You can say the same for Brock Purdy only difference between him and Mahomes so far is Mahomes won his first SB 🏆 Brock lost his first if Brock wins back to back starting in the super dome.d then SB 60 at Levis hypothetically put there career side by side Purdy lost first NFC CHAMPIONSHIP came back won his second NFC championship SMELL ME?
To be fair, Mahomes played more like a game manager this year and picked his moments to improvise. If he can do the same thing later in his career, he can probably play a couple more years than Farve
Agreed, Mahomes realistically only needs about 1 playmaker on his team to win games, and if he can continue to do what he did this past season, there's no reason he wouldn't be able to extend his career further
QB1 continues to play and have fun and use mix of play action and shrewd game management, with Big Red and No1 reliable target, he will be alpha category with Brady. He made not get to 7 rings but if leads in all QB averages than TB12 and gets 5 or more rings, one will be hard pressed to place QB1 below Brady
@@pardeepshori3355 agreed cuz you can say toms early bowls were just great teams and he had tons of help by defense. Cant say the same minus this year, but mahomes still did all he could with what he had.
I'm sure you'll eat these words with the upcoming season. Allen hasn't had the same weapons at his disposal as Mahomes has had... but we'll see! best of luck, and Go Bills!
I’m convinced this why people hate the chiefs. 86% of the fans are cocky, 10% band wagons 3% swifties 1% actual die hard fans that support their team and respects the teams that they beat.
For quite a while I really did not follow the NFL that much except to watch the superbowl games. The first time I saw Patrick play was against Brady & the Bucs in SB LV. Even though he lost that game, I saw right away that Patrick Mahomes was something special. After that game I became a dedicated Chiefs fan and try to watch every KC game I can. Their performance behind Reid and Mahomes since 2020 has been nothing short of magical. Great video... HBTC!
you have to mention that in college he was forced his hand. Texas tech defense was so bad he had to pull something out of his ass every game to keep his team in the game.
Not just that he literally had not a single NFL player around him that wasn't an offensive linemen lol. He was the sole reason those Texas Tech teams won anything.
@@NOAARPC7it’s like what you just said but he does it all the time like after the huddle breaks before the huddle breaks. He’s constantly doing the finger thing
Mahomes’s intelligence, football IQ, and freakish athleticism makes his adaptability off the charts. He reinvents himself every time the league tries to throw something new at him. Name another QB active right now that could lose Hill and come back the next year and be better. Just hoping he stays healthy. But even if he retires tomorrow, he already brought a dynasty to KC.
Great video, quality is A1 💯💯 It's the most ironic thing that the biggest reason Mahomes rating was lower than it should have been is because of his "lack" of mechanics, when his unique mechanics is actually the best attribute he has. He actually knows how to throw the football, like a baseball. That shouldn't be possible 🤣 but he can do it. That's WHY his throws are godly like they are. It creates a dynamic that no one can emulate, or prepare for. QBs can't throw opposite of their run with perfect accuracy. He can. Because that's what pitchers can do. Biggest enigma in the NFL ever. And he will be the GOAT by career's end, mark my words 🔥
WELL FKING SAID... that's why I say he's more talented than Rogers, and also regard him as the GOAT over Brady.. bc to have that kind of talent.. AND knows how to get the wins???... It'll be undisputed!!! AND once he gets his new weapons going...
@DwainWilsonJr EXACTLY. I do too. Mahomes can make every throw Rodgers can. Rodgers, however, despite his abilities, CANNOT make every throw Mahomes can. By default that has to mean Mahomes has more ability 🤣 and he has the winning attributes that Brady had. That combo is just plain unstoppable 💯 As long as his team/staff does everything they can, there should be no way he can lose 🤷🏾♂️
@@Bakuru Well so far it's lookin pretty nasty for our offense... I mean Xavier, AND a SIX'SIX", 324lbs OT... that's gotta be a nightmare for the defense... bt that's just it... we need our defensive weapons too... and the Ravens just picked up Nate Wiggins... 🤦♂️ F*********K.... we could really use someone right now to replace Sneed!!! Hope Veach has a plan on Sat to get those defensive weapons we need
He MIGHT be, as long as he doesn't lose his legs...An awkward tackle and a fucked up knee/elbow/shoulder are about the only things I can see stopping him. I always root for the other team when I'm watching, but that's just because his skill-set is other worldly
I don't know how you obtain the footage, but that combined with your narration made this first view well worth it. I'll book mark you, but OMG there are so many channels. But this was a story well told. Thanks Gridiron
@@Dan-1031 No, it's a much more historic thing. Especially if he rattles off 4 in a row. There's always someone who comes along and takes your title. Mahomes is taking Brady's and some day if we're lucky, someone will take Mahomes.
People forget PM15 has said he's not sure he wants to play as long as Brady did. This actually works out worse for the rest of the NFL. It means he's going to be in a hurry to better Brady in the number of rings. That's really the only stat that matters to Patrick Mahomes II.
@@m.d.d.3051 Lmao that’s not true. Especially if the only stat he cares about is rings like you said. Brady won his 3rd ring before Mahomes got his 3rd ring. Mahomes played really average in his Super Bowl performances. Also lost one to Brady that doesn’t help. Not to mention the AFC champ game where he denied Mahomes another opportunity at a ring.
@faalvey7559 You seem to forget that Brady went 10 years before winning his 4th ring, then strung together the other 3 after that. NE went from 2004 to 2014 without winning the SB. Mahomes hasn't had a season YET where he didn't make the AFCCG. The Chiefs win last year with the worst receiving corps they've had in Mahomes young career. And they still went back-to- back with a chance at something even Brady never accomplished; A 3-Peat. Mahomes has Brady's grasp of the game with far more athletic skills - arm strength, scrambling, and the ability to throw from nearly any arm angle. And let's not talk about his improv abilities when the play breaks down. And the Chiefs just got better this off season. Cry more.
@@m.d.d.3051 “seem to forget” that’s cute lmao you should bring that up when Mahomes wins his 4th. Yea they went that long without winning but do you forget the seasons in between those years? Mahomes could only ever dream of being undeafeated with a chance to win the Super Bowl. Bringing up the 3 peat and adding it to his resume when it hasn’t happened is funny. You ever hear the expression don’t count your chickens before they hatch? Saying Mahomes has a better grasp of the game already lmao you new chiefs fans are cute. Always showing your ignorance somehow

