- My dear friend who is an awesome guitar player and guitar tech Lucas La Spina give our thoughts on the Gretsch Nigel Hendroff Signature Penguin after playing the first two prototype models earlier this year thanks to Nigel letting us give some feedback on them! Needless to say, it is such a FANTASTIC guitar!

So very cool that you have the honor of reviewing Nigel's signature guitar at prototype.
Just got mine yesterday absolutely love it it’s literally my dream guitar
awesome! Nigel got his Signature Gretsch finally! now I'm GAS-ing for one! :D
GRETSCH need to hire you bro. like, yesterday.
Guys please in the description post the product names of the washers and bridge.
I can’t wait to get one for my own!
Hi, I was also interested in the changes you made. Can I know the specifications of the washers under the bridge?.
sorry for
my English . I'm an Italian fan
Hi there, im actually not sure what specifications of the washers are
Hey Jemmuel,
Love your channel!
I see Gretsch didn't go with the roller saddles on the bridge. Do you know if they fixed the tuning issues in some other way?
Do you know what roller bridge he put on Nigel's guitars?
Thanks heaps 😃
They have fixed it all!
@@JemmyJems Cool! Do you know what did they different?
@@carbivore I think it was the placement of the bridge, the filing of the nut and now every guitar is getting hand checked before leaving the factory. I played the production models and those are what i could see and tell.
Hey gents, is the “v2” you are playing a prototype? Did they address the tuning issue?
The “click” on the tone is the no load tone pot. When it indents, you’re bypassing the tone circuit completely. Volume is on the lower horn. Tone is by the arm.
@@Daniel-cq8jd no its not. Its tone on the horn for this model.
@@JemmyJems nooooo, get out! Was that just for the prototype or did they leave it like that for production?? That’s so weird!
@@Daniel-cq8jd yup. Its the same
Got one two weeks ago. Tuning is not "micky mouse".
Seems they have not fixed the issues over 12 months later
Did you find a way to resolve it yourself?
Can you do a rundown on your Sunday worship set-up (Pedalboard, Monitors, Computer)?
I already have :)
@@JemmyJems found it 👍
will TonePros TP6R N Tune-O-Matic Roller fit without drilling?
Nice
I'm wondering what Gretsch did in response to those tuning complaints. I see it still comes with the original Tune-O-Matic bridge. When you are already pricing it over $3000, why not go with the roller bridge and nylon washers to make everything right? During the playout at the end, I could hear the guitar on the left going out of tune again. I was seriously considering getting one myself, but after spending that much I would still have to spend more to replace the bridge and mod the bigsby myself. Has anyone with this guitar found it to have the same problems?
I just got mine yesterday yeah they fixed it
what roller bridge did you use? TonePros Nashville?
just pulled the trigger and order 1 of the Amber Flame yesterday. but I really want to know if the intonation thing already found a fix or not.... saw here and there on the internet some got roller bridge. some got adjustomatic bridge?? please someone help
It all got fixed! Wasnt intonation. It was just a build thing they were experimenting with.
thx so much Jemmy... @@JemmyJems
Yes but can it Chug for deathmetal?😊
Iink to Helix presets is broken...😪
I’ve held off on gretsch guitars for the fact that they aren’t made in USA yet cost just as much as USA fender & Gibson
Japanese made Guitars kill USA made guitars all day.
@@JemmyJems highly unlikely, but for me it comes down to principal. If I’m paying that much for a guitar, I’m keeping the money here in the USA 🇺🇸
@@Takeiteasy11 Trust me. They are way better than US made guitars. American fenders aren't even as good as japanese ones.
@@JemmyJems I have several Fenders; vintage & modern, US & MiJ. Only the vintage MiJ Fenders are constructed better. Having said that, I prefer the tones from US made pickups, single & HB.
@@leoolivero963 heck no I own 2 fenders a pro 2 jazz bass and a pro 2 Strat both of those had issues right out the box however when I got my Gretsch it was perfect “I got the Nigel hendroff signature model”
I dunno why its light maybe its got wings or something .
