Jim Witt -- your DIGITAL ENHANCEMENT probably goes under or unappreciated much of the time because lots of folks most likely don't know just how bad the images looked BEFORE you do your thing! Well, I've seen the before, and later your after, on a number of series/serials where you have been involved, and all I can say is -- your efforts can, and usually do, make a HUGE difference! THANKS!!
“The Heist Job,” Season 2, Episode 17, aired 6 February 1953. Kent Taylor as Boston Blackie, Frank Orth as Inspector Faraday, Lois Collier as Mary Wesley, Billy Halop as Johnny Evans, Peter Leeds as Harry Webb, Jan Bryant (as Jane Bryant) as Mrs. Marge Evans, Cosmo Sardo as Fishing Boat Captain, Clarence Straight as Police Officer Joe, Enid Baine, Nurse, Bill Catching, Narrator-News Vendor, Troy Melton, Cop.
Nicely cleaned up copy of a great old series. Blackie's car is a custom built car that is a product of a post war craze of building custom bodied cars on existing platforms. Probably a Ford under that sleak body.
Anyone know what kind of car Blackie is driving I used to love this show when I was a kid in the early 50s. I was surprised that there were only 58 shows ever made which probably explains why this is never regularly shown anymore. The three other shows I haven't seen in ages except for an occasional appearance on RUclips are I Led Three Lives with Richard Carlson. Philbrick had a store on the old Rte 1A coast road in Wallis Sands, Rye, NH that we used to visit when we went to Hampton Beach Man Against Crime with Ralph Bellamy Meet McGraw with Frank Lovejoy, another short-lived show with only 42 episodes after a pilot on Dick Powell's Four Star Playhouse
Billy Halop....Toward the end of his career, he had a recurring role as Munson, the owner of the cab company where Archie Bunker worked part time, in All in the Family (1971). His last years were spent making a living as a male nurse.
I wish I knew what was wrong with RUclips. You can't watch ANYTHING without it stopping & starting, stopping & starting, stopping & starting. Takes 60-90 minutes to watch a 30 minute show! Thought they had it fixed a few weeks back. Now it's right back where it started. RUclips has gotten too big for its britches it seems. Can't keep enough MEMORY on hand to keep things flowing. Maybe they should stop taking new uploads until they get things worked out. I hate the idea, but what else?
The good old days 1950s I love this T.V. Show Boston Blackie
Very Entertaining ! Thank You For Sharing.
"Follow that cab!" Now, there's a famous line.

Love this show better than the stuff today
@Hypsan Thank you for your comment. I enjoy taking the old washed out videos and adding some life to them.

Exelent,
Amazingly weird / futuristic car Blackie had. The door flew open during the car chase.
