We were on a cruise were the entire family was escorted off the ship due to the Sons misbehavior and the fathers lack of parenting. The teen released a life raft on deck and when the sad person that identified as the father was notified of the incident he just threw a black credit card on the table and said i see no problem just take the damages out on the card. and refused to show any concerns for the kids misbehavior or the fact that tampering with a life saving device on a vessel is a federal offence. The captain of the vesel asked them to leave his ship as him and his family posed a threat to safety on board.
I love when he said, “ Are you going to kick me off,” and the crew just smiled at him. Also the guest saying goodbye happily from the ship. That was beautiful and should happen more often 😊

Well, I am not so sure about that. Depends on the level of wealth. My parents were very wealthy but did not have a yacht. They had a sailboat for local runs down to Cuba prior to the revolution. Now, I'm wealthy, well within the top 1% and I don't have a yacht. Have yet to cruise but would probably go on a cruise ship with a premium class cabin and premium areas for premium passengers. There is a difference between multi millionaire and billionaires. Owning a boat of any size is a total waste of money.

There are parts of cruise ships that are as big as an apartment in Manhattan and have access to private restaurants and amenities plus a separate entrance for on and off the ship. I know because my husband and I like to take advantage of MSC Yacht Club Owners Suites every other year. It’s a completely different experience on the same ship. 😊

My dad was briefly a cruise ship captain. The captain gets a list of all notable passengers including undesirables. It's at his discretion if he wants to have them thrown off before leaving port. He can do this at his own judgement and doesn't need a reason. I can assure you they all made that list.

It wouldn't include passenger history (eg ex convicts). The list also has a list of VIP is on board. Anyone of note. Basically the captain needs to be aware of everything that can happen on a ship and keep everyone safe and also anything that could delay the ship. When he was captain a non-moving ship, just by existing, cost the company 100-300K per day (excluding everything that happens on board).

We were on that cruise from November 4 through the 8 His buddy was the one locked in the cabin since monday night I was their neighbor on the allure they wouldn’t stop slamming the door when they got kicked off in nassau We had security outside our door for three days I felt bad for the security officer, having a sit in a hallway the whole time
