Even though I liked Carens I booked XL6 because of the VFM offered. When facelift was announced the dealer offered me options whether to get the older one within fortnight or wait for facelift. Now when we compare VFM and the waiting period, XL6 is worth as the car is getting delivered in few days. If I had chosen Carens I would have had to wait for many months.
Same here i also canceled carens because in prestige plus diesel for 16.30 lakhs there were no fogg lamps and if I install after market then there will be no guarantee so i bokked xl6 zeta full features loaded

Completely wrong info in this video. 1. Kia carens has 16 inches spare wheel not 15 inches as said in the video. 2. Also 3rd row of xl6 is not very spacious as shown in the video. I have myself experienced sitting in xl6. When a average height 5'9 person sits in 2nd row with decent knee room, the 3rd row passanger can only be a child. Anyone with height above 5'5 will face difficulty. 3. The interior of xl6 is purely shit. Looks so very outdated. The AC vents in 2nd row look like AC vents of old cars. Interior wise xl6 is shitty. 4. There were many important things not mentioned like Kia carens has all disc brakes whereas xl6 doesn't have any disc brakes. 5. Suspension of kia carens is much better than xl6. Passangers get much better ride experience in carens. 6. This guy in the video says that in top models of carens there is no 1.5 petrol engine. Turbo petrol engines have poor mileage. Seltos on DCT has given as low as 6 KMPL when pushed hard and would never give more than 9 in city conditions. This is an important point missing in your review. Which can be a make it or a break it factor.

Maruti offers the best vrm in India hands down, and there has been a very very perceptible change in the fit and finish levels on all Maruti models. Plainly looking at features is no way to really know anything about the car, service availability, parts availability and running costs are what complete the cycle of ownership and that front MARUTI is the super boss in India 👍

How come there is no discussion on the Safety Rating (Global NCAP) of the Cars . KIA Seltos had scored 8.15 out of 17 points . Carens may perform no better. Even Creta from same family had 8.45 points whereas Urban Cruiser (a Maruti product ) had scored 13 points. Conveniently Skipped (BIAS) or lack of Professionalism.
Not everything is crash rating they have all the safety features included so they are better equipped as per the safety point of views stop viewing everything in terms of crash rating that a very one sighted point of view

Looking at the fire issues with Kia Cars in the US market since last few years, I don't think we should take risk of buying Kia Cars. It's my personal opinion, since I am also looking for a family car.
Kia carens has many standout features- 1. Air purifier behind the back of driver seat. Considering the pollution these days in cities, that is a must. 2. Roof mounted AC vents in 2nd and 3rd row. In many cars AC is near the knee area and the legs feel chilled whereas the overall cooling is affected. AC from roof provide best cooling to pasangers. 3. The music system of kia carens in this video is said to be average. But it has the best speakers and truly the sound quality is amazing. It has 8 bose speakers in the car. 4. Kia carens is very compact. The front bumper of the car is not very wide as well as not very risen. This makes driving comfortable as we have fair idea of the edges. 5. The 2nd row has a button which automatically folds the seat so that u don't have to fold the seats manually to go to 3rd row. This is an amazing feature as folding the 2nd row manually is very difficult. 6. The interior of kia carens is top notch. I won't say this but once u compare u will know yourself. Alcazar's interior looks good but build quality is very cheap and color theme is also not very promising. XUV 700 also has good interior. 7. Boot space and leg space in 3rd row. Leg space in 3rd row is best in its segment. Boot space is also on point. Carens is just a bit behind XUV700 and Safari in boot space and leg space of 3rd row. 8. Anti theft system and anti engine lock feature. The only car amongst all given in the video, carens provides best security features when it comes to theft protection. When a thief enters car with a duplicate key, the engine won't start. There is addition to this point about which u can find more on google. THE DISADVANTAGES OF CARENS- 1. 360 degree camera is not available. 2. Panaromic sunroof is not there. But the reason why panoramic sunroof is not there is because 2nd row has AC vents from the roof which is an important feature. 3. Engine performance. Engine is just perfect for this car because it is an MPV and not an SUV. Powerfull engines like in Safari and XUV700 have mileage issues if major driving is in city. 4. Tyre size is only 16inches. This is the only MAJOR drawback in this car.
@Harrierman XL6 looks premium?? Maybe your opinion but i guess you need to rethink about defination of premium. Even a kid can tell which car is more premium amongst the two. And btw i have a XL6 in my own house. And now recently we bought a kia carens luxury plus model. The difference is very high. Though the XL6 we have is not the new one but the engine of both XL6(older version) and XL6 2022 is same. And we are considering to sell our XL6 but the resale value is very less. Kia seltos and creta have much higher resale value now.
Sat in both , THERE IS NO COMPARISON AT ALL!!! XL6 feel and finish was many notch below than Carens ! Xl6 feels cheap inside out , no Premuim feeling ! Whereas Carens look n feel was way better ! Even the captain seats were shaking in XL6 , may be issue with the demo car ! But it was not confidence inspiring ! Edit : after crash test result : BOTH ARE TIN CANs 👎
Resale value & After sales service is undoubtedly better in XL6 Moreover Hyundai & Kia had been known to be overpriced brands though social status enhancing brands So it’s up to the budget and reliability which has been duly covered in this Video👍

