One can hardly find any atrocity against foreigners in Chinese classic literature though there may be some weird stories about them in order to charm readers.
There is no racial discrimination in China, and our media will not fabricate news to discredit other countries like the BBC。 This is why Chinese people are friendly to all foreigners
Its because for any new learner of a language; reading / understanding the written word has no variation. But some folks may find it difficult during listening because of variation in tonality.

The climate in Kunming, Dali, and Lijiang is very comfortable, but Lijiang has a slightly higher altitude, making Kunming and Dali both good choices