One thing a lot of analysts and even football fans missed is Mahomes putting up 93 TDs to 29 INTs in college. Tech had a bad defense with Mahomes and he was a massive gunslinger, but you expect a lot worse than a 3-1 TD-INT ratio from a gunslinger. When you get a gunslinger that can limit his mistakes, you have a unicorn QB. Mahomes Magic is real and he's the greatest we've ever seen going off script during broken plays. The man can create unlike anyone we've ever seen. Mahomes Sr. deserves a lot of credit too. We've never really seen a QB come out of the gate with that much poise and leadership in a locker room. Mahomes learned to be a professional growing up as a kid and he's remained very humble throughout his career. When you package that all together, you have the makings of an all time great player.

@@GridironFTBL "because I pissed off a hornets nest by making this video" Wasn't that the point all along? I've done extensive film study of Mahomes. He is definitely an overhyped QB like so many of them today. The Chefs desperately tried to 'make him' the QB stat king of his first two seasons last season, and that would have cost them a trip to the playoffs if they had a playoff contender their division last year. So, the Chefs are desperately trying to reinvent T Hill's time with Mahomes in this years FA and draft. Mahomes is who he is, a QB with a great O-line in front of him (think Brady). He's a guy who on film missed a lot of wide open receivers with an aging TE he has a great rapport with. The Chefs defense was the hero in the last SB, with Chris Jones having much more of an impact for 3 of the four quarters than Mahomes.
Stat comparison doesn’t really do Brady justice. To me, Brady’s greatest achievement was starting with a completely new team, and taking them to the Super Bowl and stomping out the competition with a new team. That being said, Mahomes definitely destroys Brady in athleticism and play extension.
After being a fan for 30 seasons, these last 8 seasons from Alex S to PM has been well worth sticking with the Chiefs after the Croyle and Cassel seasons 😅

