V3Cars has always been my first choice to know about any car. I liked the way you have compared XL6, Ertiga and Carens but one has to take the waiting period also into consideration as currently even though we like Kia Carens we need to wait for 8months to a years time which I personally feel doesn't make any sense. I feel within that time you might get better car in the market and also we need to consider the interest amount that one will lose for waiting this much time. All in all my personal opinion is if you are getting it soon then this make sense otherwise it is going to be a bad deal. 🙂

Carens is better equipped but I would still prefer XL6 because of its exterior and captain seats. Moreover the price of carens will increase significantly in the near future. If not then serious questions will rise about its built since delivering this much features for a less price is near impossible without compromising
Exactly. Carens have 6 months waiting and price of that time will be applicable even if you book today. So there are high chances we have to pay 1-2 lakhs more.

I just finalized kia carens ..after testing both xl6 n carens...I booked prestige 1.5 petrol mt...but waiting was 1 n half yr...due risk of price hike...1.4 turbo was available withing month...I moved to it... Carens no doubt better interior,better space especially 3rd row, turbo power, 4 disc brakes, hill descent, front parking sensors, reverse camera in built, at coat 1 n half lac more than xl6 zeta.. Xl6 led headlights only for look...3rd row space small for even average ht, engine power feels less between 80 to 100 manual transmission with 6 ppl.... Both 3 star...carens still little better as 4 disc brakes, 6 air bags Conclusion....less running, so mileage not issue, premium interior n space ,good power almost like diesel,kia service center nearby.....resale not worried...go for carens turbo 1.4 petrol...less waiting...more enjoyable experience for 1.5 lac more than xl6 zeta..in festival season high chance of price hike Xl6 for milage, early delivery than carens 1.5 mt petrol..remote places, want to save 1.5 lac over carens turbo...ok with less performance.....3rd row space compromise ok...resale( carens might also give good)
your video is well described. regarding carens is made on seltos plateform so the safety is compromised. you have seen the accident of selto which spilt into 2. and other side you seen the accident of xl6 with 160 kms per hour and all the member was safe and minor damaged which can be repaired. now the XL6 quality is good. it is my view please

Waiting for the crash test of Carens! It is totally a new product from Kia so most of the people might consider XL6 due to the fact that it's a product of well known brand of India. Carens looks more superior from outside but still people may go for XL6 just because India is a mileage conscious nation.
XL6 is better because Maruti service network is far better and trusted-tested,apart this XL6 will give claimed mileage for sure. Thirdly Carens waiting is more and we are living in transition era of EV. waiting of 1 yr is not worthy in almost 3 to 4 yrs total scene will change. Buy today or delay for more is better.
Xl6 is better in terms body to weight ratio coz the engine in carens are stressed coz of the cars size and weight but xl6 is compact with good space so ist easy to drive and maintain vin the city
What I don’t like in Carens is that it is not offering automatic in lower trims.If you are considering automatic then XL6 is at a much lower price point though it is only 4 speed torque converter
Karen's because it has the most best space in the 3rd row even better than Xuv 300 and it is a proper 7 seater while in others we can sit only children in the last row...

The drive experience of Carens is far far better than XL6. It is more comfortable, stable, less noise and better shock absorbers. I have taken test ride if both of them for selecting anyone. However, what I personally miss are Cruse Control, Automatic gears and Captain seats.
How would the comparison stack up for XL6 Automatic! I am in the process of evaluation for a possible buy, any comments from V3 will be highly appreciated.

Please include two more sections in your comparisons, Electricals and Electronics. These sections can help people like us who go a little deeper into small details like the performance of headlights in normal/rainy/foggy environment. How does the horn sound? How the stereo performs? Does it offer backlit switches for all power windows? How much better is the tactile feel of switches? What's the response/lag in touchscreen stereos? These minute details are of very good significance to a small percentage of car buyers like us! 🙂

Carens is better equipped. Even if maruti's network is bigger but HYUNDAI-KIA staff service and behavior is best in india.
