I’m not surprised about Miyamoto being involved a lot with this movie
He was for the Mario movie and he did it justice, hopefully this Zelda movie will be done the same even if it’s live action
He literally has to be, it's one of his babies there, he needs to make sure they are ok.
@@splatfan Yeah
@@willbrgamer5137 I know
I probably know this coming before.
Miyamoto should cameo as the Happy Mask Salesman.
As fitting of a role that might actually be. Miyamoto's english isn't exactly up to par, unless he lip-syncs.
That would be cool
If that means he’s going to ensure that it’s as good as it possibly can be then honestly I approve
My brain breaks a little when Sony says a Nintendo IP will be massive
Me too when Playstation IP is 3rd party and Nintendo IP never goes on PC/Stream
Why Sony, the company itself is involved, I think it would be better to refer to the studio involved as Columbia Pictures
For this movie they need to film on location
This dude gets it
Hyrule, Cananda
Hyrule Europe.
I kind of wonder if the characters will look like natural human characters, but with CGI features like bigger eyes, elven ears… etc
It would be cheaper and more effective to just use makeup. Just look at Star Trek.
@@geoxaga6507 Nintendo and Sony can afford the extra dollar for CGI enhanced features.
Elven ears are extremely easy to do with makeup. Big eyes would just look weird.
@birdflox1337 big eyes looked so so in Alita battle angel
I wouldn't mind if creatures like the Zora will be made with CGI/mo-cap
I'd love to see a cameo from Miyamoto in the movie, like how Stan Lee did his cameos in the MCU
Happy Mask Salesman.
@@arc7375 perfect cameo
A delayed movie is eventually good but a rushed movie is forever bad
The most obsolete and false quote that ever came from Miyamoto.

Technically it's the most obsolete paraphrase that never didn't not maybe come from Miyamoto.
I personally don’t think that’s a good quote, there’s so many flaws in its reasoning. It’s basically stating just because somethings delayed, it is destined to be good but that if something was rushed, it will always be bad which is not always the case
Miyamoto's heavily involved, Wes Ball is a huge fan of the series and the latest Planet of the Apes movie looked pretty damn good. My faith had never been stronger
I just saw Kingdom of The Planet of The Apes and it was amazing!! Im very excited to see what he does.
Just hope they Keep Avi Arad away
@maxpops8427 the guy has a 50/50 reputation, but since Miyamoto is there overseeing everything like a papa Hawk, I'm not too worried about Avi.
It would be more surprising if we wasn't heavily involved.
Fr, since he is the creator the Zelda series so it’ll be expected for Miyamoto to be heavily involved, hopefully Eiji Aonuma is involved too since he’s the producer of the Zelda Series
@@AquaNeptun3Same, I want Mr.Aonuma to be involved in this movie as he was part of the main development team since Ocarina of Time
I wish they could make it like the Harry Potter series, from child Link to Adult Link.
They’ll never do that
I hear that they rejected one potential actor for Link or something like that because they thought he was too old. So I suppose they're going for a younger Link. Which does make sense since the first Legend of Zelda game has a young Link.
@@Enigma75614 Why not?
@@RetroJack Because they aren’t capable of doing interesting storytelling like that. It’s just going to be a bunch of memberberries.
@@JustinGrant-jf5gvI don’t think Link in LoZ1 was young, OoT/MM’s Link is Young though
"Do these words bring you some comfort?"
Yes. Yes they do.
hope its like ocarina of time a.k.a the best one
Would that the filmmakers who made the 1993 Super Mario Bros. movie had had Miyamoto and Nintendo heavily involved when making it, maybe we would've gotten a good movie back then.
Maybe, maybe not. The original movie had far less Mario content to work with so filling in the blanks was kinda inevitable to the point where idk if Miyamoto as he was back then would’ve made a difference.
Just as it should be
Every time we hear about this movie, I get more and more hyped.