I can respect Brady a ton. But yeah... Mahomes is destroying him in every way. They are both among the best to ever do it. Brady has the longest career and an amazing record to go with it. If Mahomes keeps his current pace up he will pass Brady within the next decade, even in SB wins. What a time to be a Chiefs fan!
To be fair, Mahomes is playing in a pass centric lesgue and had the best receiver and tight end at his disposal the first few years. He's also just way more athletic than Brady and can make plays Brady can only dream of. No doubt Mahomes will go down as one of the best and will probably take some of Brady's records but I still think it was remarkable what Brady was able to do with his talents and what was given to him team wise.
@@nateTrh So we're pretending Brady didn't have Gronk or Moss? I mean c'mon. Admitting that Patrick is a better QB than Brady does not do anything to lessen what Brady accomplished. The only way to compare QB's is statistics. Currently when compared year to year he tops Brady everywhere except SB's (in which they are tied). If he continues his current path he will annihilate Brady's stats. He will be literally the greatest to ever do it. People want to detract from Mahomes saying coaching, supporting cast, etc. etc. His receivers had the most drops in the league this past season and KC still won it all. Brady had Big Bill, Edelman, Moss, Gronk, Welker, and a astonishingly good O-Line for much of his playing time. All in all it's a team game, but stats do not lie. Being a Michigan fan I was a big Brady fan, I'm also a KC fan (lifelong). Which I guess I get to look at it as enjoying both players and seeing things for what they are. Mahomes is it. Period.
Mahomes has been playing under sissified rules,.. The rules have changed so much since Brady took came to town. Football is watered down garbage. It's easier to get numbers now than it ever was for Brady. Brady is the goat.!
To be fair, Brady had less of a superstar team and defense knew how to defense back then so the goat agreement is hard to tell as they aren't from the same era. Also Brady played in the Ray Lewis era too.
That's nice. Brady wasn't a good passer until they changed the rules in the NFL or he played with Randy freaking moss. Besides, Brady never, not a single time ever made a sb without a top 7 defense.
@@CalebJohnston Without any stats to back up your first bum comment, its just shit in dialogue form, and the "top defense" comments the Brady detractors love bringing up are interesting, its funny Bledsoe had the same defense, but they didnt get to a superbowl, and the Buccaneers defense got them where before Brady got there? Yeah, nowhere, Brady made that defense overrated by simply keeping them off field for long, then the short relative time they were on the field, their interceptions, and 4 and outs they caused or sacks counted alot higher than they should have, because it made them seem like they were doing alot in a short time, thanks to Brady keeping them off the field, Brady kept defenses on the field so long it also made the opposing team's offenses worn out as fuq, you might be right though, the moment he got Moss which was the first good long range threat, he broke all the nfl records anyone ever needed to break, and he wasnt even only passing it to him, your beloved Mahomes has way better comparative receivers than Brady had, and still got embarrassed by old man Brady twice; go cry more hater.
@@CalebJohnston You should've fact-checked that claim. Pats had the 31st ranked defense in 2011 when they made the SB in both yards allowed and scoring (the only worse team was Rodger's packers team with that historically awfull defense). As for only yds allowed... 2018 pats defense was 21st ranked, 2017 pats defense was 29th and 2001 pats d was 24th ranked.
I think everyone has to admit he is clearly the best QB playing right now in the NFL. No one else playing comes even close. And to be paired with the "QB whisperer" Andy Reid?! "Forget 'bout it!"
