Whisky: The grain is introduced to warmth and moisture. Starts to germinate and produce sugars. This process is halted by high temperature from burning wood or Peat. This is where the peat flavour comes from and was a choice made because of resource availability.
The yeast then eats the sugars, poops alcohol and now you have your base booze. Then it is aged in barrels and gains additional flavors.

It helps your brain create new pathways. IQ is very malleable, your brain continues to rewrite itself well into your 30s. So keep at it. 🫡

@@MrVontar well your brains grey matter production peaks around your early 30s. That’s why young people shouldn’t feel disappointed, unless you have a learning disability most people can learn to study more effectively and learn more effectively. It makes more sense as you age, our brains fully develop until mid 20s. For ADHD and autism it can be into their 30s. I don’t have any learning disabilities but I prioritize myself and my physical health to make sure I keep my brain healthy. Learning new languages and skills is the only natural way to keep dementia from affecting you early on. Also, drink water! 👍

We've sucked the magic out of all that is incredible. I call it the brain in a jar. And this man gets it. Your entire life, all its memories, all you've seen, all you've heard, where you've been, where you'll go, your thoughts lived and only lived under the hood. We've dumbed it down with overexplanation with how it transfers energy. Neurons, your serebelum, lobes, cortex; its shape. Now put it in a jar. Now think about that magic. We have no idea why the brain "is" doing all that it does, we've just put definitions on the aftermath of those processes. Explained away and dumbed down to an oversimplification, and the magic of how that brain in a jar: can't do a single thing that it can do, when in connection to the rest.
It's incredible. I like to think of wifi the same way 😂. Sure, network packets and data layers that come along and handshake; processed in bytes -> layered through binary. I get it. Still, we're missing the magic. We're transferring enormous amounts of data through thin air damnit. That's remarkable. You can just wave your hand and walk in front of it. Let alone online open-world video games like a gta. It's just there surrounding you. I don't need any more explanation. I get it. However, again, the magic is gone. And we tend to do this in so many other ways. And I study many sciences myself, and am far and wide a proponent of advanced science. However, there should be more emphasis on explaining that extra layer of what is so incredible about these processes, and stray away from defining them so hard, we become completely unenthralled.
Think about the guy who sequenced the genome and has allowed blood evidence and dna data into our lives. That is magic man, and we push the functional definitions so hard, that the youth no longer sees this, when scientists of the 20th century and before it, our parents and before them for centuries, knew of this magic firsthand. It's incredibly exciting to so many of them. I'm sure you can remember the moments of your old relative handled a touch screen. Or heard again with their cochlear implant.
Take a step back and think on things for how incredible they are at the first layer at the top. This man is taking that leap. It's not that we dig too deep, it's that we only dig, the magic completely lost in translation and dumbed down around the 98,000th atomic layer we've reached. Continue that, but for bom sakes, update the messenger because it's all so plain and boring to our future.

Yes there are multiple layers , ways on how to describe reality as defined by us. he like many others is breaking it down into simple language breaking away at the abstract conception, I believe breaking abstract ideas just like his theory into multiple less abstract parts bringing ideas back to first principles in a way, allowing us to ask more simple ideas to then again abstract further and further. An endless cycle of deconstruction and reconstruction. The universe works in intelligible ways just as we have intelligence so does the universe. As above so below you just have to find the connections between

Lee needs to find someone to communicate his research and ideas, Lex tried his best and asked some good questions but it was very hard to follow. This research could absolutely rock science and our world and he is sitting there talking about mass spec! (Yes that part was important)

I think Lex is one of the absolute best Podcaster out there, precisely because he takes what his guests are saying, and goes to great pains to put them in his own words. In this way the viewer has a better chance of grasping some difficult concepts.

So a Venn Diagram is a slice of time showing the relative positions of cones in time. Where circles overlap in one moment of time, there may be a slice of time in the past where they did not overlap.

I love how you drew him out and neutrally let him clarify his ideas. While watching his ideas made perfect sense to me.
Then I thought what if you had a sample of the blood in my heart and the acid in my stomach and you ran a mass apec on both.
From a mass spec perspective would stomach acid and blood be from the same species?
By how much would the assembly number of blood and stomach acid differ?

    • @gregmarsters2434
      @gregmarsters2434 11 месяцев назад

By my understanding acid as a single object possibly from geological origin or biological origin is still a single object. Blood will contain many replicated objects which scores very high on assembly. Let alone the DNA contained within the blood which would be astronomically large.

  • @Jacobk-g7r

Ima throw a theory out there and really think on it. All of reality has patterns right and those patterns are seen in many other things like layering over each other to see the matching pieces. We use these differences and similarities to navigate our reality and our minds have been grown from that for a long time and it’s grown complex for various reasons but at every level even the cells they form patterns and can be seen and understood like tracing the outlines. Predictions are the forward version of that and from what we’ve learned our mind can formulate a good prediction for most people but we all see it differently because we were raised different and told to value various things in all these ways, we all share the paths and that’s why we have artists and scientists. Humans have grown in number like the cells and we branch out into different organs and create new forms of reality. We are created by it and are still being created by it because we read each others words and embody teachings. The sun is our gas quite literally, it is our go juice. It hits things suspended in the medium at different densities and compositions because the sun sends energy to move things, every action has a reaction, the push and pull and then things are touching and some things move different when hit right by the energy just like that energy transformed through all our pieces such as eyes to brain to thought to action and that can be our thoughts to writing new laws or code for computers or anything. We are something that survived and grew and transformed over and over and over to keep surviving and to keep growing just like evolution and our connection to our environments and our diets and our gut biomes and everything. Tracing it back isn’t hard, we were a potential that grew and once we gain consciousness and understanding over our ability and what it means then we should stop squabbling over money and help each other so that we can grow in a better direction and not grow a hell in reality. The accumulations suspended in medium that gets moved by energy move around and enter new environments and adapt/evolve and move into a new location touched by a new form maybe torn apart and restructured and entangled or maybe pushed away and all those differences come together over and over and form similarities and the patterns emerge in the chaos and that is what we can see. We can see the patterns of reality and by understanding the patterns we can see through things like analogy or literally. It’s endless growth in all directions. Guidance comes from feedback.

He said pretty much a similar thing, in fewer words, when he was saying that the Earth is larger in 'assembly space', than some very large physical objects, because humans can conceive things that aren't real. Especially in the science fiction realm, where we imagine all manner of things, even though they aren't physically large. They are conceptually large.

The real problem in that equation is the use of Euler's Number. Euler's number assumes optimal growth. Evolution is based on random mutations and randomness is far, far, far from optimal for constructing anything meaningful in a constrained amount of time.
