We are basketball nation and one more thing we are the most successful water polo country with Hungary and neither Serbia or Hungary have sea that is funny in last decade Serbia dominated in waterpolo, also we have Novak Djokovic best tennis player in the world, and at the end we are small country but big in heart and proud people but i think we welcome every one who came and visit us. As a Fenerbahçe Fan Serbian fans best fans for euroleauge.Serbia is one of biggest basketball Ecols also Greece Lithuania as well no doubt. Turkey is investing money for basketball last decade ı thınk we re really succesfull. We have 2 e.l championship and we re always on top teams.I hope its gonna be better

The main point that most people do not understand with loud fans even before starting the game is... At the beginning of the European games, there is Europe League Anthem and the fans are so loud that overtake the sound of that anthem even the referees cannot know when is over so they can continue with the process. Very often referees need to turn and look at the officials at the desk to signal them that the anthem is over.
That is fans' rebellion against EU, politicians, officials, European League, etc.
It is very important not to allow any kind of corporate, political, or any other kind of promotion before starting the game.
The official commentators were mentioning this in Serbian but of course, the reaction guy doesn't understand Serbian.
These fans give deeper messages rather than just to support their own team or scare the opponents' team.

I live in small town 30000 and i have everything what modern life needs, 4g everywhere, kindergarten, elementary shools, high school on 500m, medical institution 500m, river danube 800m and so on 😉, life is nice if you now how to live.
The atmosphere is not even close now to what it used to be, especially on Red Stars games. Partizan kept a little bit of it, but compared to period 2005-2015 this is nothing. And it will never be the same. When government needs to control even the fans and groups its unlucky.

Aside of all the technical explanations as to why the fans are so loud during or even before the anthem I will freely state here that people of Southern Europe are by far more emotional be that love or hate !! The more south you go the more emotions also way less materialistic then western nations and much more passionate about all aspects of life from family to sport !! I live in Canada and same goes for the American continent, the more North you go the colder the people the less passion and vice versa, the more south you go the more passionate the people get about everything !! Serbia is for sure one of the great sport nations and if compared in size it may very well be No.1 from Soccer, Basketball, Tennis, Waterpolo, Volleyball, Handball etc !!! The history of Serbia is also one of the reasons for this passion !!

there are much better shots than the ones you chose. On both sides. But there is no video that can conjure up even a tenth of the atmosphere. You just have to feel it live. Once you feel it then it pulls you to go to games all the time. Pretty contagious.

I have not been on any game for years almost decades and I still know words to exact... yes I am from Serbia and this is usual.....
The fact that these fan base have burned down half of the stadium and kept chanting and rooting for their teams is insane wish the state's had this type of passion.
I really hope baskwtball grows in Europe and worldwide, because basketball deserves to have more top quality basketball leagues than the NBA which becomes more of an entertainment paradise for too star players to get whatever they want.
Football will always be king in Europe/worldwide and I always want that for the world, but as a basketball fan, I want basketball to be there with football too.
You already see some countries with passion for the game and it would be so great if more of the bigger and developed countries in Europe like France, Germany, Italy, and even England can invest a bit more in the sport there.
Euroleague and it’s other leagues might not ever match the NBA, but I really believe the continent can produce talent that can compete with NBA teams and be a sport the masses throughout Europe watch with football.

Regarding basketball as a game. redStar fans are laud but they do not understand a game. They have football style. It is inappropriate for rythm of a basketball. Partisan fans have true understanding of a game and unique (not just loud) way to support a moment, point, defense etc. It is unique and non posible to copy.