No! Brady is the best of all time however is Mahomes can continue his dominance and win more super bowls or even match Brady then he takes it. Brady won a SB on his first year as a starter which is insane, also leaving for another team to take a Super Bowl is extremely impressive. Brady was a professional in every facet of the game, the way he handled controversy and internal turmoil is super impressive. He did things that not every great quarterback could handle. Who knows how Mahomes will handle the remainder of his career and whether he will be able to sustain longevity like Brady did.
@@DynamiteDB if you're talking about his ruckie yr, that's impossible. No rookie has ever made it to the Superbowl their first yr. You know that Patrick Mahomes will be considered the best QB in NFL history soon. Tom Brady isn't better than Patrick Mahomes.
@@jefferycollyge3877 Mahomes might be a better QB technically however I believe you should be evaluated on your achievements and Mahomes isn’t there yet compared to Brady. I like Pat but he still has a way to go before he surpasses Brady.
To be fair when comparing stats outright we need to consider the passing rules changes and defensive rule changes from the start to the end of bradys career.
Here’s what you need to know about MAHOMES. He played a 43 year old Tom Brady well out of his prime. Mahomes was at his best in the peak of his prime and there were questions on who is truly greatest. That was answered in the most embarrassing way you could imagine. The 43 year old GOAT beat this young phenom to put all the questions to bed. What’s best about it ……… IT WAS IN THE SUPERBOWL :)
@@Mickey-fl6oo Normally when someone is that "seasoned" they are also so aged, you would expect them to be on total decline, and the young hyped buck is the one I would expect to be able to pull off the win
In the KC-Tampa Superbowl Mahomes' O-line was was a group of guys that were working at Home Depot the week before. Go back and watch that game. Mahomes played better than anyone on the field, but the Chiefs defense was non-existent, and the O-line was in complete shambles. Tampa was just the better team, though TB12 was still fantanstic at 43yo.
He also threw for 5000+ yards his last of college. Then his full year as a starter in the NFL. ALSO only he and Manning have passed for 5000 yards AND 50 TD’s in the same season so he belongs to a VERY ELITE club that even Tom isn’t part of.
@@Mickey-fl6oo Actually no. According to pro football focus AND pro football hall of fame he threw for 48 TD’s the year he threw for 5000+ yards. Close but no cigar.
Of course you are assuming that KC would have beaten the Rams in the Super Bowl that year the Pats defeated them after winning the AFC Championship in KC. If memory serves me correctly the Rams defeated the Chiefs in Mexico City earlier in the season. So you are also assuming the Chiefs would have won the Super Bowl against whoever the NFC representative would have been if Brady wasn’t the quarterback for Tampa completing a three-Pete even with the Chiefs banged up offensive line in that beat down. The truth is those are two hypothetical assumptions that have no clear way of making such an accusation or distinction to conclude your statement. Especially the Super Bowl where Brady played for Tampa because we don’t know who KC’s opponent would have been and if that teams defense would have been dominant enough to take advantage of KC’s beat up o line just like the Bucs did. That game was won every bit as much by Tampa’s defense as their offense. Mahomes and company couldn’t do anything against that Buccaneers defense.
@@geraldparrish1625 I mean, I’m just going off the facts. We can play what if all day, but it doesn’t really mean anything, what if they gave the ball to Marshawn, what if Atlanta didn’t blow the lead?