Kia careens is nice and overall good but problems with not consider to people which are price increased and Kia cheat to costumers without not pickup the phone or any helper service low maintenance and not efficient than xl6 and had not tested Gcap and xl6 is good deacon to move on and value for money
To give my opinion my height is 179cm and my foot is not touching the first, second and third row of Karens comfortably. Hicross closed the booking chapter after 2 years. And Al Qasr, the third row is not very spacious because the second row seat cannot be adjusted. Then look at the xuv700, the look base is cool, the features are even better, but there is no space in the third row, my leg is tight on the seat in the second row, so I came and looked at the Carans, with everything, super look base, features, space, mileage, besides that, for the money of the first variant of the said other vehicles, I can get the full option of the Carans and it will be worth it. . And that's not all, road presents can't help saying it's another level ❤❤❤❤

Looking for 6/7 seater, base to premium logically, You either buy the Ertiga or the Carens. Don't know who buys the xl6, any car enthusiast would laugh when you equate 'premium' with Maruti. XL6 doesn't even make the discussion.

Does the dealers keep the cars to create hype in the market for that model?? and I have booked kia carens for last 40 days and they are not even upadated me my sequence number. so just nee to know is the hype is winning or actually tey are not able to make units as per requirements?
Booked Carens 1.4 DCT, I was not mentally ready to spend 18 lacs on Maruti with 103 bhp engine which Ertiga also uses😂😂. For 18 lacs, I got almost all the features in Prestige plus, more performance, more premium look, and peace of mind that Carens in the future will not get into Taxis or transport 😂😂

How come there is no discussion on the Safety Rating (Global NCAP) of the Cars .
KIA Seltos had scored 8.15 out of 17 points . Carens may perform no better.
Even Creta from same family had 8.45 points whereas Urban Cruiser (a Maruti product ) had scored 13 points.
Conveniently Skipped (BIAS) or lack of Professionalism.
Not everything is crash rating they have all the safety features included so they are better equipped as per the safety point of views stop viewing everything in terms of crash rating that a very one sighted point of view

Xuv300 chalane mein bht ascha hai but aab toh woh thoda outdated ho gaya hai since its 2019 model whixh hasn't got any upgrade aur boot bhi concern hai...so overall performance plus looks plus interiors kaunsa lena chahiye...?

Carens is a better package in the mid level variants, the top variants feel that they are priced a bit high.

