I've used this trick for several years because it seems like so many bolts are very soft metal and I round out some bolts even with new tools. Torx bits have more leverage and more bite than hex. I wish the industry would get away from hex and go full torx, especially on bolts with higher torque spec.
Wow thank you for sharing and posting this video. Unfortunately I had a 3mm torque screw strip out on my steering wheel, it was the last one go figure. Thank God I found this video. I'm going to use a T20 torx drive tomorrow to remove the beast and this job will be done ✝️🙏🌄
@@BlackWaterCyclist Okay unfortunately I have some disappointing news that T20 torx drive does not fit into a 3mm screw it's too big. So it doesn't work I found that a T15 fits into a 3mm perfectly but unfortunately the T15 won't work on this stripped out head. Are you sure that you didn't use a T15?
@@BlackWaterCyclist Actually I did some quick research and evaluation on your video that is a T20 screw driver that you used but I believe it's a 4mm bolt as the 3mm bolts use a T15 screw driver that's the difference right there.

@@Eurospec73 Oh man I hate it didn't work. Let me double check when I get to the shop. I may have been mistaken on the t20.