Honesty also? This is an indirect compliment to Brady. Without Patrick Mahomes? Brady only has "5rings." I've said since 2018? I"Mahomes is inspiring QB Tom Brady to stick around." I totally believe it. Shows Brady's toughness & will.
the 2 eras from when brady and mahomes came into the league is so different. rule changes are definitely favoring passing more. i don't disagree that he will surpass brady in statistics if he keeps the pace, which i see no reason for him not to. but let's not forget brady had no issues putting up numbers in his 40s when the offenses changed. brady's years in tampa compared to mahomes in that same span and are nearly identical with brady edging him out. brady 14643/108/33 vs mahomes 14272/105/39
Well, I'm a TB12 fan boy and haven't been a fan of Mahomes because of the GOAT talk... but watching this has got me to rethink that a bit. I should probably appreciate what I am seeing in Mahomes and stop the hate.
We can appreciate Mahomes but we can be critical of the Mahomes fanfare when they continuously harp on the fact that what he did was never done before. When a lot of these things have been done by Brady years ago and sometimes in harsher circumstances than the ones Mahomes was subjected to. I can enjoy and value the exploits that Mahomes is doing but I will not give him brownie points just because he is more athletic. One of the QB talents is being athletic but QB talent as a whole is not just being athletic. This is why when a Mahomes fanatic comments online that Mahomes is way better than Brady during his early years. They are going to say he has way more yards and TD than Brady during his first 6 season and he has won more regular season MVP’s than Brady. Ok let’s go back and look. We already know that the league has made a conscious effort in changing the rules to generate more offence and TD over that period of time. So statistically speaking the numbers from Brady early years should be bigger to account for the rule changes this is one factor. Factor number 2 Brady has never had an elite receivers during (except for Randy Moss in 2007 and 2009 Brady was injured for the whole season in 2008) his tenure in NE especially in his early years. Mahomes had Kelce and Hil in their prime since day 1 (I know Hill has left the building since). When you compare Brady and tell me that he is less deserving of being the GOAT than Mahomes because of the MVP titles early on. When you start digging deep into Brady’s career you start to notice things. The media constantly push the idea that the defence was the driving force early on. Maybe for the first year of his career and even that I am not entirely sold to the idea. Brady has been putting top 6 and better QB numbers since 2002. He did not have an elite TE until Gronk’s arrival in 2009. All the perennial MVP winners Peyton, Rodgers, Mahomes always had at least one elite receiver (TE or WR) on staff when they were winning MVP. Even Brady did 2007 (Moss), 2010 (Gronk), 2017 (Gronk). Finally just to back my argument of the impact of rule changes on yards and TD’s Brady’s numbers are way better in his 40’s than his 20’s and it’s not because of the avocado ice cream. So if you want to compare both of their careers early on have the common courtesy to acknowledge the differences in circumstances that might explain why there are variance and not just say that it’s based solely on the individuals performance.
Good video, but what makes mahomes even more special is he changed his game this year. He wasn't the gunslinger, but adapted to what the chiefs needed to win another Superbowl.
I’m not saying Mahomes isn’t a freak, but he did start his career off with Kelce and Tyreek, which are basically his equivalent to Brady’s Moss and Gronk which he only got for just 1 year and that wasn’t even the peak of Gronk’s prime
Dan, Brady only had Moss for two seasons, first of which he threw a record 23-TDs to Moss, the only Star Wideout to suit up for Pats for more than half a season. Be reminded, too, that Tyreek was in KC for two of Mahomes' Rings. Also, lest we forget, Gronk was injured for a Brady SB.
Total different game now! Just like Jordan and LeBron. Its all about not being able to touch the quaterbacks or receivers now as to compared to early in Brady's career. Same for the NBA, now you can't breathe on players. You can't compare the two. How about compare rings!
What not comparable is the fact that without an amazing defense and running game and special teams play Tom Brady wouldn't of gotten two of the first 3 not saying he wasn't great but he didn't have the team on his shoulders out the gate.
Of course mahomes will have more impressive stats his first 7 years, cant touch the quarterback right now and it wasn't a passing league back in 2000s. Brady didn't start off with a kelce or a hill.
Cool story, Brady also had a top 5 defense majority of his career. Still had front and Edelman, and by the way the reason why qbs can’t be touched, you can blame Brady for that…. Seeing how majority of it is because of how the NFL was making rules up for Brady alone 🤷♂️
@kevingoodnight6517 youre an idiot. Even when Rady played it was bad but not this bad. Mahomes since entering the league has 54 INTs called back.. doubt brady even has that many called back in his career. We're talking about the first 7 years bozo. No gronk no edelman. He won't with nobodies on offense. Still putting up great stats. Mahomes needs hall of famers and Two #1 receivers otherwise chief heads will say patrick doesn't have any help. I remember brady losing gronk due to injury hernandez in prison, branch left new England for the second time and welker went to Denver. Over 4000 yards of production from the prior year vanished. He was throwing to aaron dobson, kembrell thompkins, collie and first year edelman as a receiver. No one was saying he needed more weapons they said he will figure it out.
@@kevingoodnight6517 The top 5 defense was literally because brady kept them off of the field for such long durations of time, their job was small, thus it made them look better on paper than they actually were. Lol, this myth of rules made for Brady is comedy at its finest, Edelman was literally turned into what he was by Brady, Edelman was supposed to originally be a quarterback his self, Brady maximized his potential as an offensive weapon, I dont know of any other quarterback that was able to utilize a supposed to be quarterback as a receiver like Brady did with Edelman. And that offense you people love bragging about wasnt squat without Brady, seeing as the team turned to garbage the moment he was gone for any duration of time.
