When I first read the tittle I read "RIP Germany" and I was like "WTF???" Lol!!! Nice shifter! I like that you like testing new products. It keeps the project alive, even if you're replacing something that you've replaced many times, and it's cool to have real insight on them too.
Actually IRP is originally from Lithuania, not from Germany, but this doesn't change the idea, that shifter is awesome. They also have a lot more racing parts for different applications.
nice i might have to get one for my del sol. Are you sure its meant for reverse lockout and not for 5th gear lockout? because it makes sense to lock out 5th for drag racing.
Yo currently building a B18 and wondering on ur ITBs, is it smog/carb legal or will i have to swap it out come smog time? big fan man using ur build for inspiration for my 99 ek hatch
Cool man. It is nice, I like the firmness and it clicks into gear. The height I think is perfect, too high and it feels like it should be a drift e-brake. Oh yeah a bit pricy but that is solid and not mass produced. I love seeing the ek hatch up on all fours it just screams performance!
Bro that shifter is serious💪🏼👌🏼🔥🔥🔥makes me definitely wanna keep this Na b20b v 85mm 13.5 build and use this shifter set up in my new ef build I think I might just will cause I have a k swap car already and I think it will the b series swap will be a better swap for the ef just like how you feel about your Ek with a k swap is how I'm feeling about the ef it's a mint 73k original mile 1990 civic si hatch I'm currently the 3rd owner
That's shifter design is def common in the BMW word. The reverse lockout makes alot of sense on a BMW or even 350/70 trans. I pretty sure the b series already has a mechanical reverse lockout in it already iirc
Have you had any problem with rattling and noises coming for it. I was looking around and found couple videos of brz have them problems. I know it's not a Honda but wondering if you had the same problem
Hey Tommy I went on the website and I think you put the mounting bracket on the wrong side of the shift linkage hole. This may be why the reverse does not lock out. It looks like the bracket should be mounted towards the back seat. @LATOMMYLA Are you using solid motor mounts? Without the stabilizer bar, I wonder if engine movement will pull the shifter out of gear?

You could make a leather boot and Velcro/fasten it to your console.

hey tommy maybe if you put in the left bolt and adjust it till it touches that pin it might work it'll lock out 5th and reverse

yeah and I drive this car and go into 5th alot lolol
I would use that lock out for 1,2. That would save you from money shifts.
You can do that too haha, decide between 5th and reverse or 1st and 2nd hahaa

Either way works when mounting the shifter, and lockout will not work in general
I think your shifter is on backwards, that’s why the lock out don’t work! If your able to lock out 5th you should be able to do reverse

This shifter is not made for A honda at all its A BMW shifter that happens to fit in A honda.
That thing is junk! Used a few of them on BMW race cars and they just don’t work. And the “Honda” shifter is just a early 90s BMW shifter.
Ive noticed when looking at the BMW shifter, I guess they tried it on a Honda and it worked haha
