Many people have interpreted the comment by Payton to have defined Mike's career, but they could not be more wrong - it merely colored how people saw it, particularly at the end. The beef didn't end his career, his hamstring did.

I had no idea Indy used to be in the AFC East. It would have been epic back in the day had they stayed in that division. Watching Brady and Manning play each other twice a year and battle for the division every season would have led to some historic games.