@@kevingoodnight6517Top 5 defense majority of his career? 😂 you might want to go do some research there buddy. Definitely not you’re just talking out of your ass Can Mahomes take a 31st overall ranked defense to the Super Bowl like what Brady did in 2011?
I really like the way you put this together. People say you couldnt see how good he was going to be when he was at Texas Tech. Okay maybe nobody would predict 3 superbowls, but it was obvious he was different. The rosters during those years just weren't well rounded and in SPITE of that he still lit it up game after game putting on a big show and winning or keeping Tech in games they had no business being in.
@@GridironFTBL lol even if Mahomes had the worst happen and suffered a career ender, he is already a 1st round HoF QB no doubts! Not many have ever done what he already has! Only a few even have more QB rings! He has done things only the elite of the elite have already! Can't look stupid for pointing out the truth right now.
I don’t even need to see the highlights. I remember every single game since that Denver game. My team has won the Super Bowl both times my daughters were born. I am so excited every time we get to see this guy play.
why would anyone expect that Mahomes or ANY QB would be able to match his current production for 20+ years? He could lose a lot physically and still be an all-pro, of course. All true fans of Pro football hope he will play as long as he wants and avoids any serious injury. Definitely on track as the GOAT.
I totally agree with you on Mahomes success thus far, but I think the comparisons with Brady as the GOAT are premature. BUT, it was a fascinating comparison of Mahomes first 6 years with Brady's first 6 years as starters. As you pointed out, Mahomes clearly leads Brady in nearly every category. My main concern for him, like you, is his longevity. But I think he showed more maturity last season while still winning the Super Bowl with a strong defense. Now with a few speedsters onboard, he can explore the deep ball again, which could help propel the Chiefs to a historic with the first 3-peat season in this era. GO CHIEFS!!
I like the flip from Brady to Favre in the longevity swap category... so instead of having a career as crazily long as Brady's, he swaps it with the QB who has the nearly-- inconceivably-- unbreakable iron man streak for consecutive starts. All of Brady's records (including super bowls) will be broken before Favre's iron man streak is broken...
I would argue Mahomes has played 2 different styles, his first 3 years was pure gunslinger, his last 3 years was more methodical and efficient. He has been without a real receiving corps the last 3 years and hes taking less risks and taking the pressure off his quality defense.
You cannot compare these players, because Brady played in the early 2000s, Mahomes did not. Brady never was as mobile as Mahomes. The rules also have changed to protect offensive players better, including the QBs. It should be called greatest of the era, not greatest of all time, period.
I was a diehard Bronco fan since 1964. I saw Mahomes play a couple of college games in his last year and was eager to see which team would get him. I'm glad it was the Chiefs. I ditched that sorry team and became a Chiefs fan. I used to drive from Denver to KC to see him play. A year ago I pulled up roots and relocated to Kansas. Now I'm only an hour away from Arrowhead. Go Chiefs.
Great video. New sub right here. That being said, I love watching Mahomes play. I am glad they got a better receiving corp through this year's draft. Those dropped passes were horrible.
Yeah my retention chart says the same 😂 it was doing so well until the end there, I kinda had a feeling that would be a bit on the boring side. Next vid I’ll make sure to keep it entertaining throughout, preciate the feedback
Brady was a different animal. He got significantly better in his mid-career because his playing style lent itself to longevity so he was able to take advantage of his experience. On top of that he was psychotic about eating healthy and improving his mechanics. Mahomes is physically more talented but his mental focus is not at Brady’s level. Unless he decides to go down the same road as Brady in terms of improvements to his regimens he will not stand the test of time and begin fading with in the next 3-5 years. Personally I hope he gets it and starts focusing on a better long term style of play because he absolutely has the talent for it.
Nice video! I'm always a sucker for some Chiefs content. Mahomes has the opportunity to do something Brady never could: become a many-times-over champ and MVP who's likeable and fun to watch play. He's already a good chunk of the way there.
Thank you! Yeah exactly, the chiefs dynasty is more exciting to watch then the pats dynasty because mahomes always does something we've never seen before to keep his team in games, while brady stood tall in the pocket and fired. Either side works, but mahomes is way more exciting. ps: i was alive for both dynasties, before someone tries to come at me for recency bias
Mahomes greatest strengths are his photographic memory and flexibility. He rarely struggles a full game, it's only a half at most and then he adjusts. He started out a gun slinger but had to adjust and take the underneath stuff. This next season I think we will see a resurgence of that rookie year numbers. Now that he knows he can be an effective "game manager" if he needs too, coupled with Hollywood Brown and Xavier Worthy, he will be back to taking deep shots. Defenses cannot take away Brown, Worthy, Kelce, and Rice simultaneously. It will be similar to when Brady had Moss. Yes Brady was always seen as a check down guy but then went off when given proper weapons. Mahomes will have proper weapons again this season.
Funny that teams decided to counter Mahomes by playing deep coverage every play and Mahomes just learned to become a lethal short-mid passer. Now you have to make your choice. Mahomes doesn’t care about the home run as much anymore.
dont forget half of brady's career there was not as much penalties for defense as there is now. Having a 200+ yard game back in the early 20's was considered great

