As a Colts. I’m glad he won another super bowl before we did!!! The memories we had with Peyton. Luck came and gone and gave us some UNFORGETTABLE games but man, time to start this next chapter in our Franchise! Go Colts!!
I remember this well. I was interning with a congressman in DC at the time and wanted him to sign with my Dolphins. One of the staffers was a huge Denver sports fan and talked so much trash when he signed with Denver. I was happy for Peyton when he won another Super Bowl a few years later though
Gonna be interesting to see how he does going forward. I am skeptical but I have watched a lot of breakdown vidoes on him and I see what makes him great. But I just have this gut feeling for whatever that means that he might not be the future.
I am a huge broncos fan but at the time I wasn't so sure about the signing for 2 reasons 1. Drafted Tebow and subsequently traded him to the jets which I thought was an odd move after only playing in a handful of games and 2. Manning's neck. But man, did it pan out!!!

As a Broncos fan I was 9 at the time. We had just come off the greatest game of my life wild card vs Steelers, and all I can remember is my father telling me, "Peyton Manning is in Denver right now"
I remember being in middle school during this and being a huge Dolphins fan and wanting Manning to go there so bad and hoping Reggie Wayne went there too because he was also a free agent at the time and then Manning signed with Denver and Wayne re-signed with Indy
You don't remember what all the sources said happened with the 49'ers? Peyton wanted to sign there over Denver, the defense, O-line, Frank Gore, etc. But Jim Harbaugh started playing pass with Peyton and tried telling him competitively that he could throw it harder than Peyton, which rubbed him the wrong way, just like all the players said Jim Harbaugh would show up in pads playing QB to demonstrate the offense. I remember this clear as day. Alex Smith went off after this.
I remember Manning saying he signed because Elway promised to work with throwing the ball with him or something like that. I really wanted a Cardinals Broncos Super Bowl for a possible shoot out with Palmer but we got a defense heavy SB 50. Still happy for Peyton though.
Note how at 7:02 the 3 mini-helmets directly behind Adam Schefter's head are those of the 3 teams that Schefter was at that point reporting to be the finalists in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes.
You should do a video on Brett Favre leaving the packers to the jets then the Vikings. There only reason he was a jet for one season was because the packers had a clause in his release that he could go directly to Minnesota.
As a titans and vols fan, i was very disappointed that he didn’t go to tennessee, i understand why because we were very bad in 2012 lmao but i think if we had a decent team and only needed a qb he wouldve signed with us.
As awesome as it was smashing Denver to win SB 48.. I was really happy to see Peyton still end up getting a second ring before he retired. He may have seemed kinda corny at times, but you couldn’t not respect the man and his game. All the years in Indy was crazy to watch when they were in the prime time game, watching him call audibles and read the defense at the line and field general that shit. Was hard to watch him struggle to throw it downfield in that last season/super bowl tho.
crazy to think about the possibilities - Washington Redskins = Manning vs Manning 2x a year - New York Jets or Miami Dolphins = Manning vs Brady 2x a year (at least) - Seattle Seahawks = the team that beat Peyton in the superbowl. imagine 2013 peyton with the legion of boom, ridiculous. the 49ers also would have been similarly interesting in that way. -Manning to Fitzgerald in Arizona? Lethal. -Peyton joining his hometown team in Tennessee but also a division rival, would face the Colts 2x a year. Ultimately, I'm glad he went to the Broncos. He fits the uniform really well, he had the greatest MVP season ever, finished his career on top, and the horse thing really completes the narrative arc nicely.
Before he moved to the broncos I think I only watched like 9 games as a colt... im 28 however I only started watching the nfl when I was 16 and from the uk and at that time the Internet wasn't what it is and didn't have means for gamepass and I was andalways will be a bears fan... learned over the years I've been naive especially when I went to uni I lived with a American at uni and got more involved with podcasts and stuff i learnt and that qbs can be better than cutler
Kirk Cousins free agency is a lot in depth then what people think. Look into it, it'd make a great video. I wanted to make one on it but I just don't have the software anymore to do it.
Peyton would have probably won two titles with San Fran but he didn’t want to play in the NFC because he didn’t want to possible block his brother from getting to a super bowl. Peyton was on record saying he really didn’t like playing against Eli.

We had just come off the greatest game of my life wild card vs Steelers, and all I can remember is my father telling me, "Peyton Manning is in Denver right now"
43-8
@@IAmAlpharius20funny you say that. How many rings do the Seahawks have?
This video really made me resubscribe to your channel
the amount of bad tv on this
Hope you are doing good brother. We miss the videos!
