Guys you have to watch the Warbringer's shorts before you get deeper in. It will clear a lot of this up.
And Sylvannas is NOT a Blood Elf. She is an Undead Banshee who used to be a High Elf.
She was killed by Arthas the previous Lich King you saw in the Wrath of the Lich King cinematic.
Since SOMEONE cheated, I let you know that the Lich King she later fights is Bolvar a Palidan who almost died in his fight with the Lich King. He took up the Mantle to keep the Scourge or Undead Hoards from going all Dawn of the Dead on everyone.

Just to try and clarify a bit about night / high / blood elves and Sylvanas:
First there were the Elves (you sorta could call them the Night Elves as the Night Elves are the ones who carried on unaltered, physicaaly, and mostly (but not ocmpletely) culturally). But the current Night Elves are only a part (albeit the largest) of the original Elves.
So, one part of the original Elves was the common people, now Night Elves.
The aristocracy of the original Elves were called the Highbourne.
Azshara was a Highbourne who ruled all Elves (Highbourne and Commoners).
I do believe the Stormrage brothers were born Commoners (even as recently shown, the celebration of their birth is done in humble surroundings, not the majestic Elven buildings we have grown to se erected "in harmony with nature"). Malfurion Stormrage would come to be "the greatest Druid that ever lived"; but druids per se were not political leaders, sp. in the old Elven society, more like wise men. Illidan Stormrage himself would come to *earn* his entry into the Highbourne.
Azshara was power hungry, and fscinated with the power of Arcane Magic. By extension, all or most of the Highbourne followed in her lead. Their wreckless abuse of the Arcane draw the attention of The Burning Legion (demons). They make a pact with Azshara to try and invade Azeroth. The Stormrage brothers, each in their own way, together with Tyrande Whisperwind, lead the Elven opposition to the Burning Legion, which culminates with the Sundering of The Well of Eternity.
With the Sundering of the Well, a great mass of land is sundered into the seas as well, breaking the once single super-continent into several smaller ones (Kalimdor, Eastern Kingdoms, Northrend, etc). Upon the sundering, Azshara and several of her Highbourne are dragged down under the waves. She makes a new pact, with a new powerhouse, an Old God, who turns them all into beings that can breathe under water: the Naga.
The Highbourne that escaped Azshara's fate are expelled from Kalimdor by the commoners of the Elves, now called Night Elves, lead by Malfurion and Tyrande. The Highbourne rename themselves High Elves and found a new home in the Eastern Kingdoms.
A bit of a rewind now: There were three special kinds of soldiers in the Elven society: The Sentinels, general purpose professional soldiers; The Wardens, special threats capture and surveilance (somehwat akin to Stormwind's SI:7, I think); and the Rangers, special offensive operations (like Stormwind's 7th Legion). The former two remained with the Night Elves, whereas the later went with the High Elves.
Sylvanas Windrunner was the (a?) Captain of the High Elves' Rangers.
Later on, the Lich King's Scourge attacks the High Elves in the Eastern Kngdoms and kill most of these elves, Sylvanas included. The surviving High Elves rename themselves Blood Elves, in honor of the blood shed suffered.
Sylvanas Windrunner is raised as a special kind of undead (as far as I know, the only of her kind in WoW lore): a banshee.
Sylvanas manages to escape the mind control of the Lich King and helps other undead do the same. They call themselves The Forsaken and Sylvanas their Banshee Queen.

Someone1976 Weren’t the High Elves the unaltered ones? I’m pretty sure The Blood Elves look like the “original elves” the most, because they are literally high elves who were massacred and then made a promise to take revenge (on scourge and Alliance), after that they practiced arcane magic. The night elves split from the high elves a long time ago and followed the moong goddess and lived in seclusion. They changed appearance and became druids. So one addicted to arcane the other to nature 😂 the remaining high elves however stayed themselves and didn’t join any of those two but did stay in the alliance unlike the blood elves.