Well, it's going to be worth something if you still have it.
Thanks for the feedback! I'll make sure to add more detail to my research process
One of the reasons he is so good at come-from-behind victories.
Not just that he literally had not a single NFL player around him that wasn't an offensive linemen lol. He was the sole reason those Texas Tech teams won anything.
Makes sense. If those Texas Tech teams had any kind of defense, he would have won more.
Same for his 2018 MVP season on the Chiefs

Mahomes’s intelligence, football IQ, and freakish athleticism makes his adaptability off the charts. He reinvents himself every time the league tries to throw something new at him. Name another QB active right now that could lose Hill and come back the next year and be better. Just hoping he stays healthy. But even if he retires tomorrow, he already brought a dynasty to KC.
Great video, quality is A1 💯💯
It's the most ironic thing that the biggest reason Mahomes rating was lower than it should have been is because of his "lack" of mechanics, when his unique mechanics is actually the best attribute he has.

That combo is just plain unstoppable 💯

@faalvey7559 You seem to forget that Brady went 10 years before winning his 4th ring, then strung together the other 3 after that. NE went from 2004 to 2014 without winning the SB.

And Patrick won a Super Bowl after not having a receiver corp for an entire season!😂❤

Mahomes also has the highest regular season passer rating and highest playoff passer rating

No! Brady is the best of all time however is Mahomes can continue his dominance and win more super bowls or even match Brady then he takes it. Just remember, Tom Brady is the only reason Patrick Mahomes doesn’t have five rings already
Mahomes and company couldn’t do anything against that Buccaneers defense.

the 2 eras from when brady and mahomes came into the league is so different. rule changes are definitely favoring passing more. i don't disagree that he will surpass brady in statistics if he keeps the pace, which i see no reason for him not to. but let's not forget brady had no issues putting up numbers in his 40s when the offenses changed. brady's years in tampa compared to mahomes in that same span and are nearly identical with brady edging him out. brady 14643/108/33 vs mahomes 14272/105/39
Patrick missed some games due to injury during that period
Great video. You need more likes, views and subscribers. The greatness of Mahomes can’t be undisputed
Good video, but what makes mahomes even more special is he changed his game this year. He wasn't the gunslinger, but adapted to what the chiefs needed to win another Superbowl.
Exactly, that's what makes him incredibly scary, how he can look that pedestrian all year and still come out with a ring.
Even the year he won against the eagles, he had to adapt his game to not be as reliant on the deep ball and work on more accurate consistent passws
I’m not saying Mahomes isn’t a freak, but he did start his career off with Kelce and Tyreek, which are basically his equivalent to Brady’s Moss and Gronk which he only got for just 1 year and that wasn’t even the peak of Gronk’s prime
Dan, Brady only had Moss for two seasons, first of which he threw a record 23-TDs to Moss, the only Star Wideout
to suit up for Pats for more than half a season. Be reminded, too, that Tyreek was in KC for two of Mahomes' Rings.

