    ----------------------
Welcome to the Bouldering Progression Series. These videos are designed to help guide you through your journey and development as a climber on the bouldering walls.
The series is split into several parts, with each part addressing a certain stage in your bouldering skill level. We’ll go over the requirements needed to competently climb a specific grade range.
This second video is for those who are comfortable with basic climbs and are ready to move on to V2s and 3s. One of the biggest differences between these vs V0s and 1s is the added level of variety and complexity. You’ll see this in our following topics:
    Hold Types and Usage
    Terrain
    Climbing Technique
    Let’s get started!

Omw back home right now from my climbing adventures with my son for his 21st bday. For our last day we decided to go back to the local climbing gym for one last session. Since I only started climbing 3 weeks or so ago, I was super happy to get my PR of 5.10c, but that was overshadowed by seeing this master climber walk around the gym! Didn't want to bother him since he was teaching, but during a break I confirmed that he is the man himself and he was super cool and gracious to take a selfie with me. Really made my day to be able to meet someone who has helped me advance so much over a short period of time!

As always, well explained and very useful information. For older and slightly heavier ;) climbers like myself these kind of technics and understanding of the mechanics of climbing have allowed me to climb at a decent level without the need for brute force climbing often seen in younger climbers, who gain even more when they incorporate such techniques to their own climbing.

this is pretty much where I am level wise- a lot more emphasis on the feet. Still learning the overhang techniques (twisting doesn't come naturally yet).
As well as smears, the rockover is a crucial skill for slabs at this stage. There's also a point towards the end of v2 where strength alone doesn't get you as far - read the route
