I can't believe there are people out there saying that you shouldn't watch ''Predator 2''!? 'm glad you did not listen to them, 'cause it's a classic sf/horror action movie!
@@BigBoss-zi5ss people are recently reacting a lot on that movie, but I also didn't like it, mostly because of the lead female character, and the charactter of the predator itself. The movie ''Predators'' from 2010 was way better, and actually quite underrated, nobody talks about it.
What’s funny is half of them don’t mind the modern woke 🗑 we got nowadays yet underrated or misunderstood movies like this are somehow “worse” in their eyes.
Predator 2 was underrated back when it came out, but still holds up as a great movie. I was a kid when I saw this in theaters and the subway scene scared the crap out of me. I later watched this on VHS and its one of my favorite summer movies.
The Predator was using the breather because of his wounds from getting shot up causing him breathing issues. Also, the easter egg of the skulls, the Xenomorph (aka Alien), hence the rivalry of the franchises was born. Though Alien v. Predator showdowns started in the comics first, then videogames not long after this film, but it took 12 years to come to the big screen.
Very entertaining and underrated sequel. Predators(Predator 3), the first Alien Vs Predator, and Prey were also very good I hope you also react to them. I think you missed that one of the species in the Predator's trophy case was an Alien.
I think the reason it uses the cloak is primarily that it is a 7 plus foot tall alien that can't blend in at all among humans. Production wise, it also cut back on costs because getting the stunt men in the suit to do some of those acrobatic maneuvers would be very hard and CGI was limited at the time.
The first one is a true classic but this is a great and fun sequel. It gives us some familiar elements in a new setting and that makes all the difference. I love both the first two Predator movies!
Ghost is actually this predators nickname. He was actually becoming reckless in his hunts enough for "greyback" the clan leader at the end of the movie to consider options of ending his hunt in the city.

In the original Predator 2 script Dutch would return with another team to hunt the predator in Los Angeles with the help of a government team but he would share the role with lieutenant Harrigan ( Danny Glover)but Arnold didn't like the script and dropped out the project.
I love this movie. It's really fun and a worthy sequel. It wasn't quite as good as 'Predator', but it's hard to top that movie. This one was a little more corny, but I've still always liked it. The rest of the 'Predator' movies are really hit or miss for me, but I'm glad you were at least able to react to this one.
The reason behind "Ghost" breathing into the mask was most likely due to the fact of being hit in a lung. As shown in the "predators" movie both earth and Yautja prime are almost identical other than Yautja prime is hot everywhere
I’m glad you both gave this movie a chance. It’s criminally underrated and I consider it the best out of all that are there. Sure some of the Yautja’s mystique is gone but the movie expands more about the creature. In all, I enjoyed the movie immensely. There’s too much for me to write what makes this one the best IMO. Of course the real star is still Kevin Peter Hall as the Predator. RIP Kevin, gone too soon in 1991. Thank you so much for watching this.
The one that gave the pistol to Mike was an Elder and they're some of the top hunters among the Yautja. Elders have seen it all, done it all, they're no joke.

I was quite young when this movie came out in 1990. I was in the theatre and distinctly remember the poster on the wall with the purple, red and green colours. That poster alone gave me chills and when I finally saw this movie I was hooked and couldn't wait for a 3rd Installment. It wasn't until 2004 that AVP came out and everything went downhill. I do recommend PREY (2022) as a solid entry into the franchise.
The main criticism of 2 is that it has a totally different tone from the original. The first is basically a sports movie, even though there's horror, sci-fi, and action elements. It's all about competition and being the best. This is a lot less focused and more of a suspense film.
IMO, this film is not only a solid _Predator_ film, but it adds a lot to the lore. When anyone tells me not watch a movie or tv show, it gives me more reason to watch it. I'll watch a movie regardless of how others feel about the movie and form my own opinion about it. Those people seemed to have forgotten- we are all different and like different movies.