True

Definitely not
you’re just talking out of your ass
Can Mahomes take a 31st overall ranked defense to the Super Bowl like what Brady did in 2011?
I really like the way you put this together. People say you couldnt see how good he was going to be when he was at Texas Tech. Okay maybe nobody would predict 3 superbowls, but it was obvious he was different. The rosters during those years just weren't well rounded and in SPITE of that he still lit it up game after game putting on a big show and winning or keeping Tech in games they had no business being in.
Mahomes the 🐐
Really hoping this video won't make me look stupid 5 years down the road 😅
@@GridironFTBL hope not
@@GridironFTBL lol even if Mahomes had the worst happen and suffered a career ender, he is already a 1st round HoF QB no doubts!
Patrick is the Goat..! Go Chiefs..!
Spoken by a true KC fan!! 😮
Great video , keep it up! Your channel has huge potential!!
All pat needs to do is remain consistent and be prepared to adjust with his body over the years. If he does this, he will smash all records.
Not a big Mahomes fan but damn is he great!
Great vid this needs to blow up
This man is gonna be better than 5 points and blitz mark my words
why would anyone expect that Mahomes or ANY QB would be able to match his current production for 20+ years?
GO CHIEFS!!
Extra game per season been helping
First time to your channel and definitely subscribed.
Nice work.
This vid insane quality can’t wait for u to blow up
Thank you! Lookin to get better and better each upload
Damn I never knew this about this guy. Not even MJ was this athletic.
Brady is the 🐐 and you convinced me of it more with this video. Thanks!
You cannot compare these players, because Brady played in the early 2000s, Mahomes did not. Brady never was as mobile as Mahomes. The rules also have changed to protect offensive players better, including the QBs. It should be called greatest of the era, not greatest of all time, period.
Great video!
Dude huge video! Glad it’s doing so well!
1:19 _Pat had that walk still too_ 😂😂
I was a diehard Bronco fan since 1964.
Go Chiefs.
Can’t wait to see more videos from you dawg
proud to be sub 49 of a channel that will blow up soon.
Last time I was in this early was man of recaps.
Ironic that I graduated from the Charlotte 49ers, welcome to the family!
Very good edit! Keep it up!
Thanks, will do!
Great video. New sub right here. That being said, I love watching Mahomes play. I am glad they got a better receiving corp through this year's draft. Those dropped passes were horrible.
How does this guy only have 107 subscribers I gotta subscribe
Wait. Hold on. Let’s talk about why the field from the Super Bowl in the opening scene looked like that in the video.
Great video bro. Definitely subbing 🍺🍺
Really great video! Keep up the content!
Thank you! Will do!
Awesome visual lead-in to a really well put together video! 💥😀
Enjoyed the video, if you’re taking feedback though a lot of that stat stuff in the end is a bit redundant though.
Yeah my retention chart says the same 😂 it was doing so well until the end there, I kinda had a feeling that would be a bit on the boring side.
Next vid I’ll make sure to keep it entertaining throughout, preciate the feedback
Well put together man!! Wishing you much success on your channel!
The thumb nail funny af 😂
Nicely Done. Thank You !
Very well edited! Great job!
This video was nice!!! What is the name of the background music at the beginning of the video?
tbh i think stats dont matter sometimes, just like kelce vs gronk, kelce has the better stats but gronk played better as a TE.
yeah true but if your just looking at gameplay no stats then there’s still no doubt that mahomes is a better qb than brady.
@@DavianOlivas i mean, you can look at every superbowl brady has played, hes played better than mahomes, especially in 52
@@yeahchriss1908 yeah but we talking bout at age 28 and mahomes passed for more yards 2 superbowls by age 28 so he’s in front in that category too.
How do you play better as a tight end and still have lesser stats?

Almost depressing hearing the tv announcers on the draft coverage after Roger called the pick.
178 is my sub number, great vid man.
Thank you! Welcome aboard
Going D1 in 3 different sports is crazy
If you watch closely, during that scramble against the 49er's, he launched that ball with BOTH feet off the ground.
Funny that teams decided to counter Mahomes by playing deep coverage every play and Mahomes just learned to become a lethal short-mid passer. Now you have to make your choice. Mahomes doesn’t care about the home run as much anymore.
Mahomes is Tom Brady with athleticism. Even so, it will be hard to replicate what Brady did.
good luck with the channel and nice analysis .. new sub
Thanks for being here!
dont forget half of brady's career there was not as much penalties for defense as there is now. Having a 200+ yard game back in the early 20's was considered great
That the the dumbest career comparison I ever heard.
I hate seeing him tear up the raiders. I respect the hell out of his play, but I’m bitter. Brady energy in mahomes.
