Kenny, I think you are a pretty great guy, you do all the camp set up, you do all the cooking, all the dishes and on top of that you serve your wife first. After your camp out you repack the camp site, make sure everything is locked down in the camper before leaving. I think your lovely Wife has a really good man.
Mandi is a constant joker. Lol I remember our first date. This was 11 years ago. We were in my truck sitting at a stop light. I was taking a drink out of a plastic water bottle, and she reached over and squeezed it....I got drenched! She laughed so hard!!! Mandi tells me that her constant picking on me is her way of showing how much she loves me. She gets some of that love back every now and then.
I appreciate that! I really try to capture music that adds to the videos. I know that having videos with no music is popular right now. I've had so many people tell me they would subscribe and watch the videos if I didn't play music or talk as much....but that's not me... I'm glad you liked it.

That steak was amazing. I never had a ribeye taste like brisket before. It was so tender. The marbled fat in the tomahawk rendered down on the smoker and was so flavourful.

@@KennyOfAllTrades Story time lol.. its funny to us...There are some of the towns further out they have community center sports winter spring, type things, that do a tourist van, winter sledding or snowshoeing like winter sports on the weekends. One of the main stops before Paradise, Mt. Rainier, in Ashford its called Whittakers Bunkhouse and Whittakers Mountaineering (lots of cool things about those places and people, also to get Beacons for back country hiking. And ya never know who you will run into, wink wink. There are other places around too.) There is a newer re built public outhouse, well years old lol but newer cemented. It is nice to sit at the bunkhouse, with hot chocolate or favorite drink, in the winter, so there is a lake and small hikes right around there but the Funny and main attraction to see the tourists come out of the outhouse building, their faces especially in winter, it is absolutely hilarious!! When they get that cold air blast... (The 1st time I brought my husband there, he looked at me afterwards blank deer stare, he's what other surprises do you have, he is still unsure when i take him hiking, our kids used to says its warmer to pee off trail, in 75mph winds on the Mountain.. ) Now there are real bathrooms in different places but it is so much fun to have some strange laughs because You know they have experienced the wind too. Lol
WOW... I truck camp with my Rottweiler in our old Lance camper! Right now we're on our way back to Long Island from spending 3 months all over Florida! I don't know how you do it in the snow - God bless ya!

I'll trade you spots! Lol, we have gone 4.5 months without seeing the grass. I saw yesterday that we have reached 35 degrees only a couple of times in the last 130 days. I'm really looking forward to warmer temperatures. Unfortunately, I would melt the summer heat of Florida. Honestly, it's the high dew points that affect me. I'm definitely built for Minnesota winters.

Thanks, I appreciate that. This truck camper has taken me to some beautiful remote places. I tell people it's like having a 4 star hotel in the bed of a 4x4. If you like camping alone in the middle of nowhere the truck camper will be a good fit for you.
They are big babies. Mandi and I both have Rotties. My Rottie, Hanna, was in a few of my videos in the beginning. I haven't taken her with because my daughter's like her home with them when I'm on my adventures. One day I'll have to bring her with.

Last year I made it further into the season. It was about end of December or maybe early January when I finally winterized it. This year the heating costs are up so I will take care of it now.

Really does come in handy. I don't think I've taken it off in over a year now. With the generator full of gasoline and the grill with the weight of the Carrier I bet it's close to a 100 pounds. So not to bad.

Great questions. My truck Is a one ton. I have never had issues with feeling drag or issues with the truck not being able to cool down properly. Even on super hot summer days with temperatures up around 100ﾟ the trucks radiator and air conditioning still work fine.

Rottie's are great. Mandi and I both have one. Tilli sticks by her mom's side like glue. She is a great dog and definitely loved. I may have to bring Hanna ( my Rottie ) with sometime. Have a great Thanksgiving!
Need to get Mandi to sign a video release, then do a quick interview regarding her favorite camping trips, unless she's like my wife, who hates 'em. Not a camper fan.
Mandi enjoys the trips. She doesn't come along often. We've gone on a few long road trips. She's not a big fan of the 12-hour drives. Mandi lived in a camper for a few years while she was in high school. So that lifestyle isn't new to her. The reason she is not with is because she works 13 hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I have been going camping by myself for years because of our work schedules. I work Monday through Friday. She is the one who suggested I start the channel. I used to take short videos on my cell phone to show her where I was camping over the weekends. Neither of us thought I'd still be making videos at this point. I'm humbled by all the people who follow along every weekend.

