Well you dont own it and during the hard times the software is revoked, then you can't make music to make more money for the subscription -- it's bullshit

Subscription based software is a one sided model which is heavily biased towards the product developers. It locks the end users into a never ending pay as you go scheme which only benefits the software company. The price point is unrealistic when you consider that to make music, one has to often subscribe to many different plugins from a variety of different companies. Add up all the monthly subscription amounts and you will find a staggering $$ going towards software that you will never own. I try to steer clear of subscriptions whenever I can.

Yep, this is more like renting a couple of great keyboards. It make sense if you only need these instruments for a short while for a project maybe. Checking the FAQ, there's a monthly subscription option. Having said that, I already own a couple of great VI piano's and soft synths that sound just as great so this is not for me 🤷‍♂

Fabulous video guys! For someone who owns UAD hardware, you only can demo Spark+ once, which is problematic when they release new products. The upside is that you can buy these outright and own them forever. Thank you so much for showing how two players attack the same instrument. Really helps me get a feel of what these can do! Cheers from the US!

Great sounding virtual instruments! For professionals that really like UAD plugins, it's a decent deal. However, for home recordists, hobbyists, or those that already have a good library of effects and virtual instruments, it doesn't really make since as that $20 comes out of your bank account each and every month whether you use it or not. It could be like that gym membership you never use. 😄

Bit of overkill, using a Nord Stage 3 as a keyboard controller. Listen with your ears, not your eyes. UAD plug-in is an amazing virtualisation of real instruments, but subscription only model kills the prospect of home based producers getting value for money.
