- This castle for sale in France is located in the Haut-Anjou region of France. It is just to the northwest of Angers and a little more than an hour from Paris.
This chateau is listed by Cabinet Le Nail and the reference # for more information on their website is: 49220
This Chateau was beautifully restored. I have been following this Chateau for years as it is so beautiful. It was up for sale for a very long time at three million euros and never sold. It went at auction for I believe 1.5 million euros. Very beautiful Chateau..
Do you have any clues about why no one has snatched it up yet?? You're right. It really is beautiful!
@@LetsBuyAChateau I want as far as speaking with the realtor about possible putting in a bit at action. They did not mention why it had not sold and I failed to ask. I have been in the hospitality industry all my life and would have love to have purchased this Chateau for events as wedding and other functions. I still love this Chateau, it has been beautifully restored.
@@BaruBear77 That's very interesting!! You'd be amazing at carrying out a chateau business project!
I’m hooked let’s go get a chateau!!
Yeah!! :)
fantastic
For the same price you could not even buy a 3 bedrooms and no garden flat in central London or New York or Hollywood there are more than 45 000 castles in France so do not bother go to France
I couldn't agree with you more! It's a pretty special place with amazing architecture.
Lol😂 💯
Looks like cove molding! Gorgeous home! This would be perfect for your family!
Isn't that molding massive? I've honestly never seen anything like it! It's an absolutely lovely place.
That home is stunning. I'm a sucker for fireplaces so the more the better.
Yaaassssss! I'm with you!
Beautiful, love your content and the fact that you also have an eye for tasteful French architecture. Whenever I'm ready to buy a Chateau, I'll definitely get in touch. I'd like to do so next year.
You're so kind. Thank you! I'm excited for your chateau hunt. Congratulations on deciding to make a big change!
Great video thank you for providing it. A small note though. The Realtor website lists the property as 2000 meters square, which would make the square footage just over 21,500
Thank you for watching! I will check those numbers out. Appreciate it!
That type of a ceiling is called a coffered ceiling
Very nice!!! I am planning to go to France and England in 2024. However, I do plan to visit Angers.
How exciting for you! You will have an amazing time. I took my family to France and England last summer. It was our first time visiting London. We absolutely loved it! And, really, you can't ever beat the beauty of France 🙂.
Beautiful and a great location. Would love to have seen the kitchen.
Thank you! I would too... Sadly no views of the kitchen were provided!
Chateau de Falloux in Segré-en-Anjou-Bleu, Château de Falloux, 3, Rte de Loire, 49520, France. US owners. very nice indeed. A steal at Euro 3.8mil
Isn't it across a field from a wind farm?
I'm not sure! I haven't tried to Google maps search it. That would be an *interesting neighbor.....
The whole point is to not have to pay another man's profit when you could have just simply found a chateau worth the investment, and the renovating, and done the work yourself...
Boats that don't have the savvy but got the gravy... let them play for it - for me, part of the whole muse, is actually getting in and letting your natural giftings sketch out of canvas and get it done...
There is a chunk of the population who just doesn't like to do the work. For whatever reason, they like to walk in and have it done. I certainly don't mind doing some work, but a gut job is not for me.
Everyone has their own dream, right?
Whatever floats your boat 🙂.
4 M euros ou usd is not so high, the real problem is the annual cost
It would certainly be something to maintain all those gardens and heat the interior! Just for starters... You're right.
Its definitely up there.
Yep!
Amazing property, however, as it's been up for auction 3 times with no reserve and has not sold tells me there is a catch somewhere, I can see it does need more work, which won't be cheap, but the potential here is enormous. Dread to think what the cost would be for staff, gardener, heating etc. Those stables would be ideal for my collection of cars.
I wish there was a way the agents could disclose the whole story on some of these properties... Sadly, as I understand it, they're private about certain details!
You're right... It certainly would require a team to keep things running!
Ahhh... Stables for a car collection. I am a huge fan of that idea!
I believe there are to be wind turbines placed on farmland that will compromise the views. Don't quote me on that but I do remember reading about it some years ago when it first came up after restoration.
I think you're, right@@coralgwyn-williams9933 Someone else mentioned that just recently. I suppose it would be an interesting neighbor... I've heard some stories about people who live near a wind farm. I guess it can make you feel dizzy to be seeing it up so close!
Beautiful chateau, great presentation. I do have one very important question that I would like to ask; How much are the property taxes in France for a property of this size and the 24 acres that come with it. Thank you, very much, for your response.
I don't know the property taxes on this one as the agent did not have them listed. I have found that they are far cheaper than they are in the United States! My guess, and it's only a guess, is it's probably not more than 5000 euros.
Almost as important....