Kia carens has many standout features- 1. Air purifier behind the back of driver seat. Considering the pollution these days in cities, that is a must.
2. Roof mounted AC vents in 2nd and 3rd row. In many cars AC is near the knee area and the legs feel chilled whereas the overall cooling is affected. AC from roof provide best cooling to pasangers.
3. The music system of kia carens in this video is said to be average. But it has the best speakers and truly the sound quality is amazing. It has 8 bose speakers in the car.
4. Kia carens is very compact. The front bumper of the car is not very wide as well as not very risen. This makes driving comfortable as we have fair idea of the edges.
5. The 2nd row has a button which automatically folds the seat so that u don't have to fold the seats manually to go to 3rd row. This is an amazing feature as folding the 2nd row manually is very difficult.
6. The interior of kia carens is top notch. I won't say this but once u compare u will know yourself. Alcazar's interior looks good but build quality is very cheap and color theme is also not very promising. XUV 700 also has good interior.
7. Boot space and leg space in 3rd row. Leg space in 3rd row is best in its segment. Boot space is also on point. Carens is just a bit behind XUV700 and Safari in boot space and leg space of 3rd row.
8. Anti theft system and anti engine lock feature. The only car amongst all given in the video, carens provides best security features when it comes to theft protection. When a thief enters car with a duplicate key, the engine won't start. There is addition to this point about which u can find more on google.
THE DISADVANTAGES OF CARENS-
1. 360 degree camera is not available.
2. Panaromic sunroof is not there. But the reason why panoramic sunroof is not there is because 2nd row has AC vents from the roof which is an important feature.
3. Engine performance. Engine is just perfect for this car because it is an MPV and not an SUV. Powerfull engines like in Safari and XUV700 have mileage issues if major driving is in city.
4. Tyre size is only 16inches. This is the only MAJOR drawback in this car.

@Harrierman XL6 looks premium?? Maybe your opinion but i guess you need to rethink about defination of premium. Even a kid can tell which car is more premium amongst the two. And btw i have a XL6 in my own house. And now recently we bought a kia carens luxury plus model. The difference is very high. Though the XL6 we have is not the new one but the engine of both XL6(older version) and XL6 2022 is same. And we are considering to sell our XL6 but the resale value is very less. Kia seltos and creta have much higher resale value now.

Kia careens is nice and overall good but problems with not consider to people which are price increased and Kia cheat to costumers without not pickup the phone or any helper service low maintenance and not efficient than xl6 and had not tested Gcap and xl6 is good deacon to move on and value for money

To give my opinion my height is 179cm and my foot is not touching the first, second and third row of Karens comfortably.
Hicross closed the booking chapter after 2 years. And Al Qasr, the third row is not very spacious because the second row seat cannot be adjusted. Then look at the xuv700, the look base is cool, the features are even better, but there is no space in the third row, my leg is tight on the seat in the second row, so I came and looked at the Carans, with everything, super look base, features, space, mileage, besides that, for the money of the first variant of the said other vehicles, I can get the full option of the Carans and it will be worth it.
. And that's not all, road presents can't help saying it's another level ❤❤❤❤
in short, Kia Carens is bigger, feels more premium than XL6 but costs a little more
You should have compared models from both at the same price point. It doesn't make sense to compare a 16L XL6 with a 22L Carens

XL6 is much better , it provides more spec than carens, both the car looks good, XL6/ ertiga perfomes better in Global NCAP than carens both the car got 3 Stars in both adult and child, but the difference is XL6, tested with 2 airbags , Carens tested with 4 airbags ,with 2 airbag XL6 perform great
Looking for 6/7 seater, base to premium logically, You either buy the Ertiga or the Carens. Don't know who buys the xl6, any car enthusiast would laugh when you equate 'premium' with Maruti. XL6 doesn't even make the discussion.

Booked Carens 1.4 DCT, I was not mentally ready to spend 18 lacs on Maruti with 103 bhp engine which Ertiga also uses😂😂. For 18 lacs, I got almost all the features in Prestige plus, more performance, more premium look, and peace of mind that Carens in the future will not get into Taxis or transport 😂😂