    • @jeanackle
      @jeanackle 4 года назад

@@stanleyho8009 Not as I recall it (reading and/or watching lore videos), no.
What I am sure of was that hte High Elves (previously Highbourne) were already dwelling heavily on Arcane magic - sprouting mainly from the Well of Eternity. The magic of the Well also fed nature around it, hence Nature magic was a sort of Nature-filtered Arcane (I think).
I am also sure the High Elves started feeling withdrawal symptoms upon the loss of the Weel of Eternity as that was their source of Arcane magic (they were already addicted to it before, but felt fine for as long as they could feed on the Well).
The Night Elves kept their original form due to the world trees Nordrasil and Teldrasil having been grown from drops of water of the Well. But the High Elves, being separated from this source of power became weaker.
Comparing Azshara before she became Naga to Sylvanas before she became Banshee (on their respective cinematics), you can also see the likeness of Azshara to the Night Elves (most notably through her purplish skin color) and Sylvanas' likeness to the High Elves.
The High Elves would then build their Sunwell (as Elune' the Moon Goddess remained connected to the Night Elves), thus quenching their thirst for Magic.
Also, Druidism did not start only at the War of the Ancients at some people seem to think. There were druids at the War of the Sands, which predates the former.

Someone1976 Sylvanas did die as a High Elf so of course she would like them except she ‘hates’ her sister lol and the alliance so all the high elves who are in the alliance. However the blood elves (also high elves) joined the horde because the alliance tried to execute them after they sought help with the alliance after most of the high elves were murdered. From what I recall, the (high) elves are the original elves, the ones of royal lineage went to the Well of eternity, the night elves left them and as time passed changed their appearance because they mostly lived in the night and drew power from the moon (hence night elves). They practiced Druidism which led to them looking more like nature. The royal lineage was addicted already to the arcane yes, but both Blood Elves and Night Elves are different from the original elves. Blood elves look the same but they are addicted to arcane magic, Night Elves to the moon and High Elves like Valeria are the original (who use bow and arrow/daggers) what Sylvanas was before she died.

    • @jeanackle
      @jeanackle 4 года назад

@@stanleyho8009 "All the high elves who are in the alliance"... are very few. The Humans were the first allies of the High Elves, in Kalimdor, against the Trolls, yes. But then there was the Alliance abandoning and even betraying them to the Scourge - although if I remember correctly, the active betrayal came form 1 (ONE) Human General who was a racist (I forgot his name), yes. He happened to be placed as the liaison between Humans and High Elves, and he was dfinitely as bad a pick for the job as possible, but, as far as I remember, that was not intended by the Human kings (the king of Lordaeron?).
Anyway, that was then. And even then (or at least closer to then than to now), there was already a portion of High Elves gone to Outland (a portion loyal to Illidan, another, the Scryers, to A'dal - the former Alliance/Horde hostile and the second neutral).
The vast majority of High Elves who remained in Azeroth either died to the Scourge or renamed themselves Blood Elves in honor of those fallen.
The very few Alliance-firendly High Elves are the ones of the Silver Covenant, in Dalaran, lead by Vareesa Windrunner, one of Sylvanas' sisters, yes. But they are a diminute number compared to the Blood Elves.
More recently, the other sister to Sylvanas Windrunner, Aleria, came back from Argus, leading her Void Elves (who, I'm pretty sure, are no longer High Elves, but a new race). These did (re)jon the Alliance (as they left Azeroth before the alliance wth the Humans got broken), but their bodies have been changed.
This was what I recalled. Now, looking at Wowpedia, for High Elves ( wow.gamepedia.com/High_elf ), the very first paragraph reads:
"The high elves, or quel'dorei ("children of noble birth" in Darnassian and Thalassian[4]), are a race descended from the night elf Highborne who left Kalimdor and settled in the Eastern Kingdoms, founding Quel'Thalas."
Please notice "a race descended from the NIGHT ELF Highborne WHO LEFT Kalimdor". There you go:
      1. The original Elves were The Night Elves. They had Nature magic (druids), Holy magic (priestesses of Elune) and Arcane magic (Highborne).
      2. It was the High Elves who left Kalimdor, their home place, NOT the Night Elves.
I only read the rest of the introduction, which only confirms what I had said, or at least doesn't contradict it. There is added / more precise info in there though. I'm sure you'll find answers to most of your doubts in that page (in the intro and in the remainder of the page).

