I tell you what, I watched Game 1 (week 17) in 2017 at a bar in Connecticut and could not shut up about how amazing he was going to be to everyone around, but even I couldn't fathom what he would accomplish within 7 years. Im just glad hes on my team.

I like to do it like this, if you had to go in a Time Machine and get the best player, you’re going to get Mahomes. It might even be a 31 year old Mahomes
What few bring up is that 2018 was Mahomes first year as a starter while Brady was a veteran. Also 2018 Chiefs defense was almost historically bad while Brady generally had a top 10 defense. Mahomes put up 51 and 40 points in 2 of those games and still lost.
Bob Sutton, the whole 3-4 Defensive scheme & the vast majority of that Defense was fired that year. The only one they kept that year was Chris Freaking Jones. Hired Spags, the Honey Badger & the Shark & won the SB the very next year!
(No dog in this fight) to be fair Brady started in an era where you could actually hit the QB and it was still run dominated. I don’t think that’s a fair comparison to be honest.

Chiefs get this repeat this year, Mahomes is the undisputed GOAT period no matter if Brady has 7 rings or not. Brady never 3 peated and the Chiefs are all in full force. Not to mention the Chiefs became the greatest franchise ever. I mean they are going for their 5th overall SB ring. They are already an NFL dynasty. They are in the history books. Pepper don’t realize Mahomes is playing for 6 more years. If the defense can stay top 5-top 10 the Chiefs can continue this. I love that they have made the most of their playoff opportunities. They are seriously making up for lost time.
I think it’s odd that people would take Brady over mahomes in a clutch situation because mahomes got that scrambling ability that Brady is missing meaning he can make bigger plays without having to wait for receivers to get open.
Because Tom has clutched so many time without having to scramble. He does it with less tools which is why personally I’m talking Tom all day

Coming from a diehard Peyton Manning fan, Patrick Mahomes is the greatest I’ve ever seen!! He can win the game in so many different ways!! He’s definitely outshined both Tom Brady and Peyton Manning in his young career and locked up his bid as a First Ballot Hall of Famer. I was mesmerized and blown away from the beginning, especially with the way he incorporates his baseball skills into his game of football. 🏈 Just incredible!!

In any given games that is close you can always find a handful of plays that could have tipped the result. The Dee Ford penalty is part of the game just like the Dave Tyree helmet catch in the SB. We can discuss them ad nauseam it is not going to change the end result or add SB rings to either player.

Patrick Mahomes is way more exciting to watch play than Brady was when he played ball 🏈. In any sport it’s always a matter of time before someone comes along that’s faster than you or better than you. There shouldn’t be any doubt how great of a QB and player he has demonstrated to be so far in his career hopefully he is able to play for as long as possible. We’ve still gotta see more from him and he’s got the time he’s only 28.

I would expect a bunch of qbs to have more passing yards and stats over first 7 years going forward since the league is so different than it was. The real test will be longevity
