I appreciate the video man, so much insight to little maintenance work I can do, I really like how you barely put any new parts in and cleaned the motor, making it look ten times better 🤟🏾
Your videos are stoking me, reminds me of watching skating videos and getting amped up to skate. So because of watching your new project I put Type R cams in my LS VTEC build and put a new tune on it. Thanks for the motivation bro
Hey Jon, just don't forget to put clamps on the intake/throttle body coupler. And @ 12:50 ish, this is fantastic advice Jon. It would for sure be helpful to have someone hold it for you while you're in driving position so you can get the absolute best/ most comfortable position possible. I really wish they had something like this for the 8th gen, I really hate how far forward the shifter is, probably why so many people blow them up mis shifting... She's real close to track prepped. Have you decided on which brakes you're going to go with? Just good pads & rotors to start or something with an upgraded rotor/caliper w/ stainless lines? I just got a pair of Acura RL 4 piston calipers for my 8th SI, the FB kit allows for use of 12.8" rotors.
Great video! Just a suggestion, if you have a rivet nut kit, maybe use that if you do a similar install to eliminate the nut and headache installing it solo?
You guys in the US are so lucky being able to run to a parts shop to get replacements parts. Being in the UK sucks, pretty much no one local stocks parts such as the clutch master & slave cylinders. Even seals/gaskets are a nuisance to get. Only way is online then they charge way too much.
Nice work brother, was curious why you didn't swap the whole oil pump instead of messing w the seal, man that shifter and mounts and rad are super nice especially for the price 👍
I didn't want to spend the extra $250 for a pump, also save me the time. But last weekend my friend threw a rod so he has me wanting to change them on both track cars. Lol
@@GarageBuiltHondas so you run that on your track cars to a few people told me since alot of b series engines have high miles that it's better to run 10w30 that's what I been running but I feel like it makes my car smoke a little I'm always going back & forth between 5w or 10w but I think I'm going to switch to 5w & see how it is the synchromesh is definitely the go to I hear really good things about it people said they had that 3rd gear grind & it made it go away
Did you have any problem with the shifter popping out of gear with the new mounts you have I’m just trying to figure out how solid of motor mounts I need. To install the shifter Thank you.
Hey Bro don't no if you remember me ?? I'm sure you deal with alot of people ? I bought a Really nice Steering Wheel from you anyway I was wondering if you'd sell me that old hondata you said was ?? Out dated or something ?? You said they quit making it ?? Or if you had or possibly new what I needed ?? I have an 0BD0 in my 1991 tahitian CRX si.. at the moment it has the D16A6 But I Bought a 2000 Integra gsr with a B18C1 and plan on installing it in the crx when I have everything I need to get it done correctly ??? SO IF what you have will work I was hoping U'd sell it to me ?? Or if you have or no what I need ? Help or put me in the right direction ??? Thank You.. Daniel Bock...
Completely off topic but I have a question since i trust your judgment but my 2000 Honda civic blew its head gasket and i got the head resurfaced and replaced the head gasket while applying copper gasket maker to the new head gasket because the machinist said the head has been mild before he couldn’t go further to get the pitting out but i shouldn’t have an issue with it but long story short it’s still blowing so I’m wandering what my options are and what rise could be the problem🫠

Can't wait to hear it driving and for the VTEC crossover with that intake.

Betcha your hot rod is a blast to drive 👍🤙🚀🚀
Everything looks really sharp. Ill get out later into the garage and make some progress on the ef sedan.
The engine bay looks way better compared to how you bought it 🔥🔥
Damn that Shifter is rad looking but that engine Bay looks great👍
Enjoying the progress build!
nice upgrades on the B
really enjoyed your EG project, can't wait for more
Super nice makeover 😮 I love the content on this channel man it’s very entertaining and satisfying
Really nice work mate. Inspiring.
Thank you! Cheers!

Actually zero brake upgrades at first. Want to do my best of stock brakes and then go from there.
Nice work and great video. I hope you put the strut bar back on. You think you'd want that on if you're going to take it to the track.
I’m enjoying these builds maaan!! Can’t wait to see the finale step!💪🏼💪🏼🙏🏻
Enjoying this build dude

Good suggestion, and one I had thought about. But I just felt uneasy about the strength of the rivnuts.
@@GarageBuiltHondas ahh understandable
Amazing job as always!

That's a nightmare, we truly do have it made here in the states 🙏
@@tommoon2700 Sure do, loads things i see you guys are able to run to a store and buy, fuel fittings etc. Especially drive shafts, no chance here
Good stuff man

That shifter makes it feel amazing! Just makes it feel more solid. What dose that spring do that you swapped out?

STP Syn 5w-30 and Pennzoil Synchromesh.

Yes. I prefer 5w-30. The Synchromesh seems to work well. I've liked it so far.
Oh my b16, wish I had the money for one, lol but have to know what rims are those, 5 spoke are my favorite rims

No issue at all.
@@GarageBuiltHondas do you know what dura rating the ones you got are
No idea. It doesn't specify. If you're using both JSR products you shouldn't have an issue. I raced mine at 7 events in 2023. Zero issues.

I'm not selling any ECUs right now. But yes, you'll need an obd1 ECU setup to run your engine correctly.
wheres that gauge cluster from? it'd ease me to see my rpms lol
Any ex or si model. They swap right in.
Have you ever have any problem cleaning the engine ?
I haven't.
I have a ob1 complete b16a motor swap with matching b16a trans intermediate shaft ,alt starter. Subharness. FOR Sale
Location?
I wouldve just took the motor out wash the engine bay
No way I'm doing that. Lol. That's like multiplying your work load by 10!
