Do you think I should keep making these monthly seed videos? They are a bit of work and can get repetitive (and the big RUclipsrs can get them out much earlier than I can) but I know some people get value out of these, especially those who are new to gardening and the channel. Let me know what you think.
For those really new to gardening, you might be making preparations for the coming growing season. This time last year I published a list of garden equipment that I thought would be an essential starting point: ruclips.net/video/e5dHE9RL6Kk/видео.html (and I also gave you all the best Monty Don impression published anywhere!)

Absolutely. Even in the summer after first harvest, you could do a "what do do after the first harvest? do you have time to get something else in?, start seeds so they are ready to replace spent plants..." so many ways you can go. I just learned that many people have enough time to do early crops and then plant again! What a concept that seems so easy, but never thought about it. I'd love some ideas on if doing say peas, then do more as they get to the end of their cycle or something else?

It might have been windy, but the seed packets regretted nothing as they leapt for freedom. lol
Thanks for the reminder about peppers and tomatoes! I've almost got my setup complete. I don't know why I think I need all the lights and such for seedlings. I can sow now and get the light ready. Nothing like a time limit to light a fire under me to get on it! My season is a lot shorter. Last frost date is end of May, but I need to get moving. I'm going to start everyone inside and move some plants outside at the right time and compare if growing inside here is better or at least good enough so I just grow year round inside and leave outside for perennials like roses.

Honestly those seeds can germinate a lot faster than people give them credit for - my videos from last year have a load of leggy chilli pepper seedlings in them. I did put them next to a very hot heat source though...
It would be interesting if you could give them a massive head start indoors and then finish the plants off outdoors around or just after the solstice. I can't quite remember which lights you've got but they do get hungrier as they get older - a comparison between the two would be interesting. That being said I definitely got tomatoes from a plant grown against an east-facing window with the sun blocked by a wall to the south - it was quite leggy but still viable. Would be cool if you grew peppers indoors perennially under lights though!

Hi Ryan, thank you so much! I only started about a year ago and although I do have a lot of fun making these, it is a lot of work in so your comment means a lot. I did (somehow) win an award for this video ruclips.net/video/GhnfDGbirNQ/видео.html but the support in the comments is incredible.

Thanks Andrea! I did mean to do a segment in a video in April but time got away from me. This month isn't looking spectacular either... Right now I'm just putting last year's videos on the channel page.

Ah man, so many mishaps 😂. I think in a week or two I'll have three different veg growing in the tray... And that bag of beans is just held together by electrical tape now