I loved it, but I know many people hated it. But when the High Elves were massacred and the alliance didn’t help (so now known as blood elves after massacre) I felt like alliance deserved some genocide like that for sure for not helping when blood elves asked for their help. So this is justice lol or injustice for all the elves because the alliance seems to let all elves die lol.

There is also a comic page with him all grown up many decades in the future if you want to see him, though we dont know what they are up to. Probably taking on the Void Lords.

When you see Saurfang in Stormwind prison in this cinematic, he was beaten by the Alliance and jailed during the battle of Lordaeron. You can't understand all the story if you don't play the game because some lore and shortcuts cinematics are in game ;) . The "take my life" reference in the words of Anduin (the human king) is in the battle of Lordaeron too. So the fact in this cinematic is that at this moment the Horde is splitted between members like Saurfang who wants to lead the Horde with honor like they did since the birth of the new Horde , and the loyalists to Sylvanas the Warchief who don't care about honor and wants victory without morality like the old Horde, killing innocents and destroying everything.

Time to bring up this legendary Reddit post of how King Anduin employed realpolitik and toppled the Horde with manipulation and a SI:7 backed coup.
    www.reddit.com/r/warcraftlore/comments/i0ag4v/did_bfa_ironically_end_up_more_realistic_than_if/
"The result is that while Varian Wrynn had to bash down the gates of Orgrimmar, the Horde welcomes Anduin in. All by using soft power, Anduin gets the Horde to install leadership favorable to the Alliance, run out of town those who are anti-Alliance, and permanently demilitarize (no more "Warchief"). He installs Calia Menethil to "advise" (oversee) the Forsaken, and a rebuilt Stromgarde promises to replace the Forsaken as the chief power in Lordaeron. Under the illusion of an equal-terms ceasefire, all while seeming nice and gracious, he has relegated the Horde to an inferior global power doomed to lose out economically to the Alliance, exactly as Sylvanas feared and foresaw in "A Good War"."

Not entirely the reason why Varok spared Anduin. In Wrath of the Lich King, Varok's son was killed during the assault on the wrathgate and was raised as a death knight and players had to kill him. When Varok approaches his son he was stopped by Muradin and told to turn away. (Horde-Alliance Tension) Varok was planning to fight to get through and retrieve his son until Varian Anduin's father told Muradin to let a grieving father pass. This is why he just pushed Anduin during the Siege of Lordaeron. Gratitude and respect.

They are getting head of themselves. They need to see when the Troll leader died and the quest dialog of him trying to find out why he named Sylvanas as Horde Chief. Someone should get the a chronological list of all cinematics and relevant in game dialog.

You should definitely watch diablo 4 trailer. There is so many reactions on ur channel on things which is aimed at a narrow audience ( like a mini movie about overwatch character. I played it myself and liked the game quite alot, but i don't really give a shit about whatever story these characters have - it's boring ). And i'm completely agree that content creators should do things THEY're interested in at first, not the things ppl around them would like to see. But there are things that most of the ppl would watch with a joy, same as WoW cinematics, cause it's really good and worth watching even if u're not really into it. And diablo 4 trailer - one of these things, i'd say, it's an art. Same as watching short movie. Try it!

1:35 If you want people to take your channel seriously you shouldn’t openly mock the important moments of the cinematics you watch. You should also have a consultant that at least plays the game and can explain the basics.
