    I'm soooo looking forward to finally play voidweaver disc. I always wished for kind of a "dark/void magic" healer and now we finally got one. Started maining a disc in s3 of DF and still love it

    • @thelegendbehindthecow
      @thelegendbehindthecow  Месяц назад +1

      I don't want to spoil this but although Voidweaver is a lot of fun, looks and feels amazing (big hype from myself as well, let's go!), it kind of falls behind the other healers a little bit. They are still changing and tuning so there's hope... but then you still won't have interrupt and there's plenty of curse and poison dispels which is OMEGA unfair in general, even more so for priest... So just keep these things in mind, as bad as they sound :(

    • @nitepng
      @nitepng Месяц назад

      @@thelegendbehindthecow hey thanks for the little warning, yes the lack of interrupt already bothered me a bit in s3 and now also in s4, but the fun I have with disc outweighs this negative point. The Disc Priest was the first class with which I reached KSM and even got much further in DF season 3 (m+ score of 2775). Although I've been actively playing WoW since Legion, I've never cared about any dungeon content or raid progress, but since DF and especially since I discovered the Disc Priest, I've just been hooked. So of course the voidweaver probably won't be the best hero spec for healers, but for me personally it's a favorite because I've always been a big fan of darker mages in RPGs, but at the same time I like to take on the supporter/healer role. For a long time I've wanted a healer in WoW that specializes in dark magic and now it's finally coming, I'm just so hyped that I forget the few negative points like the lack of an interrupt, or stun etc.
      Thanks for your video by the way, it gave me a nice overview of all the hero speccs!

    Putting Flameshaper at dead last makes 0% sense when it is muuuuuch better than a bunch of other specs...especially Archon Disc.

    • @thelegendbehindthecow
      @thelegendbehindthecow  Месяц назад

      Fair! As I said I am being a bit harsh with Flameshaper but the reason is not throughput. It's rather the complexity that it brings to the table, especially compared to chronowarden. It will probably outperform disc priest easily but personally, I'd play disc instead and struggle than trying to make Flameshaper work. Yes, biased and harsh for sure and it probably doesn't deserve to be there but for me it's one of the hero talents that I'm least looking forward to.

    I'm playing Lightsmith, I mainly do m+ it can potentially realy shine there. It's very easy to switch to heralD of the sun if I want to raid cause it changes nothing to the gameplay. I just hope blizz takes bold decisions with lightsmith and not half decisions.

    • @thelegendbehindthecow
      @thelegendbehindthecow  Месяц назад

      Yeah, I like it in M+ although Herald plays quite well there too. Personally, not sure if I wanna track both Blessing of Summer and Lightsmith's talent all at the same time but I definitely do not mind playing it and I can definitely see it being better for some situations and potentially some keys. I might end up switching between the two based on the dungeon :)

    Great video, fast and to the point. Don't have enough interest to do a deep dive into each healer and spec possibility. I have been waiting for a video like this to sum it all up.
    I am plan on sticking with Resto Shaman for the expansion. I enjoy the Blizzard cycle of Shamans being near the top and good at the start of an expansion and then gradually decay in ability more and more as the priests and paladins complain louder and louder. Stupid Light thinks they own the joint.

      Maining evoker sounds hard! I love it so much but only as alt so I can switch to something with bigger range after playing a key with hunter, mage and warlock at the same time :D
      Keeper of the grove is going to be a lot of fun, I think I'll play my druid as such as well. And even if going into cat form is optimal for doing damage, the spell casts still do a lot and I'm pretty sure you'll be able to play without going into cat form and still pump!

      Yeah, as I said I'm giving it the harsh treatment. If played correctly, it should outperform Chronowarden but all the interactions with the breath spells and using it correctly with echos makes it a bit too complicated with everything that preservation has going on already. Chronowarden numbers shouldn't be too far behind and personally, I'd say I'll be able to get more out of it. Flameshaper is probably better if you main evoker and you play it all the time but in all other cases I'd go the other way :)

    • @thelegendbehindthecow

      I don't think it matters that much - I pick enchanting but mainly to just disenchant all the useless gear from vault. You can easily pick tailoring too. I roll with Alchemy on the couple of chars that I played the most in DF for the longer phials but at the end of the day, I think the only thing that really matters is engineering for M+ if you class doesn't have brez :)

    • @thelegendbehindthecow
      @thelegendbehindthecow  Месяц назад

      Hey mate, good question!
      I am biased but I'll say shaman. It's a reactive healer which I think needs to be the case for getting started (you can move to proactive healers later once you get the basics), the hero talents are looking pretty good and with the latest rework and the promise for more coming soon - that should be the best pick. It's a well-rounded healer all around.
      If you are interested to try melee, then Mistweaver is probably the way to go. We used to recommend holy priest to questions like this one but going into TWW, it's not going to be bad, you can still try it, but I just think shaman is going to be superior option.

    Herald of the sun to aotc/ksh. Next either totemic or archon but only to ksm. I 'm pretty sure I 'm not gonna enjoy S1 dungeons. Might try preservation. Have not tested the raid,so no idea how it feels

      Primordial has been awkward like always :) As for downpour, it's nice but you'll never hit ranged dps with it as they don't stand on top of the mobs so you are not getting that much benefit overall, especially in pugs. It's probably going to shine in raid but mediocre in M+ in a non-coordinated group :(

      I'm bad at English! When I said "S" I actually meant "C". Number wise it's actually not far (or may be even better) from Chronowarden but as I said, it makes the spec even more complicated so I don't fancy playing it unless it outperforms Chronowarden by a margin and it's seems that won't be the case.

    I can argue about the totemic and the farseer to be so far apart.
    Totemic is nice because you can do DPS while healing, but it needs too much mana.
    Farseer has a lot of on-demand healing and dmg because you can have 2 ancestors on demand and they can do DPS and healing when needed. The nice thing here is that you will never need mana. However, the Ancestral Swiftness currently does not summon an ancestor(Bug), so it's underperforming a bit. But you can rely on the riptides here to get you into Ascendance with Preeminence for 25% haste and +3s Ascendance. But to play it you really need to go with the Unleash Life talent so that you can summon ancestor on demand not wait for 3 healing surges.

    • @thelegendbehindthecow
      @thelegendbehindthecow  Месяц назад

      Good points all around! My main problem with Farseer is that there are a lot of "ifs", if you have UL, if you proc DRE, if Ancestral Swiftness works (btw last time I played I still had the two spells as Nature Swiftness wasn't replaced). So overall it's not bad, especially with UL and getting the grandpa's to show up on demand and heal but Totemic just plays soooo much smoother which is why I'd put a gap between them.

    • @Harrvell
      @Harrvell Месяц назад +1

      Just because we go do some 8-9s and we are cool with pulling 1-2 groups you need to heal a lot but it's ok, after this you just go to the next group. However with the totemic, you use your mana on that 1-2 groups and you need to sit for a drink after this pull or the next one, it just spends a lot of mana. When I was looking at the beta first notes I was thinking "Hey this looks interesting totemic you will spam totems and they will heal people and you won't spell mana at all" and now it seems like the support spells you use spend more mana than the real healing spells, that's a joke.

    • @thelegendbehindthecow
      @thelegendbehindthecow  Месяц назад

      @@Harrvell Yeah, you have to be very careful with mana and totemic. And what annoys me the most, out of all the healers, it's seems that shaman is the only one using mana. And may be paladin if you play with Beacon of Virtue. Everything else just has this blue bar than doesn't move so that makes it even more unfair imo!