Nicely done video! Regarding age related vision issues, my wife and I both love using our headlamps for doing stuff involving fine detail - sewing, carving, etc. It's a vast improvement for seeing, even when there seems to be enough ambient light, it really helps.

I was a Lil disappointed.....but wow it was amazing. It was as tender as a brisket with more flavor. The fat in the ribeye rendered down and made that steak incredibly juicy. I'll definitely be doing that one again. I'll go 1.5 hours next time. It was a good 4 inches thick and 3.5 pounds. Delicious!

It was amazing. Initially I thought I may have left it on a little to long...but all the fat in the ribeye rendered down making it the most tender steak I've ever had. The smoke flavor really penetrated into the meat as well. It was awesome

Having a big dog like Tilli can take up floor space. I think if we would spend more time in the camper, we would find our own spots out of the way. Tilli hasn't found her spot. If I traveled regularly with a dog, I would set up a bed under the dinette so the floor space stays open. Traveling with two people is not a problem. However, Mandi will tell me to leave the camper when she uses the bathroom, lol.

Haven't been watching to much RUclips lately. We did a big truck camper adventure across Canada and down around the Sierra Nevada Mountains. But we're back home and ready to catch up on some of your videos. Almost 50° here in the lower Yoop. I so would love to try a Tomahawk steak.

My daughter lives in Salt Lake, so it was a little family time, then home before the snow fell. We covered a lot of ground in less than 2 month. Now home for a few months before heading South for some warmer weather. Looking forward to catching up on your videos. Stay warm and travel safe.

It's a rear carrier for an ATV. I picked it up at Harbor Freight. I like it because it's not as wide as a regular automotive carrier so it don't interfere with the lights. This one was a store return. I think I paid 40 bucks for it. They still carry it in stock. It's held up great, I definitely recommend it.

You got a good eye! That light bar was purchased through Amazon. It is absolute junk. It works, but it suffered from water intrusion the car wash. Ive ordered other that are much better. This was a no name piece of harbage. I have it hooked to a wireless silinoid that I programed with one of my home link button frequencies. That way I didn't have to run wires and a switch. Unfortunately my truck came with the snow plow package. I had to order an different overhead console from a truck without the plow prep. It was still cheep and easy though. For my editing I use Filmora 11
I'm amazed that you haven't done what should be normal everybody Midwest vehicle protection during winter weather. Snow, freezing rain, ice, and snow-cicles on vehicles doesn't need to happen. In fact, a pure, clean, dry, and warm vehicle (truck, camper) should be standard. How ? Millimeter thickness of clear (or preferred black) painter's plastic sheeting in various sizes and lengths. As you scrape off all that snow and melted ice on the windshield, hood, and mirrors - consider a painter's sheet (with some small attached bungee straps). All you need is pop the bungees, and slide all the snow and slop off the vehicle (no scratches from snow brush, paint and wax coating intact and shiny smooth. Snap the sheet dry, slightly fold up and put in the underneath storage. Result - a clean, dry, and shiny vehicle. And if it is in black sheeting, then the sunlight warms up the black fabric having heat go into the vehicle and engine keeping it warmed up from blizzard wind chills and cold/humidity, while also melting off the snow and ice. What about all those snow-cicles from the camper and all the snow and ice on the roof top and sides ? Drape over 2-3 of the biggest painters sheets, ... and again ... a total clean and dry vehicle. Now more intense winter/weather damage to the camper shell or the roof top tarring. The only other single need is the electrical heating wires and pads around the fuel tank, fuel filters, radiator hoses and metal pipes, ... taking care of any anti-freezing conditions ... and the truck camper is all clean, pristine, dry, warm, and ready to rock and roll .... It might look like some granny in a plastic shower cap. But granny still remains dry and warm - not frozen and a soaking wet cat, rusting, corroding, paint chipping, roof top tar cracking, scratches, etc !!!! Granny is definitely smarter than others ! And the plastic sheeting stops and premature cracks and water intrusion, freezing, and cracking and splitting and aging whatever surface is now cracking-and-freezing and having its surface being corroded and eroded - like some mother lode gold in a mountain freezing rain, ice, snow, ... and a mountain turns into an eroded mole hill of sand. Home Depot has clear and black mil thickness painter's plastic sheeting - 0.31 mil 9 feet WIDE x 400 feet LONG clear roll 0.7 mil 12 feet wide x 400 feet long clear or black roll 1.0 mil 9 feet x 400 feet clear or black roll 4.0 mil 12 feet x 100 feet clear roll Find the CORRECT mil thickness for winter weather (and no plastic cracking). Size out the needed size for draping over the windshield, across the hood and mirrors, down the panels, and front of the radiator (and bumper basket and generator etc). Size out the dimensions of needed camper coverage across the top, down the sides, and the door-side down and over the folding steps. Eezy peezy.

