Do it again but decide the tribe you want to protect beforehand, then try your best to find them and rescue them on a large map. If they die you have to try again. This would be cool 😎

I always feel bad when I destroy the AI tribes who have 1 city in the corner of the map who wont stop asking for peace

My friend and I decided on a gentlemen’s agreement to not use cloaks on each other. Personally, I think they’re completely overpowered.

If you're playing a long game make sure to burn forests and farm it's better and doesn't offer extra defense obviously costs more but daggers that don't have a shield bonus will be one shotted by knights so that's how you can easily get rid of them
Here r some diplomacy advices for u in case you wanna try this again.
Trust me, I abused the hell out of the beta, plus the update.
1.-Tribes only will accept peace treadys when they have the halo's over their heads. To speed up this you can set an embassy, fight their enemies and join with their allies.
2.- Always check who their allies are, you dont want to bonk one of their besties.
3.- Try not to put untis inside or around their frontiers during late game or when they dont have their halos anymore, they'll get angrier.
4.- Try each turn to check their stats so you can watch their opinion about u and other tribes.
I barely put my troops around any of my allies boards nor do I interfere with their business but they always see’s me as intrusive
Me and my friend have been playing the diplomacy update a lot together, always on massive, with 14 bots (majority hard bot, some crazy, limited normal).
We've learned a lot about the update, and I have some tips on when, and how to use it.
Explaining each opinion:
Positive:
Charming: This ai just likes you. This is more likely the easier the bot.
Wise: You are at war with this tribes enemy, or at peace with their ally. Peaceful: You haven't attacked this tribe for a couple turns.
Powerful: Your army is bigger than this tribes.
Diplomatic: You have an embassy with this tribe.
Negative:
Annoying: This ai just dislikes you. This is more likely the harder the bot.
Intrusive: You share a border with this tribe, and they don't like it.
Foolish: You are at war with this tribes ally, or at peace with their enemy.
Violent: You attacked this tribe very recently.
Weak: Your army is smaller than this tribes.
Threatening: You have military units beside this tribes border
Appeasing the AI:
This will be made in a list format, on easiest to control.
1. Diplomatic. All you have to do is establish an embassy with the tribe. You could also do this with someone your actively at war with, as a way of seeing the troops around their capital.
2. Threatening. If you wish to get rid of this opinion, just move all your troops out/away from the tribes borders. This is a dangerous opinion, so it recommended you remove as fast you as possible if that tribes opinion of you begins declining.
3. Wise. You can utilize this opinion by befriending a tribe that is at peace with another tribe you want to be at peace with. This is good for making networks of alliances.
4. Foolish. This is a common, and very dangerous opinion. This is the opposite of wise. This opinion often leads ai that are at war with you to make peace with other ai at war with you. This prevents you from making them fight each other. You can remove this trait by befriending this tribes allies, or breaking your alliance with tribes they are at war with.
The following opinions are either somewhat hard to control, or uncontrollable.
Charming
Annoying
Intrusive
Powerful/Weak
Peaceful/Violent
There's another negative trait that I found called "dominating" that shows up if "you're about to win the game"

Protecting all tribes is the win condition for how I always play. Never capture any cities, focus eco, build a massive navy, and force Pax Elyria, or bolster weaker tribes to maintain a balance of power. If any tribe dies, then I count it as losing and start over. I used to also station a swordsman+dragon near every foreign city- Siege but no capture- To roleplay occupation/peacekeeping, but that takes too long. Sometimes I also had an additional rule of not being allowed to kill super units, especially unique ones like crabs or Gaamis- Have to mind-bend them and collect them near my capital instead.
I like this idea but how are you able to win with such a small number of units if you never take over any cities? Do you take some cities but just never fully wipe out a tribe?
@@agnu1904 Polytaurs aren't subject to unit cap. I usually play watery maps, so that gives me a big expansion advantage vs. AI early game due to focusing sailing and aggressive unit movement, so I usually end up with the biggest territory to start. Aggressive early expansion is very important, since I never capture enemy cities. Also always support the weakest AI, so no one else is able to get much bigger than you. Once borders are locked down and I've turtled a bit while snowballing Customs Houses, I optimize Sanctuary placement so each one still produces stars but also a new Polytaur that I turn into a Battleship every three turns. Soon I have dominant naval power in every part of the map.
If you're not playing Elyrion, you can also get around the unit cap by leaving a couple enemy cities unsieged but stationing Mind Benders around them. IIRC I tried this once as Imperius, and it works but it does require some more patience.
Oh, and watch your Polytaur/Mind-Bent losses very carefully, since you can only replenish them as quickly as the Sanctuaries/enemy spawn them. Sometimes a sacrifice is worth it for vision, but usually I always pull back and heal. And when you do buy units, always go for the more expensive and powerful ones to make the most of the cap.
Usually I do this with 3 or 4 Hard or Crazy AIs, so I end up owning a bit over a quarter of the map, with my ships patrolling the rest. Fewer AIs is too easy; More is okay but gets a bit much to keep track of for me personally at the higher AI levels.
I have an video idea: You should play imperious and since they are kind of based on the Romans and Greeks so the challenge is that you have to organize your army for example when you produce warriors you have to group them up in groups of 2-8 so it’s like a mini squad or a mini army. You have to make sure every trooper is with at least another warrior to go with him and your whole army is made up of small squads and armies. Kind of like the Roman army with its cohorts and legions.
I know this is like the opposite but what if you had to try to make every unit a knight in spirt of the Trojan horse?😁

I think if u upgrade city's to have city walls the cloaks should not be able to infiltrate in order to balance them out gives walls more utility too

I'm kinda confused whether you understand the peace mechanics or you have no idea how they work. Anyways, back in the day, before the peace update, an ally mechanic was actually present quite a while. This mechanic makes the bots try to figure out if they like you or not. If they do, a halo would appear on top of their profiles, if they hate you then a corresponding icon would appear. The interesting part is, that if they like you, they would not attack you, which simulates an alliance. They can also like/dislike other bots as well. The way you achieve trust from the bots is by killing other bots they dislike (one's who attack them). This mechanic present in the current version of the game as well, I would even guess it works in the exact same way it did before the update. The only difference now, is that you can inspect bot's opinions on you and make a peace treaty. But you can only make a peace treaty whenever the bot LIKES you. If they are indifferent or hate you then from my experience, they never agree to an alliance. Hope this info helps you and anyone else who might be confused about the peace mechanic as well.
And by the way, whenever a random tribe gives you a peace treaty for seemingly no apparent reason, it might be because they are about to lose their last city. My guess is whenever a bot is about to die, it spams peace treaties to everyone :D
@@LookjaklooK they have a reason, you just don't know it. They see you, and have a lot of positive thoughts about you, since you don't have troops/borders near them you hate and like the same people they do

I've tried this many times it's fun
Polaris kept rejecting peace because you were intrusive next to their border which canceled out your attacks on Kickoo. Once you backed away they accepted.
I love opponents spamming giants so i can steal them with mind benders. 😊
I barely use mind bender to be honest, their basically a nerfed shaman
@@HoodieNeko The only unit you have to watch out for are knights when using mind benders. I keep my Elyrion dragons juiced up with them if they ever take damage. Just fly back, heal up, and attack. Polaris are my second favorite because I can freeze and steal their best units with benders.