@@ColeAdams once the season starts up again I'll take another crack at youtube but I needed a break
@@pylonsports Can't wait to see what you have coming. No matter what I will watch.
Cole Adams thx man u too
Pylon Sports take your time man, don’t rush it. I hope the best for you.
That’s not the 1st time the Dolphins missed out on a franchise QB
Miami always passes and gets rid of good players. They passed on Manning and Brees. And recently let the best FS in the league go to the Steelers.
Heath N Facts. We got Minkah from them
@@andy7376 That was a steal for a first round pick. I'm a huge Steeler fan as well. Here's to a good and healthy 2020 season!🍺👍
Heath N Yessir
Out of left field... but the Deion Sanders Sweepstakes
That is a great idea!
could you do the john tavares sweepstakes, also maybe a video on the nhl draft lottery from this year
Yup I have seen some people suggesting that so Its on the list!
Cole, could you do a video about the 2015 Arizona Cardinals?
I remember being in middle school during this and being a huge Dolphins fan and wanting Manning to go there so bad and hoping Reggie Wayne went there too because he was also a free agent at the time and then Manning signed with Denver and Wayne re-signed with Indy
What about the joe Montana sweep stakes?
You don't remember what all the sources said happened with the 49'ers? Peyton wanted to sign there over Denver, the defense, O-line, Frank Gore, etc. But Jim Harbaugh started playing pass with Peyton and tried telling him competitively that he could throw it harder than Peyton, which rubbed him the wrong way, just like all the players said Jim Harbaugh would show up in pads playing QB to demonstrate the offense. I remember this clear as day. Alex Smith went off after this.
I still don’t understand why they didn’t just draft Luck and kept Peyton.
Somebody get this man on espn
The dream. Maybe one day I could help make stories for them.
I remember Manning saying he signed because Elway promised to work with throwing the ball with him or something like that. I really wanted a Cardinals Broncos Super Bowl for a possible shoot out with Palmer but we got a defense heavy SB 50. Still happy for Peyton though.
Great Video man!
Note how at 7:02 the 3 mini-helmets directly behind Adam Schefter's head are those of the 3 teams that Schefter was at that point reporting to be the finalists in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes.
I remember when I first heard this (as a Broncos fan) I was so hyped. And the hype was deserved.
Let's Ride
Loved it! Gimme more
I still can’t believe Gary kubiak turned him down and kept Matt Shaub smh
Hey could you potentially do one of these for Drew Brees in 2006?
Would you do one on favre being signed by the vikings
Can you please do one for the Brady Sweepstakes?
Could you make a video about Joe Montana and his decision?
As someone who lives right by Seattle who is still a diehard Peyton Manning fan I wouldve loved if he came to Seattle
Makes you wonder how different the NFL would be had he signed with them..
As a Broncos fan, he will always be a Bronco to me. It’s bias, but he brought so many great memories to me.
good video, but next time, actually atleast briefly talk about each team and why they were after the QB and the teams current situation at the time
You should do a video on Brett Favre leaving the packers to the jets then the Vikings.
There only reason he was a jet for one season was because the packers had a clause in his release that he could go directly to Minnesota.
That is a great idea I wrote it down.
Another interesting video would be a timeline of the rodgers and Favre relationship
Great idea! Thank you.
I would love to have seen Peyton in his prime on that Bronco team, cause even with a weakened arm he still light it up.
As a titans and vols fan, i was very disappointed that he didn’t go to tennessee, i understand why because we were very bad in 2012 lmao but i think if we had a decent team and only needed a qb he wouldve signed with us.
Could you make a video called “ The rollercoaster ride that is Notre dame football “.
I might throw up writing it but I could give a crack at it.
I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited as a broncos fan when manning signed
crazy to think about the possibilities
- Washington Redskins = Manning vs Manning 2x a year
- New York Jets or Miami Dolphins = Manning vs Brady 2x a year (at least)
- Seattle Seahawks = the team that beat Peyton in the superbowl. imagine 2013 peyton with the legion of boom, ridiculous. the 49ers also would have been similarly interesting in that way.
Can you do Philip rivers or tom Brady or cam newton or joe Montana
The Tebow era then manning it was a time be alive as a broncos fan
Kirk Cousins free agency is a lot in depth then what people think. Look into it, it'd make a great video. I wanted to make one on it but I just don't have the software anymore to do it.
Peyton would have probably won two titles with San Fran but he didn’t want to play in the NFC because he didn’t want to possible block his brother from getting to a super bowl. Peyton was on record saying he really didn’t like playing against Eli.