That steak was amazing. I never had a ribeye taste like brisket before. It was so tender. The marbled fat in the tomahawk rendered down on the smoker and was so flavourful.

@@KennyOfAllTrades Story time lol.. its funny to us...There are some of the towns further out they have community center sports winter spring, type things, that do a tourist van, winter sledding or snowshoeing like winter sports on the weekends.
One of the main stops before Paradise, Mt. Rainier, in Ashford its called Whittakers Bunkhouse and Whittakers Mountaineering (lots of cool things about those places and people, also to get Beacons for back country hiking. And ya never know who you will run into, wink wink. There are other places around too.) There is a newer re built public outhouse, well years old lol but newer cemented. It is nice to sit at the bunkhouse, with hot chocolate or favorite drink, in the winter, so there is a lake and small hikes right around there but the Funny and main attraction to see the tourists come out of the outhouse building, their faces especially in winter, it is absolutely hilarious!! When they get that cold air blast... (The 1st time I brought my husband there, he looked at me afterwards blank deer stare, he's what other surprises do you have, he is still unsure when i take him hiking, our kids used to says its warmer to pee off trail, in 75mph winds on the Mountain.. )
Now there are real bathrooms in different places but it is so much fun to have some strange laughs because You know they have experienced the wind too. Lol

I'll trade you spots! Lol, we have gone 4.5 months without seeing the grass. I saw yesterday that we have reached 35 degrees only a couple of times in the last 130 days. I'm really looking forward to warmer temperatures. Unfortunately, I would melt the summer heat of Florida. Honestly, it's the high dew points that affect me. I'm definitely built for Minnesota winters.

They are big babies. Mandi and I both have Rotties. My Rottie, Hanna, was in a few of my videos in the beginning. I haven't taken her with because my daughter's like her home with them when I'm on my adventures. One day I'll have to bring her with.

Another great video Mr K, can't remember last year if you winterized your camper thru the cold season while you were using it still. Nice romantic getaway with Mandi and finally got to see her😊
Last year I made it further into the season. It was about end of December or maybe early January when I finally winterized it. This year the heating costs are up so I will take care of it now.

Really does come in handy. I don't think I've taken it off in over a year now. With the generator full of gasoline and the grill with the weight of the Carrier I bet it's close to a 100 pounds. So not to bad.
@@KennyOfAllTrades can't remember if your truck is a 1 ton or 3/4. Do you feel any drag when carrier is loaded and you are driving on the highway or bumpy roads?
Great questions. My truck Is a one ton. I have never had issues with feeling drag or issues with the truck not being able to cool down properly. Even on super hot summer days with temperatures up around 100ﾟ the trucks radiator and air conditioning still work fine.

Need to get Mandi to sign a video release, then do a quick interview regarding her favorite camping trips, unless she's like my wife, who hates 'em. Not a camper fan.
Mandi enjoys the trips. She doesn't come along often. We've gone on a few long road trips. She's not a big fan of the 12-hour drives. Mandi lived in a camper for a few years while she was in high school. So that lifestyle isn't new to her. The reason she is not with is because she works 13 hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. I have been going camping by myself for years because of our work schedules. I work Monday through Friday. She is the one who suggested I start the channel. I used to take short videos on my cell phone to show her where I was camping over the weekends. Neither of us thought I'd still be making videos at this point. I'm humbled by all the people who follow along every weekend.

Nicely done video! Regarding age related vision issues, my wife and I both love using our headlamps for doing stuff involving fine detail - sewing, carving, etc. It's a vast improvement for seeing, even when there seems to be enough ambient light, it really helps.
Great tip, next time I have little detailed things to fix I'll put on the headlamp.

I was a Lil disappointed.....but wow it was amazing. It was as tender as a brisket with more flavor. The fat in the ribeye rendered down and made that steak incredibly juicy. I'll definitely be doing that one again. I'll go 1.5 hours next time. It was a good 4 inches thick and 3.5 pounds. Delicious!