Are CAPITAL GAINS TAXES, and DEATH DUTIES
BEWARE!!!!!
The reason it's been on the market for so long is because there are wind turbines close by. Not pretty, plus noise pollution.
Someone else mentioned that recently! Such a bummer. I have heard comments about people living near wind turbines, they say it actually makes them dizzy. Either way, it'd be interesting to live by I suppose.... Probably not in a good way.
❤❤
Beautiful, isn't it?
No la vendería y no eh visto el vídeo?
❤❤❤❤❤
priceless
You're so right!
A very good video, you see the chateau and not the faces of the author , owner, historians and other ones, which are not interesting.
Thank you, Anton. I appreciate your comment! Thanks for watching.
Someone should buy it & make it a B&B.♥️☮️🙏
Yes, good call!
🎀🎀✨✨✨🎀🎀
No la vendería y las tierras las pondría de lavanda?
You could, I suppose!
Kitchen?? Renovated?
Don't know anything about the kitchen! Hate it when we don't get that information.... It's so important!
this is the one,,, if l had money
SAME! :)
A possible reason for the non-sale so far is the wind turbines that has been erected quite close to the property, I do know that's why the owners are selling the property.
Ahh yes.. someone else said recently that could be the cause. That would be an interesting "neighbor"....
The owners that restored the Chateau did so at the proviso (with the local govt.) that the wind turbines would not be going ahead and then when they finished the place the Govt, went ahead anyway. They got scammed...

Impossible to live in these behemoths without massive constant investment in maintenance and a large staff
I agree! Maintenance would be a huge issue. Some Americans have enough trouble maintaining their traditional sized homes, you imagine how much work it would take to maintain this? You're totally right. If you've got the money, the staff would certainly be helpful 🙂. Maybe Bill Gates will buy it? Lol
@@LetsBuyAChateau i think people only think of houses as assets but they should see them as liabilities because upkeep is expensive and essential
@@karenandrews4224 You're absolutely correct! I'm a real estate agent here in the U.S. and I met with homeowners all the time that don't realize they need maintenance on a home that's even 20 years old! You're very right... Something this old and this large is a massive undertaking!
So this chateau has gone up for auction 3 times now... Why hasn't it sold? ❤️🙏
Hmmmmmm! Good question!! 😞
@@LetsBuyAChateau The last auction beginning of 2023 was "no reserve". ❤️🙏
@@LoireValleyChateaux that is interesting. No reserve? Like you could walk up with 10 euros in your pocket and buy it?
I can see not having 5 million in cash to pay for it.... There must be another story here!
@@LetsBuyAChateau Water problems? To start a renovation like this and decide you do not want to finish and just sell and leave, is unbelievable as alot of love is into it already. (Money ,love and much work) But if water is good and plenty of it, then do not know? Wish I won a multi-millionaire $ lottery, would buy it but as long as it was a multi enough to consider living there a long time and maybe having a bed and breakfast and finishing up area for someone to maybe live on property and work on outside area a bit, and keep lawns up gardens etc.
Think it would be so great if you could also purchase the drapes and furniture and chandeliers as then you would have a start and a good chance of making some money maybe as Bed and Breakfast and continue on living there and doing well. In time you may well need one other person to help out with taking care of rooms and what needs to be done to keep the visitors content, and maybe some refreshments in evening, and even a little music as they mingle type, softly in background, once in awhile not much, just a little soft and relaxing.
Special breakfast is needed for the people as well, so must be 'ready, willing and able. ' lol But well worth it am sure as you are working from home! But now this is just being a multi- millionaire! Then can hire renovations to be done on the rest of rooms, and Gardners house! Maybe his wife would want to cook, at the breakfast (If he has one) for guests as we are: hostess and host? But not intrusive.
Here we go dreaming again! But this is truly one you could dream about but first must solve that mystery of what is causing it to not sell, so far? THANK YOU for doing such a superb job, just sharing these lovely Chateaus in France! You pay attention to details and point them out so well.
Yes, " Let's buy a Chateau."
Over priced
Five interior pics, i feel cheated.
Yeah 😞
Tax a year?..thank you...
I'm not sure what it is, that information wasn't made readily available by the listing agent. In my experience, property taxes are considerably lower than most of the United States.
looks more like 16000 sq.ft.
Huuuuuuge!
again for sale. Why should they again put this on sale
I'm not sure why! Some buyers tend to back out because they can't secure financing. Maybe that's why?

Can you please give more info in your videos, what is taxes per year. Utility bills per month. Can you farm on the land ....???
Thank you for reaching out! If the information is available, I make it clear. When it's not .. I can't say. Taxes were not given for the particular property. I usually do tell that information. I agree that's good information to know! :)
