personally i would of kept that and made a new sealed box which is basically what you did but now don't have a ported box left for feature use, also this guy who makes the box uses cheap glue and skimps on glue. he sells them as 30hz
@@gastyle9445 thanks for getting back to me. I’ve been thinking about building 4cuf box. Then add a 3 1/4 inch divide. So minus that from the 4cuf the volume used by that by the subs. They mount 8” depth each. Running them on an inphase 7001d 7000w amp
@@K17G_OK Yeah that should work. Just separate equally adn should be good to go. It's always better to have a bit bigger box as you can add wood inside to decrease the volume if you wanted to.
@@gastyle9445 I’ve decided to not do a divide. But have spaced the subs 3” apart. Means if it turns out it’s too large @ 4cuf then all I’ll need to do is cut two 3” holes to make it ported. Will calculate the length of them to tune it to around 33hz
What was the dimensions of the ported box, wanting one of these 15inch trex subs but need to know how big the box will be to see if it will fit in my boot
@@gs0412 Porter sounds better to be honest. Only reason I changed to sealed is because it didn't fit. For ported 15 inch sub you need around 4 cuf. Sealed around 2. After that make your box to fit to the boot and happy days.
what a hidden gem of a channel
Thanks. 👌
Nice to see you don’t use the half moon. Looks so much better.
he left it on
how did you take the rubber thing off to screw it in

Customer didn't want spend more money on a new box so was working with whatever I had. But yeah I'd make a new box and sell this one.
That was a visual ice box
Is that what it was.
Wicked video bud 🙏
What C/F sealed box do you recommend for dual DB Audio 12” xtincts?
I believe that it will play better ported. But if you still decide to go for sealed I wouldn't go smaller than 1.6 or 1.7 cuf