It was amazing. Initially I thought I may have left it on a little to long...but all the fat in the ribeye rendered down making it the most tender steak I've ever had. The smoke flavor really penetrated into the meat as well. It was awesome

Having a big dog like Tilli can take up floor space. I think if we would spend more time in the camper, we would find our own spots out of the way. Tilli hasn't found her spot. If I traveled regularly with a dog, I would set up a bed under the dinette so the floor space stays open. Traveling with two people is not a problem. However, Mandi will tell me to leave the camper when she uses the bathroom, lol.

I think #1 clouds up around -40. That's compared to 17 degrees with #2.

Haven't been watching to much RUclips lately. We did a big truck camper adventure across Canada and down around the Sierra Nevada Mountains. But we're back home and ready to catch up on some of your videos. Almost 50° here in the lower Yoop.

@@KennyOfAllTrades we did Banff and Lake Louise then headed to Cali for a touch of the ocean, and then Tahoe, Yosemite and General Sherman. My daughter lives in Salt Lake, so it was a little family time, then home before the snow fell. We covered a lot of ground in less than 2 month.
Now home for a few months before heading South for some warmer weather.
Looking forward to catching up on your videos.

It's a rear carrier for an ATV. I picked it up at Harbor Freight. I like it because it's not as wide as a regular automotive carrier so it don't interfere with the lights. This one was a store return. I think I paid 40 bucks for it. They still carry it in stock. It's held up great, I definitely recommend it.

It's an old video from the beginning of the channel. I will have to make an updated video one day. I'm out in the shed making a video today covering some of my favorite upgrades. I'm not sure if I will have time to add in the generator. I'm hoping to post it tomorrow. You will have to keep an eye out.

You got a good eye! That light bar was purchased through Amazon. It is absolute junk. It works, but it suffered from water intrusion the car wash. Ive ordered other that are much better. This was a no name piece of harbage.
I have it hooked to a wireless silinoid that I programed with one of my home link button frequencies. That way I didn't have to run wires and a switch.
Unfortunately my truck came with the snow plow package. I had to order an different overhead console from a truck without the plow prep. It was still cheep and easy though.

I'm amazed that you haven't done what should be normal everybody Midwest vehicle protection during winter weather. Snow, freezing rain, ice, and snow-cicles on vehicles doesn't need to happen. In fact, a pure, clean, dry, and warm vehicle (truck, camper) should be standard. How ? Millimeter thickness of clear (or preferred black) painter's plastic sheeting in various sizes and lengths.
As you scrape off all that snow and melted ice on the windshield, hood, and mirrors - consider a painter's sheet (with some small attached bungee straps). All you need is pop the bungees, and slide all the snow and slop off the vehicle (no scratches from snow brush, paint and wax coating intact and shiny smooth. Snap the sheet dry, slightly fold up and put in the underneath storage. Result - a clean, dry, and shiny vehicle. And if it is in black sheeting, then the sunlight warms up the black fabric having heat go into the vehicle and engine keeping it warmed up from blizzard wind chills and cold/humidity, while also melting off the snow and ice. What about all those snow-cicles from the camper and all the snow and ice on the roof top and sides ? Drape over 2-3 of the biggest painters sheets, ... and again ... a total clean and dry vehicle. Now more intense winter/weather damage to the camper shell or the roof top tarring. The only other single need is the electrical heating wires and pads around the fuel tank, fuel filters, radiator hoses and metal pipes, ... taking care of any anti-freezing conditions ... and the truck camper is all clean, pristine, dry, warm, and ready to rock and roll .... It might look like some granny in a plastic shower cap. But granny still remains dry and warm - not frozen and a soaking wet cat, rusting, corroding, paint chipping, roof top tar cracking, scratches, etc !!!! Granny is definitely smarter than others ! And the plastic sheeting stops and premature cracks and water intrusion, freezing, and cracking and splitting and aging whatever surface is now cracking-and-freezing and having its surface being corroded and eroded - like some mother lode gold in a mountain freezing rain, ice, snow, ... and a mountain turns into an eroded mole hill of sand.

0.31 mil 9 feet WIDE x 400 feet LONG clear roll
0.7 mil 12 feet wide x 400 feet long clear or black roll
1.0 mil 9 feet x 400 feet clear or black roll
4.0 mil 12 feet x 100 feet clear roll
Find the CORRECT mil thickness for winter weather (and no plastic cracking). Size out the needed size for draping over the windshield, across the hood and mirrors, down the panels, and front of the radiator (and bumper basket and generator etc). Size out the dimensions of needed camper coverage across the top, down the sides, and the door-side down and over the folding steps. Eezy peezy.