But why though? I’m a Zelda fan, but this feels unnecessary
I was watching Captain N the old 80s cartoon featuring Nintendo characters. I think it is only right to have link in his original dark green outfit. Check it out his fit in the 80s cartoon.
Good that Nintendo and Miyamoto are involved but I don't trust anything out of the mouth of Mr. Morbius, Madame Web and Wolverine Origins Tom Rothman
I'm more worried about Avi Arad, while he has produced various successes, he was also the responsible for many of the flawed decisions of movies like Spider-Man 3
I'm still not completely sold on the idea of making it live-action and working with Sony (does that make any sense at all?) and especially working with the guy who does the Sony Marvel films
but I will say this: if it wasn't for Miyamoto stepping in and really guiding Universal and Illumination through the process then The Super Mario Bros. Movie from last year would've been a total disaster for them but luckily they listened to him and the rest is history, so 🤞🤞fingers crossed that this will work
I sure would hope Miyamoto is closely involved. He’ll make sure that it isn’t completely unwatchable. Now whether it will be a great movie remains to be seen. It’s still too early to come to any conclusions, in my opinion. All we can do for now is wait.
İ am a huge Zelda fan it became with Ocarina of time in 1998. İ can not wait for this movie. İ am still waiting to see how this movie will work.
Now THAT is reassuring to hear
He was involved in the animated Mario movie, so it's no surprise he'd get involved in every project related to his creations.
I don't believe a Zelda movie is coming out out by Sony. I never even heard of of this until now.
At least that will ensure that The movie will be good.
Hopefully both Miyamoto and Wes Ball can prevent excessive Sony meddling. Look at how much stuff was cut from the Mario Movie.
That much stuff was cut from the Mario movie even WITH Miyamoto overlooking the project. Nintendo's far from perfect with these films.
Awesomeness video ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hearing Link speak. Still don't know how they gonna make that feel normal.
He's fine in the official manga comics. Should be fine if they don't pull a Marvel and turn him into some snappy, snarky quipper.
Miyamoto being involved makes me less worried
Massive for a kids friendly movie as it could be
Miyamoto gonna lock in for Zelda movie
Was hoping it Would have been Animated‼️😭😭
The cool think about Zelda is that there are many different iterations of Zelda. I would love to see a Windwaker animmated movie along with a LOTR like live action Zelda. If Nintendo promises that their outing in the movie format is true, then I don't think this one is going to be the end all of Zelda films.
I've recently seen a Mario cartoon done by Mashed with Luigi rizzing Daisy and it gave me the idea of self-contained universes where Nintendo IP is used like how Spiderman is in like 100 different cartoons. It would be really cool if we got other Nintendo IPs in different media.
Plus, I trust Wes Ball. He did Kingdom of the Apes and it looks amazing. Imagine cartoon apes in live action. If they can do that with Zelda along with its lore, I feel confident about the Zelda movie.
I think Miyamoto will be perfect as a helpful person for the Zelda movie.
Miyamoto is a creative genius. With him being involved, I feel much more excited
Perfect!
Nintendo: "Don't worry, Nintendo fans, this movie will be huge. I mean, it's not like Zelda has ever taken place on a small secluded island..." 😳
Im so close to beating the water temple, wish me luck
When i read sony and miyamoto i immediately thought of ps and switch. Fr thought the two console will collab or something.
Nintendo and Sony did collaborate with a console years ago. But it was only a prototype. The Nintendo PlayStation and I'm not making it up. I've seen someone on RUclips have it. It plays CDs and cartridges and uses a snes controller and has PlayStation on the controller. You can always Google it too see. It's in a museum.
Not a surprise, they were hands on with the Mario as well, mostly making sure the studio didn’t make Mario an idiot and the film all about Peach.
I’m sure miyamoto has involved aonuma’s input
I have faith in this film.
I hope Aonuma is involved in some way too. Maybe a cameo appearance or something would be cute.
