Focus on real things (weather, food, sex, etc), don't use shorthand and expect them to fill in the blanks, and when your mind makes a huge leap, tell them you need a moment to explain the connection. It'll probably feel like you're Usain Bolt running through a pool of waist high water but sometimes we just have to suck it up and go slow.

    1. Request clarity.
    2. Don't take them too literally.
    3. Be patient with the direction of their cognition.
    4. If it doesn't matter, let it go.
    5. Reality is less relevant.

I hope typology becomes mainstream eventually. I used to be part of a volunteer group where most of the members were Ni-doms. I would often ask for concrete examples to what they were saying and hoping to achieve in the long run and they would eventually just start ignoring my questions, giving me death glares when I asked and in the end pressured me to leave because they assumed I was playing dumb and trying to insult them and ruin the movement. I just found the Ni hard to grasp and they found the sensory hard to explain. So frustrating, definitely like two different languages, cannot wait for typology to be widespread and taken seriously and not as just a fun online quiz

As an INTJ I see myself so much in this description. Someone asks for an explanation and I launch into a long dialogue leaving them more confused than when they started, lol. Usually at least. That or I ask them to be more specific so I can narrow down my explanation without feeling the need to work through the vagueness first. :p

Oh my god, the being taken literally thing. XD I know everyone thinks they have Ni, so I'm skeptical if I actually do, but I do kind of relate to a lot of this. lol
Like my friend will misunderstand what I mean all the time, just like the pancake analogy. And it'll be very clear I mean an analogy. Like I'll say, "Ok, so this game is a resource management game. You get energy every couple of hours, so you have to make it last. It's kind of like a paycheck, right?"
And she'll be like, "... But I get paid every two weeks, not two hours."
.... XD I think my most common phrases to her are "That's not the point," and "You get what I mean?"
To her credit, she kicks my ass on designing stuff / matching colors, so I guess it evens out. lol

Can you please explain what you mean by the difference between a literal pancake and the idea of a pancake part?
Was some part of the idea of a pancake relevant in the analogy you made? So, how are we knuckle dragging sensors supposed to know what aspect of the idea you chose to extrapolate upon?
If intuition fills in the blanks, then intuitions of different types will fill in the blanks in different ways. The S types are just more uncomfortable with it. Throw us a bone... shaped pancake near the event horizon of a singularity.

2 days ago, I (INTJ) sent a long message to my mother, to thanks her for the package she sent me, I think I wrote too much details, abstract and meanings things for her. Even if I took time to choose the goods words and to be clear.
She (ESFJ) answered me : ??????
I completely lost her XD. I could just says "thank", but It is not me at all. (Sorry to be myself and authentic, sorry to be weird)
I think with ESFJ (Ni Polar), we have to avoid, abstract, meaning, details, philosophy, psychology.
Ni Dominant : "We understand you, but you maybe can't understand us" Sad but true.

As an INTP I find Ne doms crazier in terms of ideas cause we INxPs prefer to let our Ti or Fi judge something first and then do Ne things, so it’s more of a cautious process for us, making sure that our Ne fits with our Judging function
For ENxPs, the Ne comes first and then the judging functions comes next, they tend to say Ne things first and then do the judging
So yeah, crazier conversations with Ne doms
