    I'm getting hooked at these Dick Powell's classic tv. Every single one I have seen is perfect, the theme, actors and of course Dick Powell, what talented man he was, it all come so natural to him. I❤his wit and he is so cute.🥰👏 Thank for posting them.

      It was the Golden Age of Television

    • @zukini8763
      @zukini8763 2 года назад +1

      The thing that blows my mind the most is that cinema was still relatively new back then, and yet they seemed to have really perfected the art of storytelling. And the wit and dialogue from these older movies/shows is unmatched. On the whole, I'm always disappointed with a lot of what is offered these days...things that are watchable but don't wow you or leave a lasting impression, or simply are flawed in certain ways. Ever since discovering these old gems on RUclips I've been hooked. And it is extremely rare to find any bad ones.

    • @MariaPerez-zm6hj
      @MariaPerez-zm6hj 2 года назад +1

      @@zukini8763 I agree 100% Back then they were more perfectionist, they put pride in their work.
      Today, in comparison, with all the technology the final product is only half as good.

    A little more for trivia buffs?
    This series, as it says above, was created by Blake Edwards. Mr Edwards would also produce Peter Gunn, and Mr Lucky....apparently Edwards had a "thing" about nightclubs(?). And more trivia? Mr Lucky's sidekick was a pre-Wild, Wild, West, Ross Martin.

    If Dante had video security he could make a case against the woman, her "husband", his employees. But video security hadn't been invented yet.

    • @jsat5609
      @jsat5609 5 лет назад +1

      It sort of had been invented, but it was extremely expensive, and not at all common. A high security military base might have it, but certainly not a place like Dante's. Also, there was no cheap way to record live video then. Even the tv networks complained incessantly about the crude--and expensive--video recording technology in 1956.
