Pretty solid guide. Very useful for the beginner/intermediate level. I do think you can get a much better economy if you get more explorers, for faster expansion, prioritize riding and roads earlier, calculate more carefully, and get your first giant sooner (ideally T8 or sooner) to get that park of fortune. That spawn likely had a 40 spt potential by turn 10 with mostly optimal play
As somebody already mentioned, you can use monuments to achieve early giant near combat line to protect / attack cities. Also population growth can help you in this, so sometimes (usually in multiplayer matches) I would really prefer this combination: monument + population growth. Nowadays many multiplayer matches are going fast and without long confrontations, so your economy should be able to boost your military power from the beginning.

8:40 I don't really agree with that though, cause giants are so valuable so using those parks/monuments for giants is better I'd say
