Thank's for the video. I learned a lot. Someone just gifted me with one today.
I just received two of their bikes (Gray & Black) and one of the things you forgot to mention in your video is that AiPAS is the manufacture that makes the XP Lite, XP3, Cargo, and trike for Lectric and the A2 is basically the same bike, plus horn, mag wheels, brake & turn signal lights, that Lectric just doesn't offer. I'm so happy I discovered them before I bought the XP from Lectric and spent nearly $600.00 more.
How about a comparison video of this versus the similarly priced XP Lite?
Sure, you should make one so people can be aware before they spend too much money on the same bike.
I think this ebike is closer to their lectric 3.0
How much weight does the bike rack hold?
It’s a huge surprise if it’s true that AiPas makes Lectric XP 3.0 step-through foldable fat tires e-bikes since a few youtube users and video reviews compares Aipas A2 (Elite) with the online established $1K benchmark product XP 3.0 and even claiming that purchasing AiPas A2 Elite for $200-300 less is one of the best e-bike market values 2023. Is there somebody who can elaborate more on this info that AiPas manufactures XP for Lectric brand?
Huh…. Sounds like something someone who works for Aipas would want asked and phrased the way Aipas would want it phrased. Crazy.
How long did it take you to receive it? A here a lot of bad things about there shipping department.
I bought one last night on Amazon. How was yours holding up three months later
My Aipas A2 Elite after 6 months riding and 450 mi on the odometer had two problems, first the integrated front light burned and was replaced by Aipas for free under the first year hardware warranty. Second, the handlebar mounted display stopped powering up when pressing the power switch pad. Since the e-bike was charging still normally and the integrated lights were working, Aipas mailed me a replacement kit of LCD display with power switch pad for my own replacement, which is easy. Otherwise without these two unfortunate hiccups my e-bike works great so far, very satisfied except the very slow customer service of Aipas. Since Aipas A2 Elite is equipped pretty much the same as the priced $1K Lectric XP3.0 step-through benchmark e-bike but for hundreds $ less - Aipas A2 e-bike appears like the best value so far in the price range of $1 and below.
What is the lock mechanism on top of the right shock ?
it locks the suspension.
I’m a little confused from your video I’ve watched other videos. So out of the box can you get to 28 miles an hour if you pedal and speed five?
No. You cannot do 28mph out of the box, you have to do the procedure he covered in the video. I thought it was pretty clear.
This kid doesn't know what he's talking about. All you have to do is unlock the speed control on the display and you'll get 28 mph. They are sold with the speed limit under 20 mi an hour because that is the law in the United States. Why do you still have the option for the fastest speed. Just find anybody who knows anything about e-bikes and you can find out how to do it on the LCD screen
How do you unlock speed setting? Thanks
@@kjts33It's in the manual but this guy shows you how towards the end of the video. ruclips.net/video/Aybkc5e-m3E/видео.htmlsi=t1OfIgVzMOGoXX4o
should be same for all Aipas bikes
Does anyone know if AiPAS sells replacement parts beyond what is listed on their web site. For example, if I bend the front fork, will they sell me a replacement fork?
I wouldn’t expect so
It's a common size of fork you can get through a bike shop or online if you know the specs.
I already replaced the integrated front light, as well as the LCD display kit with power button switch that went dead. Chinese manufacturer sent the free-of-charge under 1-yr warranty light relatively faster, since it was available at their southern CA wear-house. But for the display kit I needed to wait almost a month until it was sent from China. Contacted Aipas by email exchanging info, including photos and videos proving that the handlebar display kit is the culprit, not other parts of the electrical system and then they agreed to mail a replacement display, also for free since I’m in the first year of ownership still under hardware warranty.
Can you hit the max speed of 28 with throttle only?
As he stated in the video, the throttle is limited to 17.5 mph. I've seen people in other videos say theirs was limited to 20 mph, and demonstrated on video with the motor cutting out as they reached around 19.8 mph, then they had to start pedaling in order to activate the motor to accelerate past 20 mph. With pedal assist, pedaling only lightly to activate the motor without really pushing the pedals, the bike was able to get up to around 25 mph on its own power with pedal assist. Getting up to 28 mph does require pushing hard enough to contribute speed with your legs, to crank out that last 3 mph.
It’s explained clearly so far that when one software switches from Aipas A2 class 2 display option (20mph max speed allowed) to class 3 (i.e., 28mph becomes the max speed but only with pedal assist level 5, not with throttle). In 28mph mode my Aipas A2 Elite allows reaching the max speed without throttle which in this mode is disabled). Hope this helps
Hey man, there are lots of people in the comments of the Aipas A2 advertisements on FB claiming to have ordered bikes and not recovering them. I ordered a week ago, and have since learned that the bike is not in stock as it has been listed on the website. Is there any follow up you can do to this review? It may be in your interest to separate yourself from this company.
Did you ever get it??
@@bigguy1403 no, nothing yet. Lots of people in line before me too. It’s still listed as in stock on the website too.
My understanding (as owner of A2 Elite e-bike) is that the Aipas Chinese manufacturer can not handle the increased market demand. Since Aipas A2 and the cargo version are very similarly equipped as the $1K benchmark Lectric XP3.0 step-through foldable e-bike but hundreds of $ cheaper, best value in this market segment of $1K pricing and below.
@@user-mz2kb7rj5qoh really? You bought the bike, and now you’re following the shipping practices of the company?
They’re still taking orders. They’re still listing the bike as in stock. They’re still advertising that it will be delivered in 3-5 days. It’s pretty messed up.
@@bigguy1403no. Nothing yet. 2.5 weeks, and they said 3-5 days for delivery.
Mechanical brakes is a no go for me.
Wow I searched Aipas A2 and the second result that comes up is some guy with ALMOST my same name.