Well they better hurry up while we still have an intact financial system
I'm curious if they're going to use a known timeline or do like they did with the Super Mario Bros. movie.
I have comfort.
Frankly Zelda is so important to me I'll watch it in theatres no matter how good or bad it is. Just to be a part of it.
Wes Ball is doing the movie. He did Kingdom of the Apes and that shouldn't work, but it does. If he can catch that same fire and direct it into Zelda, it's gonna be great.
Awesome!
I wonder is Gannondolf is GCI or Live.
Sony doing the movie; will we see Zelda on a PSconsole?
i just hope aonuma is involved
I hope Link talks in the movie!
With Miyamoto involved, this could be a new hit franchise for Sony. And a good thing too because at this point, they're gonna need all the potential IPs they can get.
Zelda will forever be Nintendo's IP.
The problem I just had with this movie is that Zelda games typically feature very demonic enemies for link to fight, it’s easy to make it PG friendly in a game as you don’t need to show blood splatter to sell it. But for a live action film, I feel it’s gonna be hard for them to make it believable while still catering to a PG rating. Maybe they can get away with fake alien blood splatter as in for instance, in marvel movies they can show alien guts splattering as it is not representing human gore so maybe it can work?
i assumed it was going to be a trilogy, but maybe they wanna make a standalone
Well that’s great! Mr. Miyamoto can make sure that the movie stays true to the source.
No, no, you added words to the text posted.
Yes!
wouldnt it be cool if caitlin glass was zelda
So, which game in the Legend of Zelda series will the movie be based on?
At the moment we have no idea.
It could be an original script, I wouldn't mind that but deep in my heart I'd like to see either Ocarina of Time or Twilight Princess get the movie treatment.
I’m glad that he’s involved in the movie 🎥 because his work is very well known for being excellent and the Mario bros movie is proof of that
Uh oh
There should be a anime like zelda movie
This is a Sony movie coming from the same company that puts out garbage like Madame web I hope nobody at Sony interferes with miyamoto
For the Movie being Massive I hope that doesn’t mean it will be long in my standards for movies i hope it isn’t more than 3 hours long
I’m cautiously optimistic, but I’m glad Miyamoto-san is involved.
I trust miyamoto, he knows the ip and can be pretty strict and firm about it with a passion.
The Legend of Zelda movie is going to be made by Sony Pictures Animation and I bet it will have graphics similar to the Mario movie.
The movie is a live-action adaptation
Thats good
Part of me wishes that Eiji Aonuma was more involved instead. The best Zelda plots have come from him imo, but I know it's always a matter of opinion. Having even Miyamoto doing so much for the movie is going to mean great things for it.
The writing came from other people, plots didn't really come from him.
i hope Manaka Kataoka is heavily involved with the score 🙏🏼
I would prefer Koji Kondo
Yes please 🤩
I trust Wes Ball more than anything especially after the recen Apes movie. He proved he can make a stroy emotional with characters that are not even real!!!!
I hope this is long way from now Who would replace Shagari if he died we don’t want some corporate dude to replace him
I think the only way for video games to be adapted into movies is if the movie is interactive. Otherwise, you're watching an hour and a half worth of cutscenes... 😂
Makes me think it’s not gonna be directly based on BotW which pleases me greatly.
Sony? Are we going to learn about how links mom died in the forbidden woods researching skultullas?
should have been Eji bigga
I'll be honest. Zelda is what got me truly into gaming way back when Links Awakening came out on the Gameboy. I've loved the series since but over the years the one thing I never actually wanted was a movie/series as I just personally couldn't see how they would get it to work (the animated series is a good example of how unlike the game it is) but the more I hear about this movie & now hearing Miyamoto is heavily involved which I'm not that surprised gives me comfort knowing that it's creator is not gonna let anyone mess this up as he knows this is a big deal & doesn't want it to be the disaster that the live action Mario movie was 😁😁😁
I don’t know if this is a good thing knowing Miyamoto’s stance on stories. And also that this franchise hasn’t had a good game since Minish Cap
Why isnt aonuma even heard of?
