff is cool af to me, you don’t need full blown violence to make something disturbing or more mature in nature.

It doesn't help HBO kinda blocks people out or doesn't put out enough on an animated series. Unlike CN, Disney, Nickelodeon, Adult Swim, etc which can get alot of traction because having much broader exposure and advertising lets a fandom and viewership build. HBO's paywall tends to crush everything that isn't a movie into nothing but obscurity till its too late for the studio to keep going. Its how Bravest Warriors ended up dying out.
When the train realizes you're never leaving, it makes you leave. It knows you're lost, and are never going back to the life you had before. The number system of the train deemed him unfit to ever return to society.
I honestly think this was never meant to be a kids show nor did they try to appeal to kids, apart from being a cartoon. If there were swearing, it wouldn't change that much but it still had a pretty lighthearted vibe sometimes (especially season 1) so there probably wouldn't be a lot of cursing if it was rated for adults

I've never seen this show but the way the blond haur guy died was kind if satisfying. He killed a bunch of people for his own gain like a monster. And when he died, it wasn't the power of friendship or a drawn out monolog with the protagonist. Instead he was hunted down and killed by a bloodthirsty monster. It was just nice to see the bad guy actually get his comeuppance.

Companies like Disney will tout the inclusivity bs when they really are just there trying to make more money off of it. Just look at what they did with the Star Wars sequel trilogy posters and the 1 second lesbian kiss scene in the last movie for certain audiences.

Swear this is the last time I’m going to explain this; “For kids” means that it is not exclusively for kids, or not just some very light hearted kids show. Of course kids are still the target demographic, so obviously they can’t go way too crazy and show crazy graphic stuff, but considering what cartoon shows are allowed to get away with, besides Star Wars the Clone Wars, this is really pushing the envelope for what kid networks allow to air on their channels.
What about the one with Mace, the Metal guy who got grinded into the wheel on screen as his blood splashed on the face of Lake, the Metal girl who literally murdered him on screen?
I like how the show didnt ever hesitate. Between heavy moments, or heavy themes. Divorce, horror, death, survivor guilt, listlessness and identity. Its a shame it ended so soon.

1. Go watch the show if you haven’t. It’s one of the best cartoons in the last decade and it’s on HBO Max and each season is literally less than 2 hours to watch so it’s not that long/very easy to binge watch.
2. Can you all help me see how many non infinity Train fans this is reaching by replying to this comment with either a “I have watched the show”, or a “I have not watched the show” just so I can know roughly how many people have context for these moments and how many people don’t? 😅

I have not watched the show. I heard about it way back when the pilot came out and always wanted to watch it, but was unable to at the time. You just reminded me I need to watch this.

None of these scenes are unsuitable for kids. Any 'violence' is either implied and not shown, or commited on robots. Hell this would pass the scrupulous comics code authority.
Swear this is the last time I’m going to explain this; “For kids” means that it is not exclusively for kids, or not just some very light hearted kids show. Of course kids are still the target demographic, so obviously they can’t go way too crazy and show crazy graphic stuff, but considering what cartoon shows are allowed to get away with, besides Star Wars the Clone Wars, this is really pushing the envelope for what kid networks allow to air on their channels.
I feel like the only bad thing was the last death but most of them were off screen or on screen but nothing that makes it bad
What about the one with Mace, the Metal guy who got grinded into the wheel on screen as his blood splashed on the face of Lake, the Metal girl who literally murdered him on screen?

I like how the show didnt ever hesitate. Between heavy moments, or heavy themes. Divorce, horror, death, survivor guilt, listlessness and identity.
Its a shame it ended so soon.
Simon deserved what he got, if anything it was the perfect moment, he could never be redeemed
Funny thing, the fact that he had such a high number allowed him to be drained so quickly, so in the end the thing he was most proud of was his demise
