Welcome to day 2 and 3 of classroom set up! I was able to decorate and organize my desk, and put up bulletin boards! I'm so excited with how my classroom is coming together :)

i still have 3 years till i graduate college but i simply cannot wait until i get my own classroom!!!
Pro tip on hanging the alphabet or number line: Figure out the length of space, start with the middle letter or number and work your way out from each side. Saves A LOT of time!
That’s exactly what I do to hang any banner, number line, abc, etc.

Of all the many classroom setup videos I’ve been watching yours have been my favorite! You make it seem so fun and I teach preschool so not many people decorate their rooms like this but I think I’m going to try it! Thanks for the inspiration!!

It’s kinda of amazing that the classroom has a chalkboard- most classrooms have replaced those with whiteboards. I would love the classic chalkboard!

On your chalk board, (I have one in my room) you can write on it with dry erase markers, and erase easily with a baby wipe. I wrote my word wall on mine with letter headers on with just a simple loop of tape.

Tip: when placing things that need to be centered or even start with the middle piece...
Also you can poke a teeny hole with a blade in the hole and get the air bubble out...

It’s looking really good. If your school would let you , your desk top could do with a sand and refinish. Maybe that’s something you could request that the maintenance person could do.

I also have to remove staples from bulletin boards or cork boards. I'm not sure why.

Does your school provide any basic set up materials such as bulletin board paper, borders, etc.? Also, what will your class size be? I noticed your classroom is a bit like mine on the smaller end (you made it look great tho!) Just curious what your max amount of students is!!
You could do washi tape as a border around the alphabet board since a big boarder won't fit.
Washi tape never crossed my mind but that’s a great idea!

Here me out. Switch the short bookshelf and the 2 bookstands so the bookshelf makes an L and u can decorate the back that would stick out

Are your admin not letting you use hot glue?
Girl you need to use hot glue on everything! (Like the paper on your desk, anything on the walls/doors, etc.)
If you can’t put it directly on things, you can put up masking tape or painter’s tape and then put the hot glue on that 🙂
