Yes, I recognize it. I also have a specific place for my week's review. Then I can close myself off from both voices and process that. And I also think it's good that there are multiple modes in your head to get things done.

This reminds me of one useful exercise. Connect today to all your tomorrows, ie connect the doer with the visionary. It matters. Take some time to walk through the process with some paper and pencil and BRAIN SWEAT!
If you feel so inspired, here’s a quick walk-through:
Someday Goal: Start by thinking about the #1 most important “Someday” goal in your life. What is the ONE Thing that would be most epic to do someday?
Five-Year Goal: Based on your Someday Goal, what’s the ONE Thing you can do in the next five years?
One-Year Goal: Based on your Five-Year Goal, what’s the ONE Thing you can do this year?
One-Month Goal: Based on your One-Year Goal, what’s the ONE Thing you can do this month?
One-Week Goal: Based on your One-Month Goal, what’s the ONE Thing you can do this week?
Daily Goal: Based on your One-Week Goal, what’s the ONE Thing you can do today?
Right Now: Based on your Daily Goal, what’s the ONE Thing you can do right now?

Hi Bogdan - many thanks for your note. In GTD terms, what you've suggested is similar to making your way down through the horizons of focus model, which is an exercise we go through in our Level 3 seminar, GTD Focus and Direction. Best of luck on your GTD journey!
