Great rendition of this song. Different than the norm....which is started slowly than turns into a belt fest. The way Mr Hodge does it it much more introspective and sincere...sweet even. What caught my eye were the Cagelles. The way they were dressed and their physiques, they were truly androgynous. Great costumer All around, am impressed, although I loved the original with George Hearn and the way he sang out "I am what I am"! So powerful for that time, only 25 years ago. Still powerful.
Douglas Hodge serenading Matthew Morrison from "Glee"... genius!
For this performance, I was waiting for Hodge to get to Nathan Lane because Lane starred in the remake, "The Birdcage."
The best number from the 2010 Tonys, by faaaaar.
i no bored for waching this video many times
I can't believe Robin De Jesus didn't win the featured actor tony. He was amazing! So was Douglas Hodge, of course...
I love this!
Thank you so much for this. :D I have been searching for it all day today. You're awesome.
Matthew Morrison is too adorable... I think Douglas Hodge still wins, though.
