  • The Strikemaster display with pyrotechnics at the RAF Cosford Airshow 2017. BAC Strikemaster, G-SOAF was joined by a Mk.52 Jet Provost, G-PROV, operated by Swords Aviation. Contrary to the commentary here, the Strikemaster was flown by Mark Petrie and the Jet Provost by Jon Corley.

    Nice footage... what camera do you use

      Thankyou. I used Sony FDR-AX53 fitted with an ND 8 filter - the ND8 filter enables a slower shutter speed without the picture being over exposed, so as to show propellors and rotors spinning at the correct speeds.

      Nice coincidence and a pity I didn't take the chance for a chat. So were you the young chap to my left with your younger brother and your parents were sat behind you. I think you were using an iPad or phone? Or were you the chap to my right using a film camera and with a small pair of steps?

      High Flight is was some where near you because I could see the OV-10 Bronco

      It was a good spot, although I moved along to the very left hand end of the crowd line shortly afterwards, as there were less obstructions and it was quieter there!

      High Flight I moved as well but to the right where the whirlwind helicopter was.
