Ok, you asked at the end of your video, why do you want to be captivating... Well, for me... I just did a quick search on how to be seductive because I'm not good at being sexy (or at least when I *TRY/attempt* to be sexy -- perhaps, naturally I am, if I'd just stop trying so hard, lol. Anyway, I'm sure I'll sound like an idiot to most, but my husband just left the house to go run a quick errand and I did a search on how to be seductive and suggestive to your husband/boyfriend. This is a great idea but just not sure I have it in me although I know I have that "inner tiger" in me... Just can't seem to fully chill and LET GO! I want to be sexy but not necessarily "porn" sexy... More like sweet, fun and flirty, come hither sexy. Anyway, I will save your channel and view more. I even concocted a drink prior to watching. I wasn't able to pull it off this time but I'm confident I will at some point... If anyone has any great suggestions, please do feel free to reply to this comment. Believe me, I totally realize how pathetic I sound. My husband always "says" I'm sexy and beautiful but I really, really want to blow him away and pull off coming off a likely erotic every now and then
I have your book and still find these videos incredibly useful. It takes a lot of repetitions to remember the science and the tips spontaneously. Thanks for all the things!
You are a great writer and even better on video. Thank you so much for both books, I have read both and could reread them and learn more each time. I try to use these books as much and as often as I have learned to use the techniques. Thank you again and I look forward to more from you!
Thank you! I've watched a lot of other videos about hand gestures, but they where all saying the same basic things. The tips on your video where very practical and useful and I've never heard them in other videos! Great content! 🙌🏻†God bless!🙏🏻
Certainly! This research shows how crucial delivery is to captivate an audience. I remember watching a presentation where the speaker used purposeful hand gestures and eye contact, and it completely drew me in! 🤩 Non-verbal cues really do matter - they set the stage for trust and likeability. A good smile and posture can elevate your entire presence. The Sense of Humor Improvement Program by Habit10x also emphasizes the power of body language for better social connections. 😊 Stay mindful of your gestures and interactions - they speak louder than words!
I want to be more captivating because I always struggle with social skills growing up and I am a personal trainer by profession and I know that coaches and trainers are most successful because they are captivating and charismatic and people are drawed to them from their energy!
I just got to know you yesterday and I really think your work is going to help me! But I got curious about Aubrey Plaza... How can she be so weird and so charismatic at the same time?? I'd love an explanation on that 😂
@ScienceOfPeople: It's very hard to push up my upper forehead muscles for interest reaction like at 6:47 without activating "sorrow" muscles. Why is that? I want to train it.
This is a lazy question because I have not looked at your library yet, but do you specific video calls/meetings tips to connect? It is better than a call but the video can be awkward just staring back and forth!
In my opinion all of this has to do with the overall health of your brain. If you bath your brain in positive feelings, you will act out these. And how to do that? Live a good life without drugs, alchohol or overindulgance. Have your life in order and control your dopaminergic acitivities.
Vanessa, hi, love your videos, I will check for your books too. I have a question, I am using my hands when I am speacking and dont think I over gesticulate but my husband dislike it, always say to stop using my hands cause is anoying ... why is having this reaction? any idea?
He may be very tired (if it’s after work, the additional motion in drawing the eyes when he is trying to focus on something else or thinking, reading or deciding things could very well be annoying: however, it also indicates that he may not be actively listening to you…when you weren’t using your hands, it was probably easier to ignore while one is talking and pretend like one is engaged, present and listening…seems like he does not want his focus to be on you in those moments). Also: women who are able to use more appropriate (not creative dance necessarily) hand gestures when speaking are more powerful and charismatic: so if it was appropriate, I would ask 1) whether he was at the end of his energy rope (while you were full of energy), 2) whether he understood you wanted to have an active conversation and it was a good time for it (or was he already deeply engrossed in something else), or 3) there might be a deeper unresolved issue on his end if the thought of you being charismatic, happy, and/or confident just makes him feel uncomfortable or insecure. I would ask him directly why it annoys him.
Counterpoint: Karl Marx, Mao Zedong, Joseph Stalin, Pol Pot, Adolphe Hitler, Satan. All captivating. Be careful about focusing too closely on the presentation rather than the content.
True … but people with good content are doing themselves-and, ultimately, all of us who might benefit from their ideas-a grave disservice if they fail to master the same arts of communication that the evil ones use. Think of the Yeats poem: “The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.”
@@steveinVRThat's what my husband expressed when I asked him what he thought about this statement! He does freely admit that he thinks most men are actually 12 years old emotionally.
That's not true, that they are only for females. Have you ever watched any of President Kennedy's speeches? He was a master at it. Somehow the erroneous idea seeped into society, that being a man or manly or masculine means being non-expressive, stoic, and aloof.
Can you do more videos on not believing other people's insecure projections- most people seem to be doing that these day- alot of slanderers and haters out there

Loving the "Lean In!!"
I love your tips. I teach comedy improv and each week, I’m trying new things with my adult students.
This is so helpful! I hope I can be half as captivating as that. Perfect actionable tips too, so excellent!

Can you adapt this for blind and visually impaired people so that people will be more receptive to us??

Though, I would use the words “how come” in place of “why” in order to not trigger a feeling of a need to be defensive.
Sounds like he hates you. Leave him
Badass
Now I'm unsure if what you say seems valuable because of the hand gestures and eye contact or because it is.😁

Hand gestures are for females. They are not very masculine.
Can you guess which hand gesture I’m giving you now?
@@steveinVR I assume the very mature middle finger