Both of your theories at the end is correct! Everything I’ve read about this movie, this predator is an adolescent, kind of on the equivalent of a first hunting trip. That’s why he’s using lots of different weapons and is ultimately defeated by someone who isn’t exactly an elite hunter like Dutch and his men in the first movie.

The Jungle hunter did have the spear gun as well. Its the weapon that originally injures Blain but the other weapons have to be earned. The City Hunter was more experienced as a hunter from the weapons he used. Unblooded (Juveniles) start off only with wrist blades and the combi stick then the next thing they earn is the Plasma caster.
I know a lot of people didn't care for this one, but I really enjoyed it. Also, I like that each movie gives you a little bit more information about the Predators. Cant wait for predators 2010 next. The 1st two are great and the 2nd shows how they can prey on us in different environments. The 1st one explains their advanced technological prowess and weaknesses. The predators 2010 movie will explain a bit more about their clans. The next movie predators 2010 to me is like a mix of predator 1 and the hunger games. Also it will be on a whole new level of environment compared to the previous 2. You may have noticed but the other species of off world creature in the ship this movie was a xenomorph from the aliens franchise. I also like how they show the predator with more gadgets this time.
This is just a Great movie! Sort of a hard-boiled detective drama that turns sci-fi/action. I mean we, the audience know what's up and Keyes and his unprepared MIB think they know.But the cops just think it's gang warfare until Game Over man.

I`m glad ya`ll enjoyed the sequel. Personally, I liked it more than the original. If ya`ll are still enjoying this series then I encourage ya`ll to watch Predators (2010) and The Predator (2018) before watching Prey (2022). I don't know why anyone would say not to watch this, it's a great movie and your reaction was fun. When you think about it hunters and military try to make themselves invisible by wearing camouflage or even making themselves look like bushes, the Predator just has more advanced camouflage
This is a different predator, that's why it has the weapons it does. Of course by the end of the movie, we see that there are many, many different types of predators.
Predator 2 is underrated. It's a pretty good movie, and I liked that it differs in ambiance and setting from the first one-variety is the spice of sequels.
The predators didn't kill Danny Glover because they have honor they saw it was a one on one fight and Glover killed the predator on his own ..you guys need to check out Prey soon

since when is hunting "fair"? you cant complain about him using invisability cloaking for several reasons. its not as if humans go after lions and tigers without an overwhelming advantage. and if he's hunting by himself in a city with millions of people, well its obviously necessary. he only kills people in the middle of committing violence themselves. he shows far more respect than human hunters show for a deer.

To be short about what the Predators are doing on Earth : their race comes over to hunt a little much like big game hunters or those who hunt rare and dangerous animals. The difference is that the more a Predator fights a powerful foe and endanger himself to be more badass, he gets recognition from his kind. Sometimes it is a rite of passage to adulthood, sometimes it is only for the thrill and "honor".
the Yautja have a strict code of honor the unarmed, young, elderly or sick are not supposed to be taken. When "Ghost" killed the elderly women on the subway despite the fact she was armed it got him into some trouble with his clan leader.
Saw this in the cinema back in the day.... he was chasing down the police because they took out the gang that drew him there. Going after the big dogs.

Now that you’ve seen this one, you must see the new one “Prey”, it is set 300years in the past and is an amazing prequel. The first half of this movie is silly, but I enjoy the last half, I enjoy. You complain about the Predator using his invisibility, but even humans would use it if they could too, hence the use of the silver fire suits that made them invisible to the Predator.

I remember when this came out the Batman vs predator comics where out at the time (yes it was a real thing! There was 3 issues and it spawned 2 comic sequels. Highly recommended reading.) This predator is supposed to be younger and more cocky then the original one, he's not the same one from the first movie. I liked part 2 better then part 1.

Predators or Yautja as their called in the comics and novels are a race of aliens that go around the galaxy to hunt prey to prove themselves and take trophies mainly the Skulls. Predators live by a strict code of honor they don't hunt and kill things like unarmed civilians, children, pregnant women and sick people like with cancer. Predators who break this rule are labelled as bad bloods these predators just kill for the hell of it even their own kind. The average height of a predator is 7 to 8 feet tall sometimes bigger both male and female. The reason the Elder Predator gave Mike the pistol was a show of respect that Mike fought one of their own kind and lived.

