I much prefer a real gauge to the dummy ones these days. My warm and fuzzy comes from watching the coolant cycle so I can see the thermostat open and close.
So Steve Sanders, What's the next re-power option from Cummins, the 3.8L or the 5.0L ??? I/m guessing that we need something a little bigger/beefier for the average 1/2T (or 3/4T), 4X4 vehicles like the F150, Silverado/Ram 1500s.
Gauges lol the factory for instance on oil pressure if the min pressure is met then computer generates a value based of rpms , coolant temp , ect . I was told this is the way my old dodge diesel is . If you ever watched a set of manual gauges work you can see the temp movement especially if you got a lot of extra capacity in the radiator , heat exchanger .
George Navarrette just get custom block off plates made by a fabricator and use the factory screws. The egr and egr cooler are basically a tumor on the engine. Id also take off the cat when installing. I don't think that a code would be thrown for doing this
@@estebanamador7601 yea! A terrible experience I’m still trying to figure out. That shitty motor blew up with 10k miles on it. Now I have to undo everything I did to it just for the stupid ass motor
@@estebanamador7601i haven’t pulled it apart and probably won’t. Definitely a rod knock with metal in the oil, I’ve read about failures with the oil pickup tube in the pan but not sure. I was blown away on how poorly Cummins handled it.

Always wondered why not a lot of people are swapping these engines. It's because Cummins didn't make it easy.

No possible way putting the exhaust back through the engine does anything good for long term reliability
1st mod would be the egr delete
Step 1: Remove EGR
It does nothing for emissions but destroys the engine.
How can I do that? Will it still pass emissions
