    This looks to be a fantastic product with a solid entry price. Now Ford needs to build the charging infrastructure to support trucks and trailers. The Market is dragging their feet.

  • @claybush9143
    @claybush9143 3 года назад +1

    This is all great and such but is it not a truck's main purpose to haul and pull things? What happens to that 300-mile range when you're pulling a 7500lb trailer? Am I going to have to stop every 50-100 miles and charge it?

    So this new electric F150 looks like a pretty cool truck. Lots of technology and lots of great engineering.
    That said, the problem I have with this is that while Ford has been investing in this electric truck, and obviously buying up tons of computer chips to build it, my truck is sitting on a lot in Kentucky waiting for Ford to put chips in it so they can ship to my dealer.
    In other words, an already sold truck sits and waits while big chip buying for a truck that isn’t available until 2022.
    That’s a real problem.

    • @fascinatedbyeverything
      @fascinatedbyeverything 3 года назад +2

      It’s likely not the same the chip: The chip shortage is mainly targeting the low end chips used in legacy vehicles; the EVs use more of the high tech chips that aren’t in short supply. CNBC has a video on RUclips about the chip shortage and cars and it explains it.

    Great… got rid of conveyors.. thanks for cutting out a ton of jobs for us in Michigan. Every time the big three do change overs, that helps out a lot of tradesmen. Can’t wait to to see you do it to the other plants. 🙄

    Ford= uh we can't get computer chips to ship your 2021 trucks...so how about a battery truck that will cost just as much & go as far as one tank of gas until tomorrow?

    Made in America actually encompasses North, Central, and South. Us "Americans" however don't understand that what we are saying is not accurate. We should be saying made in the USA if we want to feel proud.

    nice around town light duty vehicle but useless for all around traditional truck use. family summer vacations? no. road trips? no. trailer towing to a campground? no. great for picking up small light items around town and I'm sure local governments will buy them because they scream woke. they have a place but that place is not in my garage.