Tired of studio execs thinking popularity translates to quality. SMB movie was a smash hit based on the IP alone, but it’s nowhere near being considered a great animated film.
I still can’t really wrap my head around why people want these. Love films and love Nintendo IPs, but felt like any of them benefit from being movies.
If trailers for BotW continue to put me to tears, people are going to clinically depressed after watching this.
Still feels weird to think Sony is involved with this, lol
The Legend of Zelda is in good hands with the Nintendo and Sony's Pictures Entairment, Zelda live action movie is going to be the Greatest live action movie of All Time, can't wait i'm so excited for 2025! 😊❤
Honestly, I still don't see why this isn't an anime movie. That Smash 4 Palutena reveal trailer from way back showed that Link (and others) would probably be more suited to that.
I still don't why they decided on a live action Zelda movie.
Yes i do want a anime film. And hey that doesn't mean its not possible,i believe they could do an animated film in the future.
But live action sounds interesting, especially cus they stated that they want to use less motion capture and make this film as real as possible so that definitely means that they may focus on Pratical Costumes and Pratical Effects.
And that alone has me very excited!
That's exactly what I always picture when I think about a Zelda movie or TV show. I'll also take a Subspace Emissary type movie/show in that style with all sorts of Nintendo crossovers
@@DeityLink69the latter would be so good if done right~ legt handed link plz be there
as long as I don't need a PSN account
Starring Tom Holland, He's so cool.
Miyamoto being involved is actually not a particularly good thing.
Shigeru Miyamoto never involved for his movie acting career.
Please have Link be left handed. Otherwise it's no longer Canon
Please let it be amazing. Please let it be amazing. Please let it be amazing. Please let it be amazing.
LoZ is make or break
Does that mean it'll be a little bit better THAN Mario? 🕹️
I’m so sick of people constantly talking about how video game movies are bad, it’s such an outdated observation and it hasn’t been true for years. People just parrot it, it’s about as bad as “Mario Bros. 2 is actually Doki Doki Panic”
I feel like Mitamoto will retire soon…
I thought the same thing too. I think the movies are going to be his last big project before he announces his retirement. I just hope we get a star Fox movie before he retires, as it’s another IP he created.
I can see the next generation being more involve in these projects and leaving koizumi with the videogame side things but I still believe he will still be around for a bit longer
@@danwasheremanyeah…
I hope he retires. His hate for storytelling is ruining these movies.
@@SaltyToad00Isn't Anouma the one that does the lore for Zelda?
Ikd why, I would prefer to have Aonuma and the Art director involved as well, maybe they are!
sorry to be negative, but miyamoto is a game designer, not a movie director. any movie needs a good writer and director. the only involvement nintendo needs is to make sure the movie doesn't become completely detached from the video games and ensure we don't get a repeat of the 1990s mario bros movie disaster.
Wes Ball directing I think puts those fears to rest for me especially with the recen apes movie
I would much prefer Eiji Aonuma to be involved in this instead. Miyamoto hasn't been heavily involved in anything Zelda related in 30 years! Aonuma is the one who has been shepherding the franchise all these years
He also gave us tears of the kingdom... Look how that came out
@@cosmicXtropics so true, such a perfect game
Y'know, I was really looking forward to see Sony Pictures Animation version of The Legend of Zelda movie.
Crossing my fingers this movie will be peak like detective pikachu and not mid like the Mario bros movie
@@gsb300 idk can others go for a month without dissing the live action avatar the last airbender….the new one? Welcome to the internet baby
What does the other news have to do with the zelda movie? I thought this was a family channel.
...??? There was literally just this one bit of news in this video.
They changed the video title 😂😂😂😂😂
Im still not holding any hope for it. I just dont think a live action movie was the best choice.