You have to watch the Predator the way you would watch a human hunting animals - they hunt humans. They pick a human that seems like a good challeange and they go for it mainly, but in the meantime they kill the others around it and take them as trophies too. Also the Predator is like a warrior who goes into high battle areas and comes out the victor. Because the Officer has battled his man (creature) well, he gives him a trophey the gun from a long time ago which means the predator was around back in the days when we were settling the west.
I really liked the sequel. I remember watching it the theater. The rest of the franchise is nowhere near as good. I did like the 2009 movie “Predators “ which is a sequel as well. I haven’t watched “Prey” yet but I will soon. You mentioned the Philippines. Is that where you guys live? I was born there and I am half Filipino myself.

I don't know why anyone would say not to watch this, it's a great movie and your reaction was fun. When you think about it hunters and military try to make themselves invisible by wearing camouflage or even making themselves look like bushes, the Predator just has more advanced camouflage
This is a different predator, that's why it has the weapons it does. Of course by the end of the movie, we see that there are many, many different types of predators.

Predator 2 is underrated. It's a pretty good movie, and I liked that it differs in ambiance and setting from the first one-variety is the spice of sequels.
The predators didn't kill Danny Glover because they have honor they saw it was a one on one fight and Glover killed the predator on his own ..you guys need to check out Prey soon

This was the first or second film to be released in 1990 with an NC 17 rating due to the strong graphic violence that was cut from the movie.

since when is hunting "fair"? you cant complain about him using invisability cloaking for several reasons. its not as if humans go after lions and tigers without an overwhelming advantage. and if he's hunting by himself in a city with millions of people, well its obviously necessary. he only kills people in the middle of committing violence themselves. he shows far more respect than human hunters show for a deer.

Highly underrated but a fine entry into the franchise. This was the last good Predator movie for me.

Now that you’ve seen this one, you must see the new one “Prey”, it is set 300years in the past and is an amazing prequel. The first half of this movie is silly, but I enjoy the last half, I enjoy.
You complain about the Predator using his invisibility, but even humans would use it if they could too, hence the use of the silver fire suits that made them invisible to the Predator.

I remember when this came out the Batman vs predator comics where out at the time (yes it was a real thing! There was 3 issues and it spawned 2 comic sequels. Highly recommended reading.) This predator is supposed to be younger and more cocky then the original one, he's not the same one from the first movie. I liked part 2 better then part 1.
I say pre-dator for fun but I do it ironically. It's still funny to find someone say it also.

I guess you know now. There are plenty of them. And each one has a special skill. And they have names. Some are superior to others.
Predators or Yautja as their called in the comics and novels are a race of aliens that go around the galaxy to hunt prey to prove themselves and take trophies mainly the Skulls.
Predators live by a strict code of honor they don't hunt and kill things like unarmed civilians, children, pregnant women and sick people like with cancer.
Predators who break this rule are labelled as bad bloods these predators just kill for the hell of it even their own kind.
The average height of a predator is 7 to 8 feet tall sometimes bigger both male and female.
The reason the Elder Predator gave Mike the pistol was a show of respect that Mike fought one of their own kind and lived.

You have to watch the Predator the way you would watch a human hunting animals - they hunt humans. They pick a human that seems like a good challeange and they go for it mainly, but in the meantime they kill the others around it and take them as trophies too. Also the Predator is like a warrior who goes into high battle areas and comes out the victor. Because the Officer has battled his man (creature) well, he gives him a trophey the gun from a long time ago which means the predator was around back in the days when we were settling the west.
I really liked the sequel. I remember watching it the theater. The rest of the franchise is nowhere near as good. I did like the 2009 movie “Predators “ which is a sequel as well. I haven’t watched “Prey” yet but I will soon.
