I love how you defined the space for you library! Now that the display bookshelf is over in your library, you can put your name on your desk! That will be so cute and it’s useful for your students too 🥰

I agree…get rid of the easel/cart.
If the rug doesn’t go with your vibe or bring you joy, then swap it for something that will. It’s a huge piece that defines the room. You will be spending the bulk of your week in that room…you want to love it!
Your room looks so cute. Can't wait to see the final tour. You might think about moving your mirror down on the door a bit- first graders can be very tiny, and the mirror looks a little high. Good luck finishing up.
I've always posted my Related Arts (specials) schedule above the door so that when we lined up we could look up to see where we were going each day.
I like the little bookshelf by your desk, and you could display like books of the month, and then put your name on the bulletin board behind your desk.

The white board stand could be used for a center like word work or you could drape an anchor chart paper over it for message of the day.

I love what you are doing so far. I like to plan it out first as well. As for your teacher desk maybe put it kitty corner so it defines your space more. Just a thought.
Do you runs your fans in your classroom because I do and it makes the room nice and cool that way you can turn the ac down to conserve energy
Hi! Can I ask how you mounted the mirror on the door? I found that my command strips didn’t hold up well :/
I just used two command strips on each side and then one on the top and one on the bottom. It held up pretty well!

Will the school set up some cubbies or an area for backpacks and coats since the lockers were taken out?
I'm still trying to figure out the backpacks and coats situation... Right now, I have cubby space for backpacks, but not coats in the winter! I'm still in the brainstorm process of where to put coats.
@@inspiringedventures1287 I think you will have to ask Student’s to bring in coat hangers…. In that school, some of the classrooms that had lockers had their hooks removed
