Hi John, Interesting that your bigger buck AMATI kit has the same problems that the low end 1980s Dumas Unlimited Hydroplane kit I've been fussing around with for what seems forever - compound curves that don't work well with wood, reinforcements that were never designed/supplied along with poor quality punchings that don't fit well. Nice job you are doing with that kit though!!
Ok, I don't know the Kit you have and I don't know who copied from whom ! LOL But you are right the Fit of the Parts are only mediocre and you do need to make adjustments . I don't know yet how the fit of the cover is , but we will see soon .
Thank you . Well I do not really have a Choice of Materials to use since I have to get what's available in our Hardware or I have to import Stuff and that's expensive and takes Time . Anyway, so far I am OK with Elmers Wood Glue
