- Excerpts from the opening number of the 2010 Tony Awards. The entire opening number exceeds youtube's 10-minute length restriction, so I had no choice but to cut it. Sorry Memphis and Fela!
1) Promises, Promises: Kristin Chenoweth sings I Say A Little Prayer with Sean Hayes on piano.
2) Come Fly Away dance number.
3) Sherie Rene Scott and her backup singers perform Up the Ladder to the Roof from Everyday Rapture.
4) La Cage Aux Folles: The Cagelles perform We Are What We Are.
5) John Gallagher Jr. and the American Idiot cast performs Boulevard of Broken Dreams.
6) Green Day performs Holiday and Know Your Enemy. Развлечения
haha greenday performing in front of a black tie crowd..never thought i'd see the day but i love it!! thanks for posting this :) although i do wish come fly away won best choreo...
i love kristins dress
and Green day! ;]
I think I'd look like a freak if I ever met Cheno (or Idina) because I'd break down in tears.
awesomeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!! LOVE IT!!
Does anyone know whether Come Fly Away has anything in it other than that one dance? Every single thing I've seen from that show is that one number.
who else thinks that last years opening is much better than this years?
Tony Awards = Musical Theatre. Greenday + Tony Awards = .......mmmummmhh not quite sure!!!
tony awards becam a concert cool!!!!!
American Idiot
I like how they have all the boring people sit up front!
@Lanes24 no it's john gallagher jr
Anyone know, please, what the name of the song Green Day does, the first song? Looking to purchase it, but a bit tough without a name! Thanks in advance!!
The first guy out during American Idiot.. is that Theo Stockman??
@scorpioninpink eveyday rapture was nominated...(best actress in a musical.)
and i think promises, promises was nominated. (best musical?)
And **A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC** was one of the best shows I have ever seen on Broadway, not at all crappy. Try listening to the soundtrack once in a while.
@vampirelove75 i was just about to comment and say the same exact thing! i would killll for those legs
Well 'Memphis' part wasn't even really a "performance", just Chad Kimball talking. So that's not missed. And I think something went wrong with the Fela! performance. It was not very good and that screeching at the end was horrid. This is much better without those two
yeah the Fela performance was pretty embarrassing, people didn't even clap.
ok let me get this straight.... everyday rapture didn't even nominated but that million dollar quartet is nominated!? YOU GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! AND PROMISES, PROMISES IS NOT EVEN NOMINATED!!! BUT THAT CRAPPY A LITTLE NIGHT WITH MUSIC DID!!! THIS SHOW GONE FROM BAD TO WORST!!!
Hate greenday.. What're they doing at the tony awards.....
Come Fly Away is not that great... memphis has a far superior choreography...
